The toe throws the whole shoe off balance looks wise. It's a cute shoe, but as another reviewer said, The toe of the shoe is narrower and turns up quite a bit, so it looks like an elf shoe. I thought maybe she was just being too pickey, however after receiving the shoe I do agree. I tried to like it because the idea is cute, but for the money I'm not going to force myself to like an elf shoe. I've seen better executions of this exact style for much cheaper and the bonus, no elf toe. So look at the picture carefully and note the toe before you order.

I tried these in the black in my normal size 10B. While they were comfortable for a heel, there was not much 'give' in the suede (or fake suede?) and the shoes appeared like they would not soften up with time. Also, while the sole was flexible, it was a little too rigid for my taste- this is supposed to be a take on an athletic shoe- my foot felt straight jacketed to the shoe. Also, there could be more padding in the insole. You can add one, and I did put in a Dr. Scholl to walk around the house in. The padded tongue sticking out was also mildly annoying. They could be a lot more uncomfortable- I almost kept them, but I need to be able to walk a long way in the shoes I am looking for now- for a vacation. I sure I will find that pair at Zappos in the near future.
I'd also recommend: Nike Dunk Sky Hi

These shoes are very comfortable! I've seen a lot of people wearing this style and wasn't sure about them, but after putting them on they have become my new favorites. They go with everything.

I received these shoes a week ago and I love them! I have the black ones and I wear them with jeggings and shorts but they look especially nice with cropped jeans. Style wise, these are definitely head-turners. Even men have told me the shoe is sexy. The toe is not an issue with me, it's all about how you rock the shoe. Personally, I leave the top strap undone and that gives it an edgier look. I'm purchasing the grey ones today!

I got them in the grey/suede combination size 8 and I wear them every day. They look good with everything - bootcut, flair, skirts, yoga pants, skinny jeans - you name it (though as the other reviewer said the trendiness of the shoe and height addition combination lead to all eyes on you especially in rural areas but I am only 5'4" on my stretchier days so I appreciate any comfortable, hidden heel) - I usually go with an 8½ preferring thicker socks but these seem to run half a size to big as an 8 was perfect for me. As another reviewer stated the toe does turn up slightly. I like aesthetically what this provides to the shoe and frankly my big toe does that naturally which leads to a propensity for me to get up on my tip toes. Once I broke these sneakers in a little, as they arrived stiff, they literally feel like natural extensions of my feet. I am always looking for shoes that make my feet look smaller, and if you do the same these provide that illusion of smaller size feet. I also tried on multiple sizes/colors of the Ash wedge sneaker and it just looked awful from the side (and way less comfortable, like walking on a wooden block) for the money in a size 9 and a size 8 though cuter were far narrower in the toe bed. I highly prefer these Madden wedge sneakers in comfort and style. There does seem to be a high arch to the shoe as after a few days of wearing these straight I recognized a faint strain in my high arched feet but its a super rare occurrence (good support). I got and returned these in gold and think they look like moon shoes. No comparison to the grey/suede combination except in general style. I think the color variation just adds more to the shoes, though. I do plan on getting the black leather. I adore these shoes and need a pair that I can wear daily as I already spilled coffee on the suede. As much as I do not want to be that girl with the same expensive shoes in multiple color variations, I adore these for practical and style reasons that far out weigh social conventions.
