These feel great to put on just before you brave a cold, snowy day. A nicely supportive, snug but not tight inside with a tough, weather stopping outside. They\'re also very light for a winter boot. I\'m very happy with them and hope to get many years of use out of them if winters actually continue to come to Philadelphia.

Good boot. The size that was comfortable for me was 1/2 size less than my sneaker size.\r\n\r\nVery comfy and warm. I thought that the top part kind of rubbed my shins a bit more than I like. Then again, I\'m not used to boots and these are the most comfortable boots I\'ve tried. Not a bad price too!

My husband wears this boot for work. He is very pleased with the comfort and fit of the boot. The only recommendation he would make to the manufacturer is to have leather shoestrings. We are pleased with Zappos. The quick turn around time in delivery is AWESOME! We would recommend Zappos to our friends.

Sorel Cold Mountain -
This is the second pair of these boots I bought this season. The first pair where Zip ups. The zips I bought primarily for my 5am. -40 dog walks, it is hard enough to get motivated at 5am at -40 without struggling with laces. The zippers didn't survive 60 days; I tossed them in the trash, and bought these, laces and all. They provide better fit, and comfort than the zips, and are just as warm. They are also much better looking. They have been up and down Devils Head Mountain, and across Devils Head Lake, they handle the 5am. -40 daily dog walks in comfort and style, and the speed lacing makes them almost as easy as the zips to get in and out of. Excellent value, great price, second to none customer service ALWAYS at Zappos. Thanks, Joe.

These are some the best boots I have ever owned. I just returned from Furmanov, Russia, where it snowed every day and my feet did not get cold even once. I bought them specifically for this trip and was surprised at how comfortable they were without any break-in time.

A great warm boot -
I originally bought these for a ski trip, but also ended up taking them as my main shoe for a trip to NYC in winter. First, I thought they were very stylish, especially for a snow boot and didn't have a problem wearing them around all day. In the snow, they did their job very well, keeping my feet warm and dry. They were a little bulky and heavy, but that is to be expected if they are to keep your feet warm. I wore them all week walking all over New York City and they were very comfortable and held up great. I recommend these boots.

Difficult to fit -
I bought these boots for my husband who has a very difficult time buying any footwear. They were perfect, almost fit as if they were custom made for his foot.

I bought these on Monday for a weekend snowshoeing trip, since I had no snow boots. I received them early Wednesday, which was nice. The boots themselves were completely waterproof, very warm, and comfortable. I was worried about having to break them in, but my feet were totally fine after 2 full days of mountain hiking in snowshoes. I bought them a 1/2 size bigger, and they fit great with sock liners and ski socks.
I'm sure there are better boots out there for more hardcore performance seekers, but I didn't find anything better anywhere at this price.

Great boot!
I had always bought Columbia boots for cold weather footwear, but I thought I would give the Sorels a try. I wore them for a week solid in the Sierra snow and they worked great. Kept my feet warm and dry. The boots do run a bit large (a bit in length and width.) I have a size 15 1/2 foot and the boot is large for my foot. However, with a thin sock under a wool boot sock the fit was just fine. They pull on easier than the Columbia boots too. I will be buying Sorel's from now on.

Very Warm, Very Waterproof -
We're having a pretty cold and snowy winter in Chicago, and I commute (on foot) a total of about four miles every day, so I really needed some new winter boots. These things are built like a brick, quick to put on and take off, totally waterproof and have kept my feet warm for a long time on even some extreme sub-zero days. All that and they have been totally comfortable from the first day (I did buy them about a half size bigger than what I usually wear, since I use thick socks in winter). I think they are also a bit more attractive than the pictures make them look, though a boot like this is never going to be super fashionable. They look rugged, and they are rugged. I'm very happy with them; Zappos had a good price and shipped them to me quickly. No complaints whatsoever.

Just to take time to write a review for a pair of shoes should be a compliment enough. These boots are great! The warmest I have worn. It is like my feet are bundled up in a sleeping bag...toasty!

Great Winter Boots -
Other than the fact that I had to lace up and tie the boots, I could swear I was walking in my posturepedic slippers. Sure, these were a bit heavier, but these boots are very comfortable, and make you feel like you are walking on air. Handle the cold very well, although I haven't been in anything below 10 degrees yet. I would definitely recommend them.

GREAT shoes. Came in about two days, not too hood of arch support but still surprisingly comfortable. The cut high top offers great ankle support. Overall a great shoe. Comfortable for skating or walking around. Also very stylish (had expresso/black/white).

I ordered my Sorel boots at noon on Thanksgiving Day. I was totally astonished when they arrived at my door the next day at 10 AM. That’s 22 hours from Kentucky to Boston, MA ON A HOLIDAY! I was so happy with my boots and service I ordered a pair of boots for my wife and daughter (9PM) and got them THE NEXT DAY at 2PM. That's 17 hours total. I now tell everyone I know about Zappos.com and their excellent service and return policy, if needed. I am now a loyal customer and sending more your way whenever people I know need boots and more. These boots are a good buy. They do their job well, they will keep your feet dry and warm in the worst of weather conditions.
They do rub a bit though around the ankles, and need to be broken in.

These boots are excellent for the price, great Zappos service, I received these overnight and was able to take them to Vancouver and Whistler. Very warm boot, extremely comfortable, I would say these feel a half size larger, in contrast with some of the Columbia boots these have metal lace holders which make them a lot sturdier and will probably last much longer. The other pair of Sorel's I have have lasted for many years!
Great cold weather boot.
I recently went skiing in Vail. I needed a shoe I could use traveling back and forth to the slopes. The Sorel met all my expectations. I traveled thru powder snow, slush, rain, and heavy thick wet conditions. My feet were always dry, warm, and very comfortable. The only problem I had with these boots, were making a decision about the color.
