Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)
I have had several Merrell boots. I rate this one a 5 in fit and feel but a 3 in the lacing functionality. The laces are very thin - likely to go through the "mid" loops towards the sides of the boot. I feel these are a definite weak point over time - they have been in previous Merrill's with loops that weren't as aggressively placed and had thicker laces. The combination of the thin laces and they way they lace I find awkward. Untying the double loop takes a lot of picking with my fingernails. It is also a little harder to get a tight fit what the top of the shoe. Again - I do like how they feel on my feet - snug and comfy with a medium sole that works well.
