Sadly, as other reviewers have said, the toe box on this shoe is cut really small and/or strangely so that the shoe crushes the top of your toes. The flower pattern is so cute I ordered them despite the reviews hoping they were wrong, but no luck. The length of the shoe fits great and they don't feel narrow at all, and I got my usual 7.5. However, the crushing of the tops of your toes/toenail makes the shoes non-functional if you hope to wear them longer than an hour. It feels like the type of shoe that would cause your toenails to turn black and fall off after wearing them for a full day or trail walking. What a weird design. Too bad, the pattern is really pretty but they have to go back if they can't be worn since they are, after all ... shoes!
Love love the color and style, I got them and I wear an 8.5, but bought a 9w and they were so tight!!!! Almost like wearing an 8 narrow. The arch was placed in a very uncomfortable location... they heart my feet just by trying them on. I don't know if these were rejects but for the price they should feet like gloves. I returned them but sad cause I love love the color and they did feel like a good support.
1) I'm about a 200 lb guy (even though this review might show it is under my wife's amazon account) so cushion in a shoe is very important. I do 3 to 5 mile runs 4-5 nights a week. 2) I try not to spend more than $100 on running shoes. A while back, I bought the Kayano 22 on clearance for about $100. I LOVE them. The cushioning was perfect for a heavier runner like me. I liked them so much that when it was time to replace them, I paid the full price for the Kayano 24. I wasted $150. They clearly changed directions and focused on weight instead of cushion. This model feels like running on cardboard. I'm not going for hyperbole here - there literally is no cushion in these. I run at night on the treadmill. During my first run they felt hard but I just hoped they needed to be broken in. The morning after my first run, my feet hurt. It got worse after my next two 5 mile runs. Finally tonight, a quarter mile into my run my feet were hurting so bad I had to stop, throw them in the closet and put my old model 22's on. I will say, when I put my model 22 on, I could definitely tell they are heavier than the model 24, but my god, the model 24 simply has no cushioning whatsoever. I can't figure for the life of me what you are paying $150 for with these. If you want lightweight shoes that hurt your feet, go for these. If you are looking for a comfortable shoe, I'd look somewhere else.
Love Asics but the Nimbus 19 runs VERY small for my big feet.
I normally wear an 8SS or 8.5SS in regular shoes. With Asics I always have to go with a 9N. However, the pair received when I place both shoes heel to heel together the left one is at least a half, maybe a whole size longer than the right one even though both shoes are marked 9N. Even the right one seems wider than previous Asics. I wish they would get a handle on their products and refine some of these problems. It's to the point where I can't find any sneakers that fit!
