Feels great!

I originally saw these on the Zappos home page with a tag line like 'summer's here' or 'comfortable sandals'. I usually like slightly higher end i/e leather Tevas but wanted something a little more polished looking for work, yet still comfortable. These resonated in my mind for a couple of days after seeing them, but by the time I went to Zappos to order them, they were sold out in both 7.5 and 8. I'd never had a pair of Steve Madden shoes before so wasn't sure what size I'd be. I normally wear an 8 in sandals. I figured that if they were sold out, they must be pretty good. I live in Brooklyn so it was easy for me to go to the Steve Madden boutique in SoHo (although I would have preferred just ordering them from Zappos). The 8 was perfect. I didn't have to size down. I concur with other reviewers assessment that they don't have much support but being that they have the wide ankle strap, you feel 'held in' if that makes any sense. I was worried about the strap across the base of the toes, as I have a bit of a bunion on my left side, but they've been conforming to the shape of my foot nicely. A little stiff during first wearing, but no issues at all. These are very cute and a good price. I say thumb's up!
