This is my sons second year in Geox sandals. He likes the look, and the feel (he's very picky about fit and comfort). I like the durability. The ones from last year have no issues and still look good. I'm confident they will hold up well and look good on his brother too when he grows into them. I also like the breathability. His feet get sweaty easy but not in Geox and they never smell. They are not good for wet conditions. They take forever to dry.
My daughter loved these shoes and I loved the fact that they were "breathable" but I had to return them since after 2 minutes of wearing them around the house, the elastic at the front edge of the shoe left a red marking on her feet as if it was pressing it down too much (I am not referring to the elastics at the back or sides of the shoe, but the front - the other elastics were very flexible and soft). I was afraid she would get a blister if she wore them. Other than that, the fabric and the sole were very soft. I just wished the elastic at the front of the shoe was not so rigid, pushing down right at the edge of her toes. If Zappos carries Geox sandals, I will definitely order them since I want to buy shoes that prevent sweating.

I got these for my 10-year-old to replace his older Geoxes, which he loved. He loves these too, although I didn't realize they lit up. I mean they really light up. The heels, and the eyes of the spider, they all flash with each step. Now to my dismay my younger boy wants to return the shoes I got him (barefoot Merrells, which are great), and get some of these. And we are going to London. I am wondering how the Brits will like two boys with flashing spider shoes coming in to high tea!
