Will look for more Gentle Souls flats in future seasons. Couldn\'t be more pleased; I wear them often. Roomy rounded toebox, and still very feminine looking. A bit expensive for what they are, but they look great with skinny or slim pants and are very comforable - lightweight, soft, very flexible and have more arch support than most ballet type flats. If you like to wear flats sans socks, the deerskin lining is particularly breathable and silky. In the end, I think they will provide good cost-per-wear. I find that I almost never wear my Pedro Garcia ballet flats (retail price more than twice that of Buckle Bay), not only because they aren\'t nearly as comfortable, but also because they don\'t complete most outfits as well as the Buckle Bay. \r\nI\'ve been asked several times what they are and where I bought them. As always, Zappos is terrific. My size originally sold out. I selected email me when available. They did. I ordered immediately and had them the next day.

My Gabby Gentle Souls shoes are the most comfortable shoes in the world! I bought a pair in NYC and had to have another so I immediately went to Zappos to see if they had them. They did! I ordered them and they were here the next day. I love Zappos!

These are so cute and deliciously comfy, EXCEPT the heel was so loose that I could see a big gap behind my heel and walking not possible without it slipping off my foot. So sad.Too bad. A perfect heel height but not for my foot. I have very hard-to-fit feet.

I got tired of searching for basic, cute black heels with nice leather, thought these might be worth the money. Sadly, they're not so great. No arch support (don't expect it in a cheap pump, but for this price had hoped the promised "flaxseed pillow" might actually do something). Also, as is far too common with pumps, the toebox is cramped, while the heel slips. Can't someone figure out that even in dress shoes, toes need a little room to wiggle, while heels do not? I kept them thinking that the leather would stretch a bit by the forefoot, but after a few weeks it has not improved. These are mildly uncomfortable even just sitting at my desk.

A lovely shoe. It's everything I've been looking for over a year in a shoe to replace 2 pairs of Dr Scholl's black suede "slippers" with outdoor sole and elastic band that I bought well over 5 years ago on sale at Zappos. Fit on my 5 1/2-6 B very narrow heeled foot was excellent in a 6 on my (smaller) left foot, but throat hit and bit a bit at the (potential) bunion spot on the (larger) right foot. I returned them and am contemplating ordering a 6 1/2 and using an insole in the left. For the price I'd like them to be perfect, but doubt I'll find anything else near my dream shoe regardless of price. Band is very comfortable and in the perfect place on my foot.

These boots are great for anyone with larger calves. Normal boots have never fit over my larger calves, but these were just perfect. The boot itself is also very comfortable from the first time I wore it. I took it to Denver on a business trip where it snowed 24 inches and these boots were just great. They are pricey, but worth every penny for me!

As always, Zappos has incredibly fast shipping. This is a stylish boot that has very soft leather, a comfortable rounded toe, and the perfect amount of heel to make the boot stylish and feminine. The tread looks adequate for Boston's icy sidewalks. The platform heel is narrow rather than chunky, but not to the point of being unstable (my ankles turn easily so I think about these things). The shaft of the boot is reasonably flattering to my extremely skinny calves (is still too generous and flares out too much, likely to accommodate more muscular calves than mine, but unlike most boots, these do not look goofy and do not make me look like I have elephant legs). The inner sole is very cushiony and it feels like they'd allow for hours of comfortable walking. There is enough lift that those not used to wearing some heel might find it uncomfortable for prolonged wear. My only problem is that I have a developing bunion on my feet and crooked, flared out toes, worse on the right. My toes on the right feel cramped. The left boot fits like a dream. The leather is supremely soft and I think the boot will "give" to accommodate my foot. The boot does not come in a wide size. I have not decided if I am keeping them or not. Obviously, I can't comment on their comfort on actual use since I haven't worn them outside the house. I agree with the reviewer that this boot's supple leather would require some TLC (regular polishing). But any shoe worth wearing is worth taking care of (in my humble opinion). For anyone with normally shaped feet, this is the ideal marriage of style and comfort and is a great choice for anyone with slimmer calves.

Worth every penny. Stumbling upon the Gentle Souls brand was the best thing I ever did for my feet. They are made very well, have good support and hold up great over time (even with NYC walking). These ballet flats (Buckle Bay) in particular were a total surprise in the best way. I have the Bay Leaf style flats also, and these are even more comfortable. They feel like slippers. I will say that like most of their shoes, they are cut wide so don't size up in these for width. I usually wear an 8, and in Gentle Souls ballet flats I am always a 7.5. These are the perfect shoe for everyday use and are versatile enough to dress up or down. Thanks Zappos for the great selection (I couldn't find these anywhere else) and the awesome service!

Just discovered this most comfortable brand of shoe, from the first time I put it on I could wear it all day. I have since purchased 2 more pair in different styles. It does run 1/2 size large.

These shoes are so comfortable yet stylish. I would say they run BIG. I returned them for a smaller size--a half down. If you are looking for a flat that has more support and nice slight lift off the ground these are great. I did put heel grips in mine because I did get a little heel-out-of the shoe routine the first couple of wearings.

I purchased these shoes for recent trip to Europe. They were perfect for pants or a dress. I was searching for a comfortable all purpose shoe that did not have that "mary jane" strap. I am a 40 something who does not want to look like a kindergardener on the first day of school. I was able to pack very lightly since they functioned for so many different outfits. The padding inside allowed for long days of walking on uneven stones and hard marble floors. The sole also has some traction which was very helpful on rainy days. Great shoe!

These are great shoes. Very comfortable for a 3" heel and soft everywhere. Also love the rounded toe. No break in required, and I was able to wear it to work and then dinner right out of the box.

Terrific comfort - A go-to shoe for comfort. Not enough support or cushioning for an all day pounding of the urban streets of Manhattan. I love wearing these for quick trips out or around the house with my black leggings. I bought the smooth leather, then came back for the black suede ones. Would love to see them made with the strap closer to the toes, or a criss cross strap design.

These are a great everyday shoe for me. They are very comfortable to walk in and have a sleeker look than a lot of the "comfortable" shoes. They are cute with jeans or a skirt with tights or leggings.

Like all Gentle Souls products, these are super-comfy and stylish enough to wear to work. And like every Gentle Souls product, I\'m having a hard time keeping them on my feet! The line does tend to run a bit large but even in my "small size" my heels keep sliding out. I do miss the days when shoes were more widely available on combination lasts. When are manufacturers going to understand that women have heels that are proportionately narrower than do men, and offer products that are an easier fit for must of us? Still, I think these shoes are groovy and I\'m going to see if a cobbler can do something about the heel slippage. The three star comfort rating reflects my concern about feeling that these gorgeous shoes are about to fall off my feet.

Comfortable and stylish. The suede eggplant color is subtle and beautiful and works well with black, brown and navy colors. The little heel actually makes them more comfortable than the basic flat style and a little easier on the feet.

These shoes are very comfortable but the sole split after only a couple months of infrequent wear. I was really disappointed with the quality of these shoes. For this price, they should have lasted longer than a couple of months.

Sweet shoes! Super comfortable! A little expensive and sizing is odd. I am normally a 9. It was way to big and and 8.5 is a little tight. I guess I need an 8.75. They are so cute I am going to try the 8.5.

Gentle Souls are perfection. Quality and style are the best available. Yes, they are pricey, but worth it if you have feet that need to have the best support! They mold to your feet. "Give" in areas where they need to (i.e. bunions) and hug your arch where needed. And, again, Zappos comes through with speedy delivery. Thanks.

Gentle Souls' Fortune Stella - I ordered this shoe, while searching for a black everyday shoe that I could wear to work. I was disappointed that it seems to run extremely small. I'm returning the shoe, and have ordered 1/2 size larger. I'm hoping that it fits.

Comfortable and Stylish. These boots are very comfortable and stylish at the same time. The lower heel can be worn with both casual and dressy outfits. The arch support allows for hours of comfortable walking, you can really feel the wonderful cushiony support. The wedge heel looks petite, not clunky like some other boots. The only con I can find is the softness of the leather, which isn't a bad problem to have. They seem to scuff easily, so be ready to watch them like a hawk in a crowded room. The shaft height is a true mid-calf and the size seems to be right on. I usually wear a 10.5, but the 10 fit well.

About Gentle Souls

Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole has created a natural way to combine fashion, comfort and care for your feet. This revolutionary patent-pending technology uses the finest natural materials for organic comfort in their shoes and sandals.

Deerskin lining- Gentle Souls’ shoes uses supple and breathable deerskin-lined insoles providing softness and comfort while conforming to the shape of your foot. It is durable and will not stretch or crack when wet. Deerskin is normally found on gloves, jackets or shoe uppers. The deerskin-lined insole is unique to Gentle Souls’ shoes and sandals!

Flaxseed Memory Pillows- Flaxseed pillows are embedded in the footbed of Gentle Souls’ shoes to mold to the shape of your foot and provide cushioned support. The flaxseed “memory pillows” are somewhat similar to beanbags as they redistribute and adjust to the shape of your foot with every step.

Padding- Under the deerskin lining there is a memory foam developed by NASA; Poron®. This foam does not break down and maintains its shape over time.

Granulated Cork- This layer located under the Poron® helps with shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces.

Rubberized Outsole- Sometimes fused with leather, rubberized outsoles are flexible and great for traction on hard surfaces.
