This is a great large messenger bag. The velcro is very strong and if you really need to hold things in place you've got the snap clips on each side. My only complaint is that all the pockets are interior, so to get to my phone I have to open the whole bag and risk spilling contents. The lap-top sleeve is great, if you're traveling frequently with a laptop I highly recommend this bag.
Brands I'd also recommend: Sherpani, Haiku

I liked the color and material. It is a light.medium blue, but not overly feminine. It is made with a quality material. And that's all the positive I can say. I got this as a school/laptop bag and it is just not big enough. The laptop fits fine, but you can forget about anything else! The 3 pockets it has are very small, inconveniently placed, no place for a calculator (or phone or keys or gum), nothing of any size fits into the pockets and it wasn't really made to hold pens/pencils conveniently either. No place for a water bottle. I expected more from this bag and it did not deliver. I have had it for a year now, and I am looking for something new to start next semester with. The strap was great and comfortable, but you couldn't put that much in it to really have a load to begin with. Cute bag, but not functional. I am hoping maybe Sherpani or Haiku will have something cute and functional for a school bag. I have had good luck with both of those brands. I think I may retire this as a diaper bag. Seriously.

This is an awesome bag. I use it every day as a gym bag. A way more stylish alternative to a backpack and really comfortable across the body. Lots of compartments for keys, phone, iPod, cycle shoes etc. Definitely recommend!

Be warned the black bag is not actually black, it's gray. At first, I thought I was sent the wrong color bag, but Osprey doesn't offer gray as a color option. I asked my friends just to make sure I hadn't gone crazy, and the consensus is the bag is gray. Reference other gray messenger bags on this site to get a better idea of what to expect color-wise. Though it has a fair amount of pockets, putting anything in one of the pockets makes the other pockets virtually un-useable. The curvature of the bag also makes the compartments an odd shape; they're wider at the top than at the bottom. So, unless you're carrying a bunch of pizza slices or empanadas, it'll be hard to make standard items, like an umbrella or wallet, fit. The main pocket is large enough to accommodate my laptop plus other items, but I use an ultrabook which is only .63" thick. I would imagine a standard sized laptop would occupy a majority of the space in the main compartment. I like to wear my bag on my right shoulder, but that puts the strap adjustment all the way behind me, so I find it annoying that I have to flip the bag completely around to be able to adjust the strap. The bag is definitely stylish, so if you don't have many items to carry, this could work for you.
