Arche´s unique care with the traditional tannery process allows these leathers to maintain their authentic look and feel.

Arche was established in Paris in 1968 by Pierre Robert Helaine with the philosophy: “If you can´t think, walk. If you are thinking too much, walk. If you are thinking bad thoughts, keep walking.”

Paris is where fashion begins and where all Arche products are designed. As a result, these Arche shoes, boots, and sandals easily accessorize and relate to the most current ready to wear, outerwear, and swimwear trends.

Arche begins with the belief that black and brown do not go with everything. Every Arche collection of shoes, boots, and sandals are then offered in a myriad of coloration that correspond exactly to fashion enabling our customer to always look her best.

All Arche shoes, boots, and sandals feature 100% natural latex cushioning for maximum durability, flexibility, and unrelenting shock absorption. Supple water and scratch-resistant nubuck leather repels the elements while creating a cozy and breathable home for the foot. All Arche shoes, boots, and sandals provide instant comfort that will create a bounce in each step.

For 40 years, Arche has been assembling its shoes, boots, and sandals in the Chateau Region of France, not far from Paris. Every pair of Arche shoes are handcrafted to perfection with the goal of providing the absolute best product possible.

Pulsa made me stand taller and straighter. Arch support Is built into shape of the latex footbed. Often wear a size 8 1/2 W in other brands but these accommodated my wider foot and didn’t feel too long. Took slightly more wear-time than Arche’s nubuck sandals to fit like a glove (like Arches from my past). It’s designed that way. Wore sock less. Felt good. Looked great. Thrilled. Gold tone matches/compliments my leg color.

Some time ago, on Zappos, I bought a great pair of Arche pumps. Since then, I've been trying to find another pair of this brand that work for me, but this is the most recent try that didn't work out. The suede of the shoe is beautiful - actually almost too nice as it seems soft enough to scuff easily. The soft suede provides no arch support and because the sole is narrower than the upper (or seems that way), the shoe felt wobbly, even though it's basically a flat. This is the main reason I am returning them. Another small item - usually these pricey shoes come with a cloth shoe bag but this one didn't. A pair of this material would need careful keeping. If this shoe was in a firmer leather, with some arch support, would be a nice shoe as it does look good for both slacks and skirts.

These boots are pricey but rockstars. They hug my feet -- if you have wide feet these won't work -- and the leather is supple and gorgeous.

I bought and am returning a gray pair that is on sale. The color is called Nabuco. If your feet aren't particularly wide or you don't have bunions, BUY these shoes immediately. Let me explain. I already have 2 pairs of Arche Baryky's which I love. Arche seems to have different kinds of leather or at least different thicknesses of it, even within its collection of one style of shoe. So one of my old pairs is a very thin leather. It stretched and it also scuffed, as some people have said. But I still love it and get compliments often despite the scuffs. It's a deep red. The other is red suede or nubuck---whatever it is--and it's a bit thicker and tighter, taking time to fit comfortably. It's nice to run around in these shoes because they grip well. SO, the pair that I'm returning today is made of a thicker leather. That's ideal. But not for me with wide toes and bunions. This kind of Arche leather never stretches. I have experience with a different style of Arche boots (bought directly from the Arche French website). Wonderful boots on sale, but even a shoemaker couldn't stretch them to fit me. I know it'll be the same with these great Baryky shoes, so with regret, I've got to send them back. By the way, only buy Baryky's with the black soles. The other type of soles are less supportive.

Unfortunately, I had to return item. The item I received, was a prior return and was not clean, did not even try them on, because you can see the persons prior foot print in the shoe. I was very disappointed, however, they did look comfortable.

I usually wear a 6.5-7 size shoe. The 37 was too small. The 38 was too big. Toe box was a bit narrow for me. The 38 was very comfortable while standing. They were too big for walking. Had to return.

Beautiful shoe, but better if you have a high arch. It was gapping on me at the top. The leather was so soft that it fit fine in the width, but my foot was hanging over the sole on the sides by a little bit. Too bad it didn't fit.

I've worn Arche shoes for 10 years; 4 pair and still look new and incredibly comfortable. These boots have the worst zipper. I finally got them zipped with a lot of stuggle and had to use pliers to get them unzipped. For the very high price, I am extremely disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone who doesn't have strong fingers! Also, no arche support, very uncomfortable.

These are the cutest darn little boots! I bought the black with red trim and red heel. There is no stitching or seams on the toebox of the shoe so I was comfortable on a walking tour the first time I wore them. Arche is known for comfort and, even though they are pricey, I love every pair I own and especially appreciate their stylishness. The leather is very soft and pliable. I was able to wear a thin pair of anklet socks and the leather has enough give to accommodate them. The sole is flexible and has plenty of cushion. They have a short zipper at the heel of the boot and you have to catch the correct angle to get them to zip up easily. Not a problem, just mentioning it. As for size, I wear a 6 and have always found that the European 36 (not a 37) is the equivalent to a 6. I just love these booties. I try to wear a legging so that the red ankle trim can show. Lots of compliments.

just a word to those ordering by size chart. Have made few mistakes using EU size charts in the past. Finally learned that if you wear a size 7 order EU 37 not 38. If you order 38 the shoe will be a 7.5 and too loose. Hope this helps someone when ordering. By the way, awesome shoe, pleasantly surprised at quality and comfort.

These are a huge disappointment. Arche is all about comfort, and these boots have a number of manufacturing flaws that make them unbearable to wear. There are five seams at the top edge of the boot—one on each side of each of the two zippers and a seam in the back. Three of the five are made with some kind of scratchy sharp “thread” that feels like a fishing line scraping my skin immediately upon putting these on my feet. The other two—the fronts of the zippers—are flaps covering the zippers and have square corners that are irritating on the foot. I want to love these shoes because they are beautiful, and they are padded, and if they didn’t have these irrritations they would be perfect. Considering putting some moleskin over the seams to see if that makes the difference, but at Arche prices, this shouldn’t be a problem. Maybe with socks they would be okay, but I would be wanting to wear them with dresses and tights, and I think these seams would tear through tights in a matter of minutes.

My third pair of Arche Laius. This pair is my first in suede and it felt small and narrow even though it’s the same size as my others. Unlike the other pairs these needed a few days of wear to stretch and now they fit fine.

These boots are extremely comfortable, and stylish too! They manage to make my size 10 feet look good as well as feel good. I can wear them all day; with skirts or jeans. This is my second pair of Arche suede boots. I bought a pair 4 years ago, and after many weeks worn in rain and snow, they still look as good as the day I bought them. Arche quality is incredible.

Love these booties. 2nd pair. The nubuck color looks tan, but it’s actually taupe. I liked it and will keep them. These are amazing boots. Most comfortable shoe I ever owned. I have had my other pair For two years. I look forward to many more years of wear on them. Some folks have said the don’t hold up well. Not so In my experience.

I have just one pair of this brand, which is a pair of pumps. I usually don't purchase this expensive a shoe but the dressy pumps are really comfortable, so I thought I would splurge on something for every day. The toe part of this sandal would have cut into the inner place between my toes. Other than that, the leather was delightfully buttery and the sole a dream of comfort. I'm also not such a fan of criss-cross styles and this one is particularly clunky, in my opinion. So these weren't a keeper but I hope to find another pair of Arche worth the price soon.
