The shoe looks really great and the leather is very strong as many have mentioned. The sole, however, squeaked like crazy for me, and it never went away after a couple of months of wearing. It was rather embarrassing so unfortunately this was a show stopper and I put this shoe on the shelf. The sole also didn't last as long as I thought it would have. I probably could have gotten the squeak fixed at a shoe store, but I felt it wasn't worth the time or the money. I don't know what it is about men's shoes, but the quality has gone down across the board over the past few years. My other pair of Alfani shoes separated from the soles because they were glued and not sewn. Seems like a lot of cheap outsourced manufacturing going on with men's shoes.

Good shoes, just the kind and quality you would expect from the Florsheim name. As noted in another review the break-in period was short (6 hours or so) and after this, the shoes feel perfect. Got them at the last minute for my wedding (when she told me I couldn't wear my steel toes) and was worried they would be uncomfortable. They were not, even got through the dancing with the wife and the moms. Would recommend both the shoes and of course Zappos, both of which rock! Thanks.

Fits like a glove!
First ordered an 8 1/2, had to return for a 9. Shoe fits perfectly. So comfortable, never hurt during break-in. But, the best thing is about Zappos customer service. IT CAN'T BE BEAT PERIOD!!! JENNA is wonderful!! I recommend Zappos EVERYDAY to all my friends and family, SO, go ahead and order your shoes!!!

With the price of good shoes going thru the roof, this pair of shoes is an excellent buy. They fit well and look good. Great buy.
Took several weeks to break-in, but offered good arch support and become very comfortable. Good product for the price.

These wear like IRON and are really comfortable (bought 3 pair), but 2 of the 3 pairs have bubbles in the leather in the creases on top of the foot and it is really visible. This took about 1 year to show up, but the bubbled leather is really obvious and doesn't look good. I took REALLY good care of these and live in SoCal, so the shoes have never been wet. I think maybe the leather is cheap leather and probably something other than cowhide. I was going to buy the Kenmoor, but now wonder if that shoe will also be made of some unknown leather that will bubble up. FYI - I also have a Bostonian Tahoe that has weird lines in the leather after not much wear. Oh - on one pair of the Florsheims, the burgundy stain has worn off on the edges of the trim and my shoemaker says they probably weren't stained properly.

Good for about seven months -
Then, one morning, you will try to put on the right shoe and the rubber part of the heel will fall off. I expected far more from such a $$$ pair.

The shoe looked to be narrow, but when wearing them they fit well and were not uncomfortable at all. They have a nice shine, and needed no break in period.

Excellent Wingtip -
This is an overall great pair of shoes. They hold a good shine and provide great support. The sizes are true. The only negative comment I have is the sole. The rubber sole that is imbedded in the leather sole can be an issue after a few months. The sole comes loose from the leather and makes you sound like you are wearing flip-flops. The price to re-sole with solid leather is reasonable.
To give a better shine, do not use Kiwi. Use Lincoln Stain Wax. It provides a higher and lasting shine.

I'm really glad I bought these shoes. They're very comfortable and quite stylish. A little narrow in appearance, but not in fit. Broke in with a couple of days. Very happy with this purchase.

It has been 30 years since I wore Florsheims wing tip shoes. After reading other's reviews, I took the leap and was very happy. These shoes are very comfortable and fit my narrow great. Will buy another pair when these wear out.

The shoes look great. The heel is a bit stiff, but that is the case with all dress shoes at first. I have had mine about 2wks now and they are feeling fine.

A very nice shoe, as to be expected of Florsheim. The toe seems to be a little boxy as opposed to the shoe in the picture. I expected a more rounded pointy toe, but these are okay, not so boxy that I would want to return them.

My first Florsheim & my first Zappos -
I checked the price on these shoes locally. The price on Zappos was similar to what I would have paid, but with Zappos there was no sales tax.
BUT!!!
* Zappos selection was better!
* Zappos had what I wanted in stock! (The local store did not).
* Zappos shipped fast OVERNIGHT FOR FREE and I had the shoes the very next day!
* Zappos promised to pay for shipping on return! (It was not needed).
* I hate shopping for shoes! Zappos is my shoe store.

Out of the box, the shoes looked nice. I tried them on and they felt great. However, by the second wearing, the foot pad, which only extends half way, in my left shoe began to roll when I took my foot out. That's not a problem when I wear the shoes, but it's kind of a bummer when you pay $100.00 for a pair of shoes.

Feels and looks like a much more expensive shoe. Just dressy enough; Looks great with a suit, but you don't look like you're wearing tux shoes.

Worth the money -
I have two pairs of these. They are durable, look good and are as comfortable as one can expect from a dress shoe. The "B" width makes a good fit for me, and I am hard to fit. I hope they keep making these in my size for a long time to come!
