I purchased these Keen hiking shoes for my grandson, who goes on daily, all-terrain walks with his parents. I love to get pictures of him wearing them and safely scampering up paths in both wet and dry conditions. This is an investment that is worth it given their lifestyle, but otherwise might be too expensive to purchase for kids who don’t get outside as much.

This shoe is sturdy, great for my child in the Pacific NW where he's outside often. Unfortunately I think they're too sturdy (firm/ hard). My son's ankles are bruised on the sides from the top of the shoe.
