Well a pair for me for Christmas.. all ready have a pear after all these years it is harde to tell them apart...Used zappos for price super fast shipping and Our history together.....and use with back down..also increases the arch...mine are such.

These are terrible sandals. As another reviewer stated, these sandals stretch and there is only one adjustment method. There is no way to adjust the heel strap so you have to keep trying to tighten the rubber band type lace. That is a very poor design. After two wearings my little toes now poke out the sides, plus my foot slides around in the sandals. Find something with more fit adjustments, at least for the heel strap so you can pull your foot into it. I cannot return them because the problem did not appear until after two outdoor wearings. I cannot recommend these!

Great sandals, my first pair lasted over four years and still looked great. Would still be wearing them if the back pull-up strap on one sandal hadn't broken. I normally wear a wide shoe, but he medium sandal fits fine.

Just ordered my second pair of Newports ever. I tried hard to wear out the first pair, which I've had now for over 8 years, but finally I gave up and bought some new ones. These things are indestructible. And very comfortable. Mine are like slippers on my feet. I have literally worn them in every environment: desert, mountain, ocean, river, working in the back yard, riding bikes -- I use them for everything. For me, the wider toe box and the comfortable footbed are critical. I have bad feet, so I need the comfort. I highly recommend these to anyone considering a tough/comfortable sandal.

This is a great all-purpose shoe. It provides plenty of protection for the foot while still being open and flexible. It can be worn with or without socks in case you're going from warm weather to cold as I often do when traveling to Mexico. This shoe dries thoroughly and quickly if you happen to be wearing it walking through water or into the ocean. Five stars for sure. Only negative: this shoe takes a minute to put on as you can't "slide" into it and then tighten the laces. You've got to use the strap provided to pull the shoe on.
