Overall:

The best shoes ever! Of course, they're Doc Martens. So comfortable, they go with everything, and no breaking in was necessary, and still they get more and more comfortable with each time I wear them. Supposedly they have a slight heel. I don't like heels, but these are no problem at all. I highly recommend them.

Perfect fit! Felt very true to size, very comfortable, no breaking in period at all! Easy to walk in, I walked two miles in them the second day I received them with absolutely no discomfort! I have 13.5 inch calves and they fit great (at size 8 womens) in or out of jeans. The great thing about them is that even if the width is a bit wide for your leg, the opening sticks out all the way around your leg instead of just out the back so it doesn't make your calves look big.

I bought these boots for my son for his birthday and he said they are the most awesome boots and the most comfortable boots he has ever owned. He let one of his friends try them on when he got them and he didn't want to give them back because he thought the same thing!

Docs are awesome! Quality at its best, last forever in any weather condition. Made of leather unlike most boots on the market now. Fit is true to size. If you love a unique style and comfort, these boots are for you!

As soon as I put these shoes on I new they were for me. I wear size 14 and am diabetic so I am a hard fit. This is my first pair of Doc Martens and I am sure they won't be my last. The fit couldn't be better; they are light and stylish. I would recommend Zappos and Doc Marten to anyone in need of shoes.

Wow! I just received this in the mail and I immediately put in on my shoes that I ordered two weeks ago. This product makes my shoes look out of the box brand new! I can't say enough about this product, except it comes in a sort of small package, but you don't need much to get an amazing result! And with Zappos.com it's reasonably priced with free shipping! I think this product will last me a long time, but I think I might just have to order more!

These are some pretty awesome boots! My only complaint is that the soft leather tongue does this weird bunching up thing at it's base if you stretch your foot/walk around in them for a while. Also I needed to punch some extra holes in the straps to fit them to my calf. However, I fell in between sizes and went with the slightly larger one in the winter, and now that I'm not wearing thick socks all the time, I regret it a little bit.

Some of the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Mine were a little big at first, but I purchased some padded insoles and now they fit better and are even more comfortable.

Great ankle boot. These are so cute. I love the button details, I love the heel height, I love the comfort. These look great with jeans, pants, or even a miniskirt with tights. I have skinny ankles and average calves, and they are not too loose in the ankle, just right for the style these days. Like others have mentioned, the thing I don't like about these boots is the clickity-clackity heel tap, but a quick replacement fixed that. They are slightly wider than average, especially in the heel, to the point where I needed an insole to keep my heel from slipping when wearing them with tights.

Ridiculously comfortable shoes. The light brown ones are a little difficult to take care of and they stain easily. They look a bit clunky, so it helps if you wear pant with a decent sized leg opening.

I was looking for a cute ankle boot that I could wear with skirts and pants alike, and I\'ve found it with this one. As other reviewers have noted, it really is a wine color, with a little more emphasis on the purple than the red. I think it makes the boot really versatile. The toe box is nice and wide and I was happy that the upper is leather, which I think has a lot more give than the microfiber that\'s inside many boots. I will get a lot of use out of these boots; I know it. The heel is comfortable, not too high. Yes, they\'re a little stiff but I think they\'ll loosen as time goes on. Overall, a very nice, durable boot.

First off, Zappos is absolutely fantastic! I ordered this boot on Saturday and got them Monday. The boots themselves are great looking and great feeling. They went on snug, close to tight, I took about 5-6 steps and I couldn't feel the tightness anymore?! It's like they broke in within those few steps. I'm considering them for motorcycle riding, but I like the look so much that I know I would have to order another pair just for the motorcycle. By the way, I ordered both the black and brown pair.

Love these shoes! Helpful hint: go for a smaller size than you might expect. I have owned a similar pair of Dr. Martens in brown for 15 years, and they just don't wear out, stop looking good, or cease to be comfortable. So I decided to buy a pair in black. Since the style is only available in whole sizes, and I wear an 8 1/2, I wasn't sure which size to buy. The size on my old pair has rubbed away, but even though I usually size up to a 9 in such situations, I chose the 8, since I bought my old pair before my feet had "spread," and the old pair fits so well. I knew I could make the gamble, thanks to Zappos' return policy. I didn't need to take advantage of that return policy because the 8s fit perfectly. I should say the leather is a wee bit stiff at the heel and rubs the tiniest bit, but I have confidence the shoes will break in handsomely and will make me happy for a couple of decades.

These shoes are so comfy! and super cute. They are my "go to" shoes! I luv these shoes! Their fit is pretty typical for doc\'s. I usually wear a 7 1/2 in other brands but order a 7 in doc\'s. \r\n\r\nPS The Zappos gang is awesome!

Been watching these boots for just a while now. I ordered them Thursday night, knowing my recent breakup somehow would be kinder and sweeter once my booties arrived to be held dear. Upon waking & walking, to my wondering eyes does appear, but the UPS truck proclaiming my shoes from Zappos were here! They fit like a glove looking hip & serene, a few added notches got those belts nice around my shins. Zappos, I love ya! You care about me so! When I order from you, you treat me like a sis or bro. I really do like these boots. The leather is a bit stiff as others have said, so they aren't totally comfy, on the other hand, with good socks, I have no complaints. Stylewise, I'm digging them. They aren't too tall, too bikery, too fancy, but go nicely with a casual skirt and over my skinny jeans.

I choose the Dr. Marten "Curran" as a casual shoe for the office. Great selection, very light on the feet and the width not so tight as some are. Looks great, a good casual for a day wear. You'll be happy with this shoe. Enjoy.

About a month ago, I ordered a pair of the Dr. Martens Carey 8-Eye Cap Toe Boots. They turned out to be 1 size too small. Not only did Zappos send me another pair the very next day, but this happened before I sent in the smaller pair, so I wouldn't have to wait. The customer service rep that I dealt with was extremely friendly and even more accommodating! Honestly, I have never experienced such excellent customer service in my life! I will definitely shop at Zappos again and I've already told many people about the site and unmatched service that comes with it! I am very happy with my boots and still very impressed by the service which Zappos provided me with! Zappos.com rocks!

Apparently Dr Martens have moved some of their manufacturing oversees to the Orient; these are not the boots DM used to make. The soles and general construction are sub-par. The wearability is poor, but that is not evident until after wearing them for a short period of time, at which time you cannot return them. I have been wearing this style of DM for 15 years and this pair does not feel like it will last 1 year. What a letdown.

Incredible boots! Of all the shoes I've bought lately these are absolutely my favorite. They are exactly true to size. They look like regular Docs but feel like Uggs. They are not sheepskin boots, but are so warm. They don't slip on your heel and they are easy to slip on and off. Look great over and under jeans.

These boots feel really cheap. I feel like I am wearing a discount store knock off and not a quality shoe. The plus side is that they are way cuter than any discount knock-off. Mine are being returned, though, despite the cute factor.
