Mezlan Reviews
Excellent quality, comfortable, attractive shoe. Runs a bit large so order a half size smaller than what you would usually order.
Im a big fan of Mezlans. This is a very stylish shoe. My only complaint is that the shoe runs a half-size to a full size larger.
What a stunning shoe. My biggest regret is that about a month after I bought these, I put an enormous gouge into them because my daughter was about to jump into a busy parking lot, and in my feeble attempt to dissuade her from her lapse in judgment, I didn't notice a huge jagged edge of tree stump. I walked into/tripped over it, and in the tripping, I put a huge slice into the right insole, and in the right toe. Ugh. Other than my own clumsiness, this is a great shoe. Not the most comfortable, a little harder step, but wow. I love these. The leather wears nicely, and the perforation detail is quite nice. It's a very narrow shoe, and accordingly works best with a narrow trouser leg -- a wide or traditional width trouser will eat this little shoe. Gorgeous cognac color -- medium brown polish works best, and these polish up nicely. My favorite partner for a slim cut suit.
Very good looking shoe, but certainly takes some breaking-in. I little bit stiff for at least the first couple of months. They definitely run a half size big. I have a closet full of size 12's, but the 12 in this shoe was obviously too big from the moment I took it out of the box. I'm now in a size 11.5. Overall a good looking shoe that might sacrifice a bit of comfort for style.
This is a great looking shoe. The quality of the uppers is fantastic. I haven't spent this much money on shoes in a long time but these are well worth it. The only thing that bothered is that the soles look like they wore down a lot in the first two days. Other than that I love these shoes and I also bought them in brown. I may buy a second black pair because I like them so much.
Shoe looks really good. After wear doesn't distress too bad. Has very little sole so it's not an all day shoe.
The shoe is a good looking shoe, but they were of poorer quality than expected. The description said Made in Spain but, after receiving the shoes, noticed they were made in Mexico. The shiny leather seems cheap and the rest of the shoe had issues, including pins on the heel not pressed all the way in, causing me to scratch the floor or tear the carpet. Also, the uppers are extremely wide, so much so that I have to double over the top when tightening the shoe.
This shoes are very comfortable nice shoes and style. The only problem with these shoes is that they get wrinkles easily I bought the shoes and day after I wore them. I noticed that my old shoes looks better that the one that I bought on Zappos. If Mezlan the manufacture company can make an improvement on the quality of the leather, those shoes were the perfect choice for many people.
After working at Cole Haan for four years, I have seen many top quality shoes. The Fulmer is certainly one of them. Once past the breaking in process these shoes have an average level of comfort, but they certainly have the style and good looks to make you want to always have them on your feet. I will continue buying Mezlans because of the sharp look they provide!
I ordered the size 12, which is the size I own in other Mezlan oxfords, but this shoe was longer. I need an 11.5 (but they're currently out of stock in that size).
My husband is very particular with his shoes...and refuses to pay retail prices at mall stores. So I talked him into trying Zappos. I had been pleased with my purchases and love the free shipping for purchases and returns, nothing to lose! He loves his Mezlan's, everything he was looking for and more! Great value and easy shopping, no mall traffic, no gas expense. Love Zappos!
