Boot not as warm as I hoped and though they felt like the right size while walking around in my house, they are too small to keep your feet warm. Unfortunately, I had to wear them outside to figure that out, so now stuck with them. They are great quality, just too small. They are very stiff on the top, but feels like it keeps your ankle secure.

Boot has great style and I like the look, but the fit is miserable! I have very narrow (width) thin (from arch to instep) tiny feet and there was no room in this boot, perhaps only 3/4 of an inch of room from the arch of my foot to where the boot cuts across my instep. I couldn't even lace them up, and can't imagine anyone with a more delicate, fine-boned foot than mine. Sorry, but The North Face will need to go back to the drawing board on this boot.

There is so much ankle support in this boot, I loved it the moment I put it on. Great construction, even has a ridge on the back of the heel perfect for snowshoeing. I'd tried on some Baffins and didn't like how wobbly my ankles felt, but this boot blew me away. This is the heavy-duty, warm, supportive winter boot you've been looking for!

These boots are the best winter boots I have ever purchased! They have great traction and super warm. They go up high enough to keep your legs warms but are still able to slip on and off. Love these boots!

At first sight, I thought...oh, color doesn't look the same shade of brown. Then I put on and, oh my, these are heavy and stiff. I bought a half size larger, they just fit. Hey, they don't hurt either, let's just give them a chance, so I wore them inside for 2 days. They are not tennis shoes, loafers, or slippers, these are some tough boots. I am a 61 year old, scared of ice and I think I trust these shoes and so I am keeping them. If you are going to wear real heavy socks, get one size larger, but normally unless you have a wide foot I would go with 1/2 size. I wore them outside. Okay, so it was 46 degrees, but they gave me no problem walking around in them.

These boots are great! Warmest boot I have ever worn and were great to snowshoe with. Had to exchange for 1 size up.
