Very attractive / unique style for a hiking boot. Love that they are waterproof and not clunky or heavy. The sizing seems off. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 in boots. I ordered the 7.5 and they still feel a bit tight. The part of the boot that covers the ankle was rubbing uncomfortably on the left boot. Sadly returning .....

Based on other reviews, which suggested to go up a size, if you were in between sizes. My Astrals came in and were too big for me! Normally a size 7.5-8 women’s, I purchased a size 8 only to find they were too big! Customer service was great and they have a size 7 coming in the mail! Excited to see how they fit. Overall, stylish, comfortable, and lightweight. Hoping they fit well, purchased for backpacking trips which require me to cross rivers/creeks!

Excellent quality, out of the box. Haven’t worn them yet because I need to size down. The grooves in the footbed aren’t exactly aligned with my foot so I’d prefer that they weren’t so prominent. I wear between an 8.5-9 in shoes and occasionally an 8 in sandals. I ordered a 9 and have 1/2” of extra space, so I am going to exchange for an 8. They hug my foot nicely and there’s no pinching, sliding or rubbing.

These shoes are fantastic. They felt great right out of the box and my husband commented on how cool they looked. I was looking for a barefoot shoe with no animal product (which is surprisingly hard to find). These are great. Can wear with or without socks and feel like I could walk miles. I think they are technically water shoes so I guess that is a bonus. I am embarking on a 2 1/2 week trip to Europe with just carryon so was looking for kind of an "everything and everywhere shoe". This fits the bill. I would have preferred tan but the the grey will work. I usually wear 8 1/2 and have a wide foot. Size 9 fit perfectly.

I bought these to use for resistance training and more of a casual shoe, but they are a fantastic water shoe, as designed. The grip is very impressive, between the rubber compound and the siping on the sole. The insole provides a surprising amount of cushion/support, but keep in mind that these are still definitely a minimal shoe. Pull tabs make for easy on and off and the mesh + drain holes keep things airy and get water out pretty quickly. They're a little pricey, but well-made and a good buy in my opinion. I think they are pretty stylish for a water-specific shoe and can look great casually. As for sizing, I'm usually an 11.5 or 12 in shoes and I'm glad I went with the 12. I think they run ever so slightly small. I appreciate the anatomical toebox, but if you are coming from other barefoot-style shoes, these seem to fit a bit narrower.

These are actually water shoes which wasn’t especially obvious on Zappos. Usually they are listed as Loyak W’s. Not enough support for walking trails.

This is a surprise win for people with the curse of being a consumer who is “Tall” but not “Big”. If your looking for a 14M that holds your long skinny feet without smooshing your toes, this one is for you.

Beautiful shoe but a bit too hard to put on for older person. Also felt a bit tight, maybe not a half size but still uncomfortable.

I usually wear 7.5 W, so I went with 8. The shape of the toebox is great. Alas, the shoes failed to fit in exactly the ways you would expect from sizing up. The manufacturer needs to offer half sizes. There is no lateral stability with these shoes. Bad for housework, but good for Tai chi. It's easy to replace the footbed, so this would be a good minimalist shoe for some one who must wear custom orthotics.

I really like the shape of the footbed. It’s similar to a barefoot feel with zero drop and the toe box is wide enough for natural splay but doesn’t look ridiculously wide. The straps are easy to adjust, which is great for my bunion. The buckles are quite large, which has a stylish look, but it would be nice to introduce a style with a slimmer buckle for a more streamlined look. I haven’t worn outside yet so I’m curious about the other reviewer’s comment about the footbed being uncomfortable with sweaty feet.

Love everything about these EXCEPT the EVA footbed. Really comfortable for a barefoot sandal and surprisingly nice looking on, but it's no fun sliding around on sweaty feet. Why are there so many sandals with EVA footbeds? Am I the only one who hates the sweaty feel of it? If it weren't for that, I would have loved these.

This is a very early review, I just got them and am super excited, so might come back and update if I remember! Despite spending a lot of time on the water (outrigger canoe, mostly), I *hate* water booties/shoes. I've tried a buncha them and end up just giving them away. So even in cold Norcal weather, I'll go barefoot. But I really do need some protection sometimes, so I'm giving these a shot. My first impression is that this is a great scrambler kinda water shoe, good for short bits outta the water and low profile enough to be comfy when wet. My buddy who does SUP has these and loves them. Sizing: I started with a size 6 (I'm probably 6-6.5) and it was a true to size/snug fit. I ended up with a 7 because I wanted the extra room so I'd struggle less to get them on/off (and figure I can use the laces to tighten if needed).

Very comfortable. I put in a lot of walking miles every day, and bunions and joint pain are killing me. I've wasted a whole lot of money trying to find shoes that I can wear, and probably cost Zappos a lot too with all of the shoes I've returned. Finally, the holy grail. These work for painful feet; apparently less is more.

I'm so sad about these boots. They are so good looking and lightweight, but they run a size small. I'm usually a size 10, but ordered an 11 so I could use my custom insoles in these. But they are too small to even fit my foot, without the insoles. So disappointing. If you are not topping out of the sizes like I did, make sure to order at least 1 size too big. I would absolutely buy these if they fit!

Stylish, comfortable shoe with great grip! I am extremely happy with the fit, as an 11 is often a bit too small, and larger sizes are not available in this, as with most women's shoes. Not enough toe room to manage an extended hike, but long enough for casual wear. I would purchase the hemp version, as well, if it were made available in an 11 or larger.

Loved a version of this shoe when I tried it on in a store, but without socks I didn't love the cobblestone feel of the sole.

I loved the bottom of these shoes, it's the top that caused me to send them back. Even with thin socks, the seams of the top part of the shoe was too scratchy. If I wore these all day without socks while also walking and doing watersports, those areas on the top of my foot would no doubt get blisters.

I tried these boots even though there were no previous reviews and I’m really glad that I did. They are super cute and really well made. I was worried the canvas would feel flimsy or thin, but this is not the case. These are tough shoes and I can definitely see how they are going to be waterproof. The beet red color is not really red at all, it is more of a dark burgundy. I actually like it better! I am usually between an 8.5 or 9 and I’m going with the 9. I feel like I could almost wear a 9.5, so if you are between two sizes, I would definitely go with the bigger size.
