Brahmin believes that the handbag makes the outfit. Since 1982, they have been creating handbags and accessories that combine inspired functionality, quality materials, and standout style. Selecting luxe leathers and on-trend accents, their team designs 100% of the products in-house in Massachusetts. There is an attention to detail that cannot be missed, and it takes over two dozen artisans over 100 steps to make each handbag. The result is a modern collection showcasing their signature textures.
Beautiful bag! The color of this bag is amazing. It goes with everything. The size is perfect: not too big but not too small. It has a zipper at the top to keep everything inside the purse. I get compliments on it all the time. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this bag again and plan to buy more bags from this brand.
I own quite a few Brahmin bags and enjoy them for quality, style and durability BUT this time I came away feeling a though the bag had been hijacked by a knock-off operation somewhere. The colors look perfect online and in person BUT the texture of the material does NOT feel like leather at all! It feels like extremely stiff shiny coated plastic coating over the colors! No way I want this even though the colors were perfect for the shoes I sought to match. Zapping it back to Zappos!
Overall I think this is a beautiful handbag. It wasn't the right size for my needs (a little too big) but I love the color and design. I did notice a few flaws/scratches on the gold hardware however the bag was packed very well and in pretty good condition.
I actually use my Brahmin bags as laptop bags. I prefer folks think I like makeup too much instead of realizing I'm carrying $5k worth of electronics. This bag is perfect. The Medium Misha is a great size.
I carry a 13" MBP, a makeup bag, a medium toolkit, cables, battery backup for the laptop, hairbrush, and other miscellaneous items, and they all fit in the Medium Misha. They actually fit better in the Medium Misha than in the Large Duxbury which has larger measurements, but the design of the Medium Misha gives more room.
BTW, I use the matching Kayla bag as the toolkit holder, a Brahmin Daisy bag for the makeup kit, and the Brahmin Circle Coin Purse for the cables, and a small card wallet for my credit cards to give an idea of size. Oh, and the Circle Coin Purse is absolutely perfect for holding cables (and we all carry cables now) and not allowing them to be destroyed.
The look of the Papaver is fantastic! it looks good and elegant while also looking a bit flirty and upbeat. it matches tons of stuff in my closet, too!
Between my daughter and I we probably have 10 of their bags they hold up extremely well, I've had some bags for 15 years and they look as good today as the day I bought them.. Classic never goes out of style this is an investment Handbag!! And the inside pocket holds a passport perfectly!!!?
Very high quality. Bought it for a wedding (as a guest). Large enough to hold what I wanted it for (iPhone, credit cards, cash, lipstick, lip liner & sun glasses). I purchased the “eden” color. It didn’t go well with the shoes & dress so I am returning it.
What a fabulous bag. So different, beautiful and functional (but) not for me. I am seeing more and more handbag designers opting out of the security of a buckle to adjust the crossbody strap to this knob-that-inserts-into-hole-in-strap. Not secure at all. One tug on the strap and voila... unsecure. Speaking for me, I would pay the extra $$ for a buckle. I'm guessing next is velcro as is witnessed by the shoe industry. Are buckles really that expensive?! I'm sticking with Coach who still offers this option and still within my price point. Again, this bag is absolutely gorgeous and (in my opinion) was cheapened by this option.
Initially ordered the Pecan and sent back, color not as pictured. Re-ordered the Latte, much nicer IMO. Too bad there aren't more colors though.
Note, when I received the Latte it didn't have the thin film protector on the Brahmin name bar. Some light surface scratches were visible. I won't return because this is not my 1st Brahmin and I know the scuffs with appear anyhow with regular usage. But at this price point, the wallet should arrive flawless.
Brahmin has become one of my favorite handbags, so I set out in search of a different style and smaller than the one I currently own. The bag I purchased was beautifully crafted as expected, but the color and size did not work for me. Looking at colors online can be challenging. With regret, I had to return it, but I am determined to keep trying to get the right one. Brahmin has made me a loyal customer.
This is a perfect bag to replace another bag that I've likely used for the better part of 10 years. It's large and light compared to some others. I see that the black (my purchase) is no longer listed on this page. I love the Aquarius color though. Hmmmm.. I'd buy that color. Anyhow, best birthday gift.
The Pecan color is very rich and the bag is very well made. Features are very thoughtful. The size and shape is just right -- not too small, big, or heavy. Shortfalls concern very stiff leather. A bit more give in the leather would make for a bag with easier access. For example, big enough for gloves, the back slip pocket is too stiff for easy access. The lock style could, also, be improved.
