Dunham

Dunham Logo
The Dunham story began in 1885 in Brattleboro, Vermont, with two brothers, George and Charles Dunham, selling handcrafted boots to outdoor pioneers looking to survive the rigors of New England.

Though lots has changed over the last 130+ years, men’s expectations around their footwear have not. They still want shoes that can be worn wherever, whenever and with whatever. Boots that are unapologetically sturdy and in it for the long haul.

At Dunham, they believe one pair of boots can and should go anywhere. And they take great pride in offering extended sizes and widths so that even hard-to-fit feet can experience the right fit. Each pair is thoughtfully designed with built-in technologies and waterproof features to provide you with extra stability, support and cushioning.

The Dunham Trukka shoes have held up well, despite my daily abuse. Support, size and width is as stated. After 6 months of daily wear, the sole started to break down a little bit, but still provides good support. I'm a Size 16, 4E width, so finding shoes can be a hassle. These fit perfect, not to snug, not too loose. Would purchase again.

The fit was and is great, the shoe appears to be well built and sturdy. The look is so good I am buying another pair right now.

My fifth pair of Dunham Battery Park shoes (2nd pair of nubuck). All have been well made, perfect sizing, and wear fairly well (since I wear them every day). I love the waterproofing so I can work in wet grass without getting my feet wet. Not as stylish as some shoes but fit my needs well.

The toe box was just right, not too tight and plenty of room for my toes. The arch support was good but not quite as high as I needed. The heal was very lose and allowed my heal not stay in the shoe when walking. I solved this problem by getting a pair of Dr. Scholl's plantar fascia heal and arch support orthodic inserts. After I cut them to fit and put them in the shoes the fit was nearly perfect and I wear them everyday. I may have to to size A2 to get a shoe that fits. Thanks for making these narrow shoe sizes because can't wear shoes that don't any longer.

The boot was very comfortable from the first step, no need to "break it in"--which surprised me. I have a very narrow foot & the width was close to what I needed. The boots felt lighter than the old New Balance I was replacing. The workmanship was very good. Overall I like them quite a lot. I had worn Dunham shoes many years ago & wasn't too happy with them but these are much better in quality & comfort.

Super stiff, and after trying to break them in after a week, still super stiff. Not enough padding in the heel for my type of foot, and generally uncomfortable.

Way too narrow -- although "wide", actually narrower than some D-widths. Looks like shoddy workmanship, too.

This is one of the only boat shoes that I can fit with my high instep - as Sperry and others are uncomfortable. I had a pair last summer and was happy to see them in stock again for this summer, and quickly purchased another paid. Highly recommended.

These are proving to be a great winter shoe - not too outdoorsy looking if you do have more dress apparel on. They are comfortable with good tread. Great all around shoe for walking to work - good for snow, ice, puddles etc.

One of the better shoes/boots I've ever worn. Size: 11 4E Pros: -Looks Great/Stylish, combines well with jeans and dress slacks -Just the right amount of tread on the bottom of the boot, some boots have this tacky amount of tread that flares out or makes the boot into a high heel. -Comfortable after a couple days or week or two, fits like a glove in the front -Boot-strings are pretty sturdy and soft, tucking them into the boot after tying them and they don't chaff -I appreciate the metal nut-like eyelets for the boot-strings (Good luck trying to break these) -I can't feel any stitching inside the boot, who ever designed or stitched the boot good job Cons: -There is a break-in period, I was worried that I would have to return the boot and try half a size up -The neck of the boot chaffs a bit above the ankle, wear longer socks to remedy, (Suggestion for the maker: Add a little more padding up there, it doesn't need much) -If and when you replace your insole look for some support and cushioning in the heel, it's a little loose in the back for me -The leather finish scuffs a bit easily, you probably want to touch up every now and again -Get moisture wicking socks -Only comes in the one color, while nice, would be interesting to see maybe a black or red-ish color Overall money worthwhile and worth spent. My recommendation for the break in period: Don't do anything high intensity till you've broken them in and found an insole that works for you. You'll only hurt yourself if you don't. Dunham makes some good boots.

The only slip on shoe I've found that will fit my old, wide feet with a 6EE and soft leather. Good (not great) looking, but comfortable and good enough appearance to wear to dinner, church, etc. I really like them. Also have a pari of Dunham candles that are great.

Exceptionally comfortable on my old, very wide foot. Not a thing of beauty, but.... Only downside is the velcro strap is so long that it goes over my big foot, latches in place and still hangs loose for a couple of inches. When these wear out, I'll buy more.

Bought these for my husband who normally wears 12 4E in shoes/sneakers. He’s had a very hard time finding boots that fit. Bought these in 13 4E and he says they fit great! He’s worn them out in the cold and said they do a nice job keeping his feet warm also. Jury is out on quality but they seem to be made well so we are hoping they hold up well.

i have huge feet, so finding 6E shoes is hard to begin with. these fit well and dont make my toes sore. i like that the lacing runs almost to the toes, too many other brands only have lacing above the arch, and my feet are too wide for that. This is my 3rd pair (same style/shoe) takes me about 5-6 years to wear them out. at 350lbs, and i walk like a duck, thats a huge lifespan from shoes. for instance, cheap/retail shoes usually last less than one year. in this case, i never broke the arch or the heel support. again, rare for me, i usually break both in shoes. instead they were replaced for heel and toe wear. I did put in new insoles, Superfeet Premium Green - Wide Fit. they fit perfect in the shoe. i wear out insoles in about 1 year, but these lasted 4 more.

I work in an auto manufacturing facility where I walk or stand on concrete for 10 to 12 hours a day. The shoes feel awesome- straight out of the box from Day 1!!!!! I'm a Keen fan, and now I'm also a Dunham fan. I rotate shoes every other day and I'm sure another pair of Dunhams will be purchased. Size runs a bit smalller, next time I'll 1.2 size up.
