Cute shoes. Half size larger fit recipient best for wide feet. She really likes them.

Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)

Great looking, but a little bulky and runs slightly large

I was originally confused by the reviews for these shoes, because some described them as narrow and some as wide. Now that I've tried them, I get it. I have narrow feet with extremely narrow heels (AAA). The front of half these shoes run narrow and fit me exactly, so someone with wider feet would probably struggle to wear them. However, the back half of the shoe seems wide and my heel lifted completely out of the shoe with every step I took. I tried socks and heel grips to make them stay on, but it was no use — the weight of the platform combined with my narrow heel made it impossible to keep the shoes on. If you have narrow feet but not super narrow heels, then these might work, but anyone with a foot like mine or a wider foot in general will probably have issues. On the plus side, the shoes are super cute, go with everything, are relatively lightweight for a platform, and added a nice amount of height. I got the white eyelet ones and they give kind of a 90s vibe, like something you might have seen in the DELIA*S catalog in 1996. I really wanted to keep them, but I just couldn't find a way to make them work. Fortunately, Zappos has great shipping and return policies, so at least you can try them risk free.

This shoe was too tight around the toes and felt smaller than most of my other shoes.
