Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)
I purchased through REI because Zappos did not carry my size. All La Sportiva shoes tend to run a half to full size smaller than I normally would wear in other brands which is usually a 12.5 so I sized up to U.S. size 13 (Euro 47) and the fit was great. The shoe is very light, very well built, exceptionally cushioned for this brand and has the La Sportiva’s phenomenal sticky lug soles that work THE BEST and actually survive on the insanely torturous Arizona trails I run. The only negative I can find, and it’s just barely noticeable at times but may be very noticeable for others, the shoe has borderline too high collar at the opening and could/would definitely be a friction/pressure point around the ankle joint (lateral malleolus). A few YouTube running shoe reviewers point this out, so apparently it is a thing to be concerned with. With exception to that one negative, the shoe works very well for me in the terrain I run

Really like the shoe but they run a little narrow. I have an average to wide foot and these shoes are a little tight. They offer great protection on rockier trails and the all black look great.
