This shoe looks ridiculously good! I get comments on how awesome my boots are pretty much every day I wear them at work. At first (about two weeks) they hurt the back of my heel and ankle. I had a little scabbing. I was sort of lazy about it, though. If I would have worn two layers of thick socks like I was supposed to, then they would have felt better. I had all sorts of people rub the leather on the back of the heel to work them in a little. I do not recommend wearing these or any steel toes if you have a manual vehicle. I made the horrible mistake and stalled my car 5 times in rush hour! It made for a good laugh at work though! I love the boots now! They are super sexy and are slowly working their way into "comfy-ville." I rather get really nice steel toes like these than crappy ones that won't last and that I'd only wear at work. I can wear these anywhere! Oh yeah, and be sure to order them a size to half size smaller than you'd normally buy. I did and they fit just right.

Super comfortable and easy to break in. These shoes last a long time. I wore my last pair for 8 years. These will last at least another 8 years.

Every time I order from Zappos we stand with the UPS man and laugh - I order one day and it is usually delivered by the next day! That is just with the regular shipping, nothing extra AND we live in the middle of nowhere! Our UPS man says that Zappos is the best company for shipping anywhere. I say that Zappos has the best deals anywhere. What a combination. You guys are awesome.

I love this shoe! I have to say, I'm nothing but pleased with my purchase of this product! At first I was nervous about how painful they would be to break in. I've heard a lot of horror stories, but it really wasn't too bad. The first week is a little uncomfortable, but not unbearable. My advice is to wear thick socks and don't tie them too tight. They look pretty great on, and they feel super durable.

I finally had to replace my beloved Docs after 11 years. A lot has changed since then, and I was sad to see that most of the ones out now are made in China and just not the same quality. Luckily, DM has the Vintage line to preserve the same great UK-made boots I remember. They are worth every penny extra and the few weeks of break-in time to get the better quality leather and sturdier construction. I look forward to wearing these boots for another decade! Also, I've found that I have to add insoles to my Docs since they don't have any arch support. The unisex sizes are much more accommodating for this; the women-specific boots tend to run a lot smaller.

These shoes are still the same after all these years. They're the best in the snow and the rain. They stick to the ice like glue. It takes a while for the foot bed to conform to your foot, but once it does you'll never want to take these off. They run a little big, so wear thick socks and you'll be OK.

Great product, great service, great company! These guys not only offer free shipping; they also oftentimes provide you with free rush delivery- just to be nice. The boots look just like they do online. I have no buyer\'s remorse whatsoever!

These Docs are great! Very comfortable shoe. As far as the service goes, that has been excellent! I continue to be very impressed with the next day delivery to my door. I've been wearing Docs for twenty-five years and the quality dropped disastrously when production moved. These Vintage 1461s, though, feel like the real thing and look ever so much better.

These shoes are amazing for when you have to be on your feet a long time. They do run a bit big, but that's okay because with my hand knit socks I get a perfect fit. They are rugged, of absolutely sturdy construction. I have other Doc Martens that I bought over 3 years ago, and they still look brand new. No one should hesitate to purchase these shoes!

This would be my first time ever buying shoes online. I was pretty skeptical at first even though I've had Dr. Martens before and knew what size to get. My new ones from Zappos arrived in a timely manner. I tried them on for an hour a day inside the house to make sure they were just right, and now I feel happy with them. I worried a little at first about the inner lining which doesn't quite measure up to a pair of Clarks that I wear to work. I soon got over it once I wore them around town a bit. These Dr. Martens are well worth the money for comfort and looks. I like them even better than my earlier pair, which were more of an ankle boot. I got the dark brown color, which I strongly prefer as well. It' a good casual shoe that I like to wear just for fun. That's about all I need for now.

I ordered these shoes for an actor in a touring situation. He is using them on multiple different surfaces, some of them very hard. He is in them up to 10 hours per day. They fit well (true to size) and are comfortable. I also changed the color of them and it has held very well. All in all, very good shoes for style, fit, and performance.

I have been wearing Doc\'s for 15 years. Their comfort, durability and price is unmatched! These boots are no exception. Excellent protection, comfortable, ready to wear out of the box. I have a previous pair of this style that I purchased in 2004 and they still look & feel great! I highly suggest this boot!

Love these! Got 'em real fast, as usual. Ordered an 11, but they were too big all over, even with thick socks and my on-the-wide-side foot, so got a 10 instead and they're very slightly tight across the instep, which ought to be perfect after a few hours of wear. 3/4 inch platform, 3 inch heel, so when you do the math the heel is only 2 1/4 and therefore more comfortable than I expected as I'm not a heel person. Standard Docs darkish cool-tone red, so you're definitely wearing red shoes, but subdued red shoes. The best!

Not only are these boots super stylish, but they are also extremely comfy! I find that most boots require an extensive break in period before you can wear them for any length of time. Not these! I incorporated them into my Halloween costume and wore them for the first time for a full night af partying. Not a single blister, and my feet felt fine the next day! Although I would recommend insoles with arch support if you have any troubles at all. My best friend is already trying to steal them, and I have had more compliments on these boots in the short time I\'ve had them than most pair of my most stylish pumps have had in their lifetime. With Doc Martins quality craftsmanship you just can\'t go wrong either! These boots are just freaking amazing all around! I highly recommend!

First, one more time, I was pleasantly surprised that my boots arrived sooner than I expected! I ordered them the day before Thanksgiving, and I got them in 2 days! Now, about the boots: They are very comfortable right from the start, although the left one feels a little looser than the right. I am sure it will even out after wearing them after a while. They look very durable and of good quality.

This is a good fitting and great looking shoe, but I do have one complaint. There is a hard leather logo stitched into the heel of the insole, what a horrible idea! The leather patch digs into the heel, and is just unwearable. I cut out the leather logo with a knife, and it's fine now.

Another pair of Docs I like! I tried both Bitter Chocolate and Black colors, but preferred the Black ones better. The UK7 size still gave me wiggle room for my toes (I normally wear US 8.5/9). What I also like about these boots is the "water-resistant suede uppers" feature (which hopefully holds true). I have had an awesome experience with Zappos and their customer service, that I will definitely continue to purchase from them. Thanks Zappos!

I had gotten these insoles to replace the original insoles in my Bostonian dress shoes, the Bostonians were only a few months old but the insoles that they came with stated to fall apart, the Dr. Marten Comfort insoles have been great, very comfortable and supportive with no sign of deterioration. A great buy!

I ordered a pair of Dr. Marten 1460 off Zappos. Not really sure what to expect, I was a bit hesitant to place my order from the internet. Then my worries came true. The package that was supposed to be delivered didn't make it or got lost. I called the same night and spoke to a customer service representative and explained what happened. Not only did she send me a replacement pair, it was delivered to my door the next day. Talk about wow, excellent customer service. Oh by the way, the product is great, fits really well and you can expect more orders from me in the future.

I ordered these boots the week of my birthday with no intentions of actually receiving them in time. When they arrived about 4 or 5 days after I ordered them, I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I discovered that the size I ordered was too big, and I was reluctant to send them back just because I wanted to wear them immediately. When I finally worked up the nerve to call the Zappos help line, the person I spoke to was extremely courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. She made me a V.I.P. member and informed me that my new shoes would be sent to me the following day. I couldn't believe it! I wear these shoes every day and am so glad I chose to buy them from Zappos.com. I will definitely be shopping here in the future. Thank you!

Holy Cow, these boots are awesome! I don't usually like to pay more than like $60-70, but had been having trouble finding something I liked and went with these Dr. Martens. Let me tell you, these are the most comfortable boots I've ever had. They're snug where they need to be and padded everywhere inside, even the footbed. They're easy to get on and off and very stylish, too.

These shoes are great! I've always wanted to get a pair of Dr. Martens shoes, but always worried about paying this much for them. These shoes are completely worth it. I am a zookeeper and these shoes are exactly what I need for my daily routines. The steel toes are great, the padding on the inside of the shoes are very comfortable, and it makes my feet very comfortable. Don't hesitate on getting these boots for work; they are completely worth it. Also, it only took 2 days for me to receive my boots from Zappos.com. That was one of the quickest internet transactions I've ever had. I was able to wear the boots to work the next day. Great boot and great site!
