I think the material is well-represented in the photo; it's definitely a light, breezy feel and would be good to wear at the beach. Unfortunately, they have made these pants tighter at the waist, hips, and top of the thighs, and THEN they become loose. So, what this looked like on me was ridiculous - super tight at the top, and then flowing out at about mid-thigh. I'm 5'3, a size 14, with curves, including some hips and a rear end. If you're going to make clothes for curvy women, especially over a size 10, then companies have to factor in the build of these women. These pants did not do that. I'm bummed, because I would have really liked to wear them! Also, they were obviously very long, I would have had to get them hemmed. I'd say if you're any size under 5'5, 5'6, these might be a little long on you.
I bought this for an upcoming trip to the caribbean, hoping to have some long-sleeve cover-up options. I'm a size 14, about 5'3, so I ordered the large, which they advertise fit a size 14. The shirt fit me fine in my arms (was actually pretty loose) and in my chest, but as soon as I got to my waist the shirt pulled too much. So it becomes extremely form-fitting around the hip area... which makes no sense, considering most of the hips on the women I know usually are wider than the rest of their body. It did not look good on me, pulling at the bottom like that. The style of the shirt is that it is supposed to hang down loose, which I'm assuming only happens if you're super thin and/or not curvy? It would have been too big if I had gone up a size, since again, it fit me everywhere else. The material was soft, but I think it actually might be a bit too heavy for being in the sun. I'm disappointed, and the shirt was returned. Bottom line, if you're a curvy woman with somewhat of hips or a rear end, then this shirt may not be for you.

I'm a size 12, and got a Large. I thought it was a bit poofy because of the stiff material, but received so many compliments on the dress, that I stopped worrying about it. I liked that it was stiff, and it fit perfectly around my chest and held me up-- which sometimes tends to be a problem for me with strapless dresses. Overall, I loved it!
