Amrapur Overseas started in California in 1983 by father and son duo, Harry and Chandru “Kevin” Wadhwani. Initially, they began as a supplier of institutional and hospitality linens and later expanded into retail home fashion textiles and décor items.
Amrapur’s roots date back to 1960 when Harry started in Hong Kong as Lachmi’s International Limited. Today Lachmi’s is amongst Hong Kong’s leading trading company, actively manufacturing fashion apparel, home textiles and decor, while at the same time, sourcing various items for its customers.
They have an experienced design team in California and constantly trend research in the main design destinations hubs for the latest colors and trends. They work very closely with their retail partners, whether it is product development, or implementing their ideas into designs. They work well with their customers’ requirements and private label programs.
