A very nice looking shoe, no break in time from the first time on out of the box. Comfort and lightweight for a steel toe shoe and they are fun to wear at work all day. Love Keens!

The boots fit great! I have a very wide foot and the 11.5 EE is the perfect fit. Zappos is the best service provider anywhere! I started with a size 12 EE And there was a little too much room in the toe box. I called Zappos and they sent a smaller size and it arrived the next day. Thanks so much!

Wonderful shoe for work! Seems like good quality construction. I had the Keen Albanys for a year and a half until they wore out and decided to try a new pair. The leather seems to cover a bit more on this pair which may mean it'll last longer where the others wore out. Overall very happy after having them for over a week!

I needed a slip resistant for work and tried these after reading all the good reviews. I wear arch supports and they fit well in the shoes. I got the wide width and the toe box is nice and roomy not tight at all.

These are nice solid boots. They are very stiff out of the box. They need to be broken in. These boots seem to be very well built. The term utility is about right. It is like a work boot / hiking boot to me. The soles are harder than what I have normally purchased. The fit was good. I normally wear a 9½W, but I went with a 10W. That was the way to go I believe. Like I said, these are pretty good overall shoes. They just need to be broken in. Also, thanks Zappos for your easy return policy.

Did some test walking in them before going to work in them. Nothing more miserable than having to endure a day in uncomfortable boots. They don't have much arch support, and I had an issue with pressure on the front of my inner left ankle. Just keep pressing and rubbing when I walked. Right boot didn't do this. Boots look good, other than the one issue feel good.

Big thank you to Zappos! Received my order in a timely matter and was very pleased with not only my shoes but the customer service follow up as to even reassuring if I was not happy I can return. Imagine all the way in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Guam!

I do a lot of work at the airport.so I need a shoe I could walk through security without taking my shoes off constantly. This shoe is probably the most comfortable work shoe I've tried. This is my second pair and I will be buying keen from now on!

I like them. They look good but they look plastic at the same time. Non skid soles, great. They are comfortable, wide toes (only), "waterproof top", my socks got just a little wet but not soaking wet when water landed on the tops and seeped through the side of the tongue. These do not breathe well enough. The search continues.

These shoes fit great. I have wide feet and find that Keens are the best. These shoes are heavier than I usual wear with their steel toes, but I decided to try them and keep them. They are comfortable, have great traction, and are great hiking shoes. I am certain that for others they will be fabulous work shoes.

I like these. They are my first pair of steel toed shoes, and I find them to be comfortable, with good support. I notice the weight compared to a regular shoe, but I actually think it's good for my legs.

I really give shoes a job to do. Protect my feet. They get weather of all kinds, I kick, lift, push etc. and at long periods just drive so it is really nice to find a pair like this! When not working I slip them on for a walk with my dogs. I love them!

Let me first start off with, I absolutely love Keen shoes and I hate writing negative reviews. I bought a pair of Keen shoes over two years ago and the footbed of the slip on shoe is amazing. I am on my feet all day so I do not hesitate to spend money on good footwear. I purchased these to try something different with my work boots. With so many positive reviews I bought these. These boots are extremely uncomfortable. The insert is paper thin and gives no cushion between your foot and the hard sole (which is excellent for work). The energy transfer when you step is felt directly on your foot since there is no cushion. It literally feels like you are walking on concrete with bare feet. It did not take long for my foot to throb with only wearing for a few hours. I will not directly plug their competitor but I usually wear boots with Anti-Fatigue Technology. Keen, please look into investing money for developing a superior insole for your boot. It is crazy to buy such expensive boots and then have to buy an insole. I would not even care if they were more expensive but I did not have to buy an insole. The boots should be comfortable when you buy them. I will continue to buy Keen shoes since they are amazing but not for work.

Well, it's been three years now that I've been wearing these every day, running HVAC/R service, so I thought I'd update my review from April 2013 on here. I just recently decided that it's time to replace my work boots, so 3 years is pretty good considering I really put work boots through the wringer. I upgraded with a much more expensive, but better boot, the Red Wing 2414, which is puncture proof, electrical hazard safe, Gore-Tex waterproof, and actual steel in the toe. The Keen boots are still very comfortable, but I did notice that they stopped being "waterproof" after the first year. More like water resistant. Good for rain and occasional puddles, but not for standing water, which is common in my line of work. Also, once they completely broke in, I did notice that they were a little wide for my feet -- I have narrow feet, so if you have narrow feet, you may find the same. The Red Wings seem custom fit for feet like mine. The toe bumper has been a great feature on the Keens, and held up well, so I got the toe of my Red Wings toe coated with "Tuff-toe." Once the Keens stopped being waterproof, I did have issues with odor, and had to take the footbed and insole out and open the boot up and air it out and spray it several times over the years. The leather, sole, and stitching held up well considering how bad I beet them up, but a couple of the very top lace hooks broke at some point and time, which doesn't matter to me since I only lace up to second-from-the-top. The nail in the coffin for these was the leather drying and cracking after getting covered in water and soot from a boiler cleaning, so now they're toast. Overall, I definitely feel that these were a good boot for the money, but for additional money, I think the top of the line Red Wings are better for me. One word of caution: if you buy Keen utility, buy the upper end lines -- I have seen many guys in my field wear out the lower end Keen work boots in no time and complain about the quality.

I've had to wear steel toe shoes at work for 17 years. After a few thousand dollars spent in other well known boots I've finally found the most comfortable steel toe shoes I've ever worn! Light in weight, lots of toe room and very comfortable right out of the box! Will be buying more Keens when these wear out, thanks Zappos!

I was looking for something to replace my Red Wings that were discontinued. I am a service electrician so I am lucky to not need steel toes. Being such; I did need something with very durable toes for working down low. I have been wearing these for a week now and love them. The pair may weigh less than one of my other boots. Minor issues being laces are quite long and have to watch out for jumping hooks in upper. The ankle seems a little loose and too firm to tighten; but it has only been a week. I dig them.

Love these! Have felt great on my feet from the minute I got them. And, have lived up to all the features listed - waterproof, slip-resistant, great support. On any given day, I go from slogging through mud or snow to walking on epoxy-painted concrete floors that often times wet. These shoes have performed perfectly in all cases.

I am 6'4", 320lbs. 42 years old. I have done years in machine shops and some times as a 48 states trucker. I have used these boots for both jobs. I wear a size 14 wide, steel toe. These boys fit great. Better than great. My feet have been arthritic for twenty years. Left foot is flat. Right foot has a high arch. Right ankle twists outward to the right side with toes that are crooked and bent up. I have worn many of the big brands of work boots, with or without prescription orthotics. Red Wing, Worx, Rockies, Bates, Danner etc. I've worn many of the cheaper brands as well. Cat, Dickies, Walmart etc. But Keen is number one in my book. Its nice wearing boots that have no break-in period. No other boots have the great fit of a Keen. I felt the quality right out of the box. The footbed is curvy and feels easy going on my feet. The boots fit both of my feet great. The lace-up style offers the different fits that I require. When I stand up, these boots are rock solid and very supportive all the way around. If I pick up a 100 lb. tool box, they still don't flinch. Hard to believe, that a boot that works great for hiking, is so tough. If you need them to be supportive they never give. Yet when I need to bend and flex they move with me. That's pretty damn interesting, how they did that. Excellent design. They don't scuff. They are *very* waterproof. When I get out of the semi truck at 10°F and step in ice slush up to my ankles, its no problem. Even after doing that off and on the entire shift. And by shift I mean 12 to 24 hours. Puddles, mud, oil slicks, grease spots, harsh chemicals, nails, glass, metal scrap, coolant. I quit worrying after a month. Even after wearing the same pair for two+ years, I only found two weaknesses. Number one, if the water is above the top of the boot, it will get in. My fault. Number two, don't blow a compressed air gun at point blank range when there are fine, sharp metal shavings laying on top of the mesh area. It will push the shavings through the fabric and compromise the waterproof lining. My fault again. My suggestion for machinists and of course welders, is to get one of the all leather Keen boots. Other than those two things, I found no weaknesses. They breathe decent in hot weather, because of that fabric tongue. Yet they are warm in the icy winters. My feet don't feel clammy in the winter, like the all leather, three hundred dollar boots do. How did they do that? My feet feel great. The metatomical footbed is a godsend. No rub spots on my messed up feet. I put insoles in, but its not necessary. Apparently you can't improve on perfection. I can't believe how tough the leather is. The rubber toe cap is very thick and durable. It doesn't scuff when I'm crawling under a truck on asphalt or concrete. Its nice knowing I can kick off the snow and mud against the truck step or a building wall without damaging the toe. I also never feel it when I kick something, they are very padded inside. The inside of the toe box is big. Lots of room for my crooked toes. The traction on the soles is great. I don't slip on oil or loose gravel. I thought the tread was wearing fast at first, but they still have plenty of wear left after two years. My ankles are stabilized. Oh my God, the stability. I mis-stepped a couple of times and had I been wearing a different boot, I would have gone off the edge. Thanks for saving my ass, Keen. If my ankle gets stuck between rocks or peices of steel, I don't feel it. Yet they are flexible. These are the toughest heels. Armored. But they are soft and curvy inside and have never rubbed me wrong. The laces never broke. The eyelets and top hooks never broke or even bent. I bought the black ones that had the yellow on them, but I think the brown with red accents are probably the coolest looking. I will get those next. I'm going to stick with Keen. I beat them up pretty good, but they could take a lot more. Thank you Keen for a superior product. Zappos is the best on customer service and delivery. I have placed many orders with them and I will continue to do so.
