The fit on these is good and they are very adjustable so you can wear them with very thick winter socks or with normal socks. I have done a lot of walking and they seem to have good grip and are comfortable. They are a little cluncky, but if you're not looking for "sleek" they are very useful for moderate snow and wet surfaces.

I bought these for some light hiking in Europe. I normally wear a 8.5, but after breaking my foot months ago, I seem to be more comfortable in a 9. I needed a wide enough boot for my slightly larger foot, good arch support for my plantar fascia that gives me some trouble after wearing a boot for 11 weeks, ankle support as I'm still in PT for my ankle/foot injury, and traction so that I don't re-injure myself. These were wide enough in the toe box for my feet, which is unusual. I still was a bit hesitant to keep these after trying them on because I felt like my left heel moved around too much in the shoe. My previously-injured right foot did not slip in the heel. I opted to risk it and keep them. I'm so glad I did! I walked around 1-2 days in them to break them in before my trip, but I think I would have been fine without doing that. I hiked miles and miles in these shoes. They were so very comfortable. I never had any foot pain in them. I did not slip, and parts of the trail were slick rocks. I never noticed my heel slipping during the hike, and I had no blisters. The ankle support these boots offered saved me from a lot of pain, and the traction was phenomenal. I can attest to their waterproofness as I had to wade across a stream (the one pictured, but I don't have a picture of me crossing it in the boots). They were certainly watertight, and my feet stayed dry. I highly recommend these to anyone and everyone. Spending some money on good hiking shoes is cheaper than a trip to the doctor. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Not worn them in the rain, but so far, so good. I normally wear an 11 in Nike, so I ordered 1/2 size smaller (10.5) because the laces are pull strap, which I wanted to stay away from heel slippage. Glad I ordered smaller; toes fit and heel doesn’t slip at all. Well constructed shoe and looks great; rugged boot-like traction. Looking forward to wearing them in water and snow. I’ll update if performance is bad, but I’m expecting it to be same high quality, like the shoe.

This is a cute, light-weight hiking boot but it runs a half size too large. I wear an 8.5/39 in regular womens shoes and I would need an 8 in these.

I followed the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size down from my usual sneaker size. It fit perfectly. Also, some reviewers mentioned squeaking on wood or tile floors. I experienced that for the first 10 minutes of wear and then the squeaks were gone. Very light weight sneaker with good arch support and comfort.

The shoe has held up good. I'm on my feet a lot at work and they're comfortable as well. Don't expect them to be waterproof. It's the 1st snow of the year and they leak thru the toe area. Disappointed about that.

Even though these fit good, I found them uncomfortable. No cushioning caused my feet to hurt. Guess I wasn't thinking when I read the description and thought walking would be comfortable. The design was very cute and I wish I could have worn them I will be returning them and hope you have something that will work for me. I am 84 y.o. and walking is hard so I need comfort.

I am now on my 5th pair of these - the first 4 were all the first generation Climacool Boat Shoe, the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Those Climacool Boat Shoes were a bit different than this Terrex CC Boat Shoe. The Terrex has a semi-rigid tongue, stronger fabric at the heel, and a more durable sole. Essentially the same shoe, with all the air flow and drip dry properties of the originals, but stronger. One small issue - the Terrex definitely feels narrower across the balls of my feet, where the laces loop through the reinforced straps you can see. I am hoping they will stretch over time, despite being reinforced at that spot. I have normal width feet, so just be aware that these may require a bit more stretching than usual.

I bought these shoes as an all-terrain option for walking all over the city in all sorts of weather. The great: This shoe is narrow. I have narrow long feet and the size 12 fit like a dream. The good: Style and fit were great. The problem: World's squeakiest soles. If you walk on anything but carpet (re: hardwood / tile) the noise is a problem. Can't wear them to work. If noise isn't an issue, you're going to love these.

LOVE THESE. I have 4 pairs in different colors. STYLE: The White and Blue are rad. FIT: TRUE to size. I wear 11 to 11.5's consistently and have a medium foot and the size 11 D width fit perfectly -- not too narrow. If you actually trail run in them the forefoot has room for your foot to expand. BUILD: Lightweight for a trail shoe. TREAD: Grippy for off-road and will stick when things are wet. CUSHION: Medium. If you want a lot of cushion look elsewhere. *Note* The white ones are un-dyed, and they creak a little when you walk which the other colors don't. But they look awesome.

I ordered these shoes for my wife to wear on an upcoming trip. I received the wrong shoes. They were the regular Terrex and not the GTX model. I sent them back along with another pair and was charged a $25 dollar return fee on each pair. I emailed Zappos to expain the situation and the fact that I was billed for the return. I received a response apologizing but stating that I had to call the help-line to rectify the situation. Zappos may have rectified this for me, however, for $50 I didn't feel like waiting on hold to explain once again the situation that could have been resolved in the initial email. I have had good luck in the past and have not been charged for returns. In addition, I want to make clear that the rating does not relate to the shoe itself...just the handling of the order described above.
