I bought these because my job required steel toe boots. They are very sturdy and last a really long time. My job required lots of walking and these boots never hurt my feet. The waterproofing is decent. The padding ankles are a godsend. The steel toe means that they are less comfortable for walking than a non-steel toe, but if you need that feature, these are good boots.
I'm almost always an 11 or a 10.5 EE and these are rather narrow and long. I sized down a half size (based on reviews) and I needed to size down a whole size. The leather is pretty blah on these. for $140 shoes I expected some sort of natural looking leather. Whatever finishing process these boots used looks very faux. It's the same look and feel as pleather. I believe they are probably real leather, but they just don't look it.
So far so good. Had the boots about 2 weeks. I bought them to last and they feel pretty solid. Took about 8 hours of wear before they started to break in and since then have been much more comfortable. Hoping they last. Don't see any issues with construction at this time thought several reviews mentioned having issues a few months into ownership. Will try to update if I run into anything. Very pleased so far.
Like these a lot. A little stiff at first, but breaks in quickly and ends up being pretty comfortable.
I knew from the reviews that this ran small but went ahead and purchased it anyways. My feet went into the shoe fine with the zipper but it is snug, snug. With the shoe being all leather I asked people what they thought about purchasing this shoe/boot and they all said to stick with it and break it in that the leather would conform to my foot. I wore it outside of the house for six or so hours yesterday and yes I was glad to give my feet a rest but I had no blisters and can't wait for the shoe/boots to fit my foot. I think it will be a favorite shoe/boot in time but it has been a while since I've owned all leather shoes. I had forgotten how much time it takes to break them in. Love the looks of this boot!
Been a long time wolverine fan, these are good but fit tighter than expected. I have a narrow foot and these were close. Returned the original 10.5, got the 11 now very comfortable.
A bit on the expensive side but well worth it. These boots are sturdy and water resistant. These boots are stiff so you'll have to wear them in.
I really like these booties. Perfect to wear as an everyday shoe. I like how they gently hug my foot. I don't like when my foot slides around in a shoe. They did rub on the top of my toes a little (no blister or anything) but I don't wear socks and I was used to wearing my Nike slides all summer so it took a bit of getting used to. Otherwise I wore them all day doing errands. I tried the Frey billy shootie (too firm- didn't feel I could wear them daily for casual use) and the Durango booties (too floppy and loose).
This is a great looking boot. Low profile, sturdy, and goes with anything be it jeans or dresses. The only problem I'm having now as I wear them is that they are slightly narrower than I like and there is absolutely no arch support. The soles are stiff as is the leather (expect a few marks on the back of your ankles). For reference I wear a 6.5 and sized down by half, ordering a 6. Overall, I'm still contemplating whether to keep these or just grin and bear it...cuz it's a nice looking boot after all!
