This is a very light shoe and durable for your little one. I bought a different brand, size 3, and that shoe was heavy for my baby. I wish I had not wasted my money, babies need light shoes.
Brands I'd also recommend: For babies, the crib shoes are great!

Cutest shoes ever - These mini Cortez are so cute. I was so excited when I received them. My son loves these shoes. When I put them on his tiny feet he just stared at them and did not try to kick them off. They are a little heavy for his feet so I wouldn’t recommend them for pre-walkers. He stands, but when I try to move him so he can try to walk, his feet stay still. So I recommend lighter shoes. *I DO NOT RECOMMEND VANS*, *VANS are soooo cute, but the fall off sooooo quick*.

Cutest thing ever! The weight and size are very good. My baby has rather chubby dorsals and yet it fit perfectly. He is walking now for about two months and he walks very well with this one (he tumbles with some other shoes).

Too cute! My son is very hard on shoes so the fact that this is made of leather is great. Very durable and easy to wipe clean.

I recently purchased these online. Zappos gave me a free upgrade in shipping and the shoes arrived the next day. I love them. They are lightweight and easy for my toddler to walk in. Nikes do run a little small so I recommend going a half size larger if your little one has wide feet. We all do in our house.

We took a long time to select a shoe. This one is the best looking and also provides some arch support. It's also very good for the colder weather. It goes well with any outfit. The shoe's owner seems to really like them and they are also not too heavy.

This will be my son's third pair of Cortez. He learned to walk in them, he learned to run in them, and now that he is two he does everything in them. They are light, durable, comfortable, easily cleanable, and most of all adorable. What little boy does not like the mini version of what his daddy wears?!

This shoe made me switch to another brand! The fabric is too hard, the laces are short, and bottom line the shoe is not flexible at all. Definitely not for a toddler/kid.
