Gorgeous shoe. A little hard to get on but I'm sure the leather will stretch and adjust the more I wear them. The leather and color are perfection.
These are SUPER cute shoes. After reading all the reviews on the width, I ordered a WIDE. I have very wide feet due to surgery on one foot and arthritis on the other, and swelling in both. Thank goodness I did! They looked super small when I opened the box, and the wide width is probably equal to a normal shoe width (B). I don't think I'll be able to wear thick socks with these, however. I usually only wear thin trouser socks in winter anyway. So be warned...the other reviews are spot on as for the width. I can only imagine that the regular B width is extremely narrow.
I had high hopes for this beautiful boot. I wear a size 8 1/2 ALWAYS. I cannot tell you how comfortable or how well it fit because I could not get the things on! The opening, even with the zipper down was impossible to get on my foot. Sent them back. Would have loved to keep them. I had to fill out the Size, Width and Support options just so I could submit this survey. I really couldn't tell you how they fit or how they felt, etc. But I couldn't send this survey without the options filled in. B Nelson Charlottesville, Va
Comfortable, well-made boots with really nice leather. They're probably best for low volume feet, which worked out just fine for me. Unfortunately had to return these because they were just the wrong height and looked awkward on me, but I would have kept them otherwise.
This boot looked and felt great on my foot... which made it a real shame when I tried to walk and the rock-hard folded leather at the back of the ankle rubbed insistently. I could tell that after walking for five minutes the back of my ankles would be rubbed raw! So disappointing because it's rough finding a good fit and these were perfect!
I'd long ago given up on being able to wear Timberland boots - they were way way waaaay too narrow for my wide feet w/ a bunion. But I saw these came in a W so I figured I'd give it a try. It's Zappo's after all and I can return them if they don't work out. I typically wear a 7-7.5W or 6.5-7WW I ordered the 7W in these to see how they would fit. I tried them on with thicker socks since these are for winter and the width is ok, not great but I know the leather will stretch. The toe box, however, is a little bit tight with thicker socks. Normal socks, it's ok. I'm debating on if I should return these for the 7.5W. The are very cute for winter boots and the lace up style is great if you have wider calves.
these were really small. usually wear a 7...and the 7.5 was still too small. seeing if an 8 or 8.5 work. these are also SUPER narrow! but very cute and super comfy sole.
Loved the Wheat Forty Leather color of this boot and the quality is what I expected at this price point. I ordered a 8W since I normally wear a 7.5-8W in other shoes. As other reviewers mentioned, a Wide in this brand is not a typical Wide. It felt more like a Medium width from other brands. With a thick sock this would have been too narrow for me. The height of these boots was perfect, hitting me just at the knee (I'm 5'4"). The only reason I'm returning them is because the calf opening is too large. I was very surprised by this as I have pretty muscular calves and have gone to extended calf boots in other brands.
First, these boot look great. I have only been able to wear them a few times though since they are quite warm, and the weather hasn't really turned just yet. They are a bit narrow down by the ball of your foot. It is more evident during a long walk as your feet get hot and swell a little. Getting them on is also a chore. They are water proof, so the tongue is attached rather high up, and does not leave a lot of room to actually get your foot in them. I am going to need to invest in a shoe horn. They are a tough leather, but will hopefully these areas will stretch out a little bit as time goes on. For this reason, you should also not expect Earthkeepers type comfort out of these, but they do seem way more durable, especially in the sole. I wear a size 16 in almost all sneakers. I would probably call myself a 15.5 in sneakers if such a thing existed, and I got these in a 15. There is still plenty of room from my toe to the end of the boot, so they run a little large there.
I like the style, and I was hoping this would be my everyday boots, but it was so narrow, and my feet are pretty thin.
