I loved the look of these on my husband but they were too big, he says about a half size. He has worn out his Simple shoes in this style and I can't find any more of them but these are like those but a bit more stylish!
I really wanted this boot to work for me. It's lightweight, flexible, and supportive. But it just isn't wide enough. I think an E or EE would have worked, but those don't exist in women's hiking boots. Also, I had to add a heel insert under the insole to lift my heel so that the ankle support would fit properly and not rub against the bone, but I am short and that's a trick I frequently need to use with any shoe that comes up high around the ankle. I'm very sad to send these back.

Great shoes! Ive bought these to replace a similarly styled shoe that wore a hole in the bottom after a year. I can tell these will last a few years if not more. They are quite comfortable and I wear them to work almost everyday. They are 1/2size big for a 12 but they actually wear fine that way. I'm glad the shoe laces stay tied. Overall great casual shoe, environmentally friendly, and look good with jeans.
Nice style. I usually wear 7.5 but I ordered size 7 and it worked out fine for me, so you may want to take note of the sizing. Big thanks to Zappos for being the official standard in customer service again!
Uncomfortable shoe. The sole and tread is not thick enough. The brown leather cracks and looses colors when walked in.

I bought these based on all the reviews saying how incredibly comfortable these boots are right out of the box. They were certainly better than most right out of the box, but after having them for a few months I can honestly say they are my absolute favorites. Super comfortable and durable. I often find myself reaching for them instead of sneakers if I need to run to the store - they are that comfortable.

Right out of the box, these shoes felt comfortable and needed no break-in period. They did have a "leathery" just-bought smell to them for a bit. Nice protection for your toes while providing great ventilation for your feet. I like sandals in the hot Texas Summers, but I don't like to expose my toes, it's a long painful story. Suffice it to say, that these provide nearly the same amount cooling as my old sandals did, without the threat to my big toes. Like the build quality, the feel, and the styling of these shoes.
So cute! I never have written a review but felt these deserved it as I have a wide foot and therefore sandals can be a nightmare to find a nice and elegant one that will stand up and these fit the bill. Elegant, comfortable and fit a wide foot as ALWAYS Zappos is the BEST with service and speedy delivery, thank you.
I usually wear a 9.5-10 US. These are way too large. I should've ordered a 9 or even a 8.5. Already wore them for a day so I cannot return them.

Lovely comfy sandal, however, it was just not quite wide enough. I wear a wide, but these were a bit too tight to purchase. Returning them and wishing I didn't have to.
Way legit. These are like a new version boat shoe with canvas top. Very chill and have a nice island feel to them. They are very small order 1/2 size larger. Stylin'.
These are comfortable and look nice with the "cork" heel. I have a wide foot so I liked the fact they came in a wider size. Note they are more a orangy red versus true red. Cute shoe.
Had to return this shoe because it was too wide in the toe box area. This is usually a good thing for me since I have bunions. But, the sandals were hard to walk in with my foot sliding around so much. I tried lots of different sizes and widths. Too bad. It's a cute shoe with a reasonable heel. Good quality too.
I can't find a way to update my previous review so I'll write another. I returned the first pair - felt too big. The next smaller size was out of stock but I asked Zappos to notify me when they had stock - 2 days later I was able to reorder. :) Very comfortable, stylish shoes. A shoe 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear fits perfect.

I generally wear size 8.5M in flats and sneakers. With heels and fitted shoes, I can get away with an 8. With that in mind, I ordered size 8. My feet are not "narrow" in width, but I would say they are slender. A reviewer commented that the toe strap runs wide...umm, are we talking about the same shoe? Perhaps a half size smaller may not have felt wide to them, but I can't say. Now the the ankle straps are another story - too much room for these dainty ankles! They are really nice looking sandals though, a lovely burnt orange color. I need to sleep on it. There was a little dark spot of glue on the edge of the toe strap which is probably going to bug me. Timberland looks like they strive to be a very conscientious company and value sustainable practices, yea!

This is a very comfortable shoe with extremely good traction. It comes with a seoerate set of solid color laces for those that don't like the orange in their laces. The only bad thing is that some of the sole is starting to wear after just 1 month and it looks like they will wear out faster than regular timberland shoes.

These are my husband's 3rd pair of Timberland boots. He also has the traditional buff boot and another pair of Earthkeepers (the Rugged 6-Inch Waterproof Moc Toe Boot). He found these to fit slightly looser than his others, even though he got the same size -- perhaps because there is not the waterproofing or insulation. Luckily they lace up tightly. They look great, the leather is soft and the laces are a cool contrast. Great shoe for spring. I also think it's cool that we happen to live in the renovated Newmarket Mill building that used to be Timberland's HQ -- the shoes seem right at home.

The Timberland® story began in 1952 when Nathan Swartz bought part of the Abington Shoe Company. He learned how to make shoes and began to work on ways to make them better. In 1965, the Swartz family made history by introducing injection molding to the footwear industry; creating the first, truly waterproof Timberland leather shoe.
