My daughter also bought a pair of these boots and within 3 months one of the soles cracked. We took them back to the store and they informed us that it was a common problem and many customers took them back, they gave us an exchange set of boots. A few months later passed and the same thing happened to the new set. My daughter called them and the store said that if it was over 3 months they would not have a record and so we would be SOL. I told my daughter to e-mail Steve Madden and they replied to take it to the store. I took them to the store and the store manager said that she would contact her district manager. The store manager called us and told us to bring them back. We took them back and they said it would be the last exchange. The boots are very nice but they scuff easy and because the soles crack across easy (a common defect in workmanship) I will rate them low.

These are the best boots. Initially I bought them so I could stop wearing flats all the time, and then they turned into my everyday shoes. I've taken them hiking through mud and boulders, camping in the middle of nowhere and walking around in New York City. So versatile, sturdy, and just as awesome looking with skinny jeans tucked in to them as they look with stockings and a dress. As soon as these boots have a problem (which will probably be a while because they're holding up great and I've had them for almost 5 months now), I'm buying another pair. These are my go-to boots, and it's a plus they're so affordable. Definitely worth your money. If you take care of them after you beat them up a bit (clean 'em, shine 'em) they'll last you a long time no matter what you do in them.

These shoes are just amazing. I have them in the Cognac color, and I love the color so much because it looks vintage and worn out. They keep my feet warm, and they're quite comfortable. The heel gives off a little extra height, but not to the point where you struggle to walk. If you are the slightest bit interested in these, you should buy them!

I absolutely love these boots BUT after only the third time wearing them the heel started to peel off. I couldn't bring myself to part with them so I crazy glued them back together and they have been fine ever since.

Definitely a 'must have' boot. Bought the cognac which is a beautiful brown. My feet still felt great at the end of the day and I work in retail.

I bought these boots for my 13 year old daughter and she absolutely loved them. They fit true to size and wear in nicely after a bit. She wears them unlaced on top with pants or skirts. Very cute and she wears them often. Quick delivery! Thanks Zappos!

Just received these in the mail. I have to return them and try again because the 7.5 (which is my shoe size, has been forever) was hilariously too small. In addition to running small they must run narrow too because my feet on the wider side. Just wish I could have some warning that they are sized differently than any other shoe I've purchased from Zappos. And now I'm having doubts because all these reviewers said they'll fall apart. I bought and went through 2 pairs of crappy Payless boots both of which had the heel rip off the boot - I am going to be so frustrated if this more expensive pair fares the same. For now though I'm exchanging - a warning though - go up a full size! I am getting an 8.5 and have rarely ever fit an 8.

These boots are amazing! I have them in natural leather (the white-ish one) and have worn them twice so far. They are so comfortable, although are a little roomy in the toe, which is fine because if I ordered a half size down they would be snug. Anyways, I have gotten so many compliments! I like to wear them over skinny jeans, or they can even go with a skirt/dress! When it's warmer, I plan to wear them with shorts. They are so versatile. Plus, because of the wide flap, you can tie the shoelace further down and kind of slouch the flap forward. Anyways, I love these shoes.

These boots are awesome -- I wear them close to everyday (rain, mud), and they are super comfortable and look great with jeans or with tights. I wear an 11 and after a couple of wears they fit perfectly.

I just got these a month ago and I love them. They are super versatile and look great with dresses and skirts or pants. Other reviewers have mentioned these shoes wear out quickly but since I only just got them I can't speak to that yet.

I absolutely love these boots! I bought my first pair at Lenox Mall from the Madden Store. I initially bought them because I wanted a fashoinable alternative to heels,platforms and wedges. But since having them Ive worn them every single day! They are extremely comfortable and exceptionally trendy! I don't have to compromise my fashionista wardrobe!

I love these boots! I got them for Christmas and have worn them almost every day since then. They are so trendy and can be worn with just about anything. They look adorable with tall socks tucked into skinny jeans or corduroys. They felt a little tight at first, but once I wore them a few times they loosened up. Overall, they were totally worth it and I can't wait to wear them even more!
