Dr. Martens Reviews
I wore combat boots in the US Army for more than 20 years and still love the feel of a boot around my ankles. When I saw this style, I just had to try a pair. I originally purchased the beige needlepoint. I returned and purchased the indigo denim/victorian flowers. I'm considering the multi needlepoint to round out the collection. There is no arch support but, the good thing is that the insole is removable and there's enough room in the boot to accommodate orthotics and athletic socks - if you so desire. I am always searching for shoes/boots with a generous toe box and wider fit. These are perfect. I dress them up for work with my business pantsuits, starched shirts and french cuffs. I think they will dress down just as well with a nice pair of jeans. These boots are sneaker shoe comfortable with more pizazz! I've gotten compliments from men and women.
I've always worn some sort of insert with Docs because I'm a true 9 1/2 with a low volume foot. Some worked better than others, but none as well as these. Great support and make for a perfect fit. I wouldn't buy a pair of Docs without them. Some minor trimming may be required depending on the shoe/boot style.

Love the shoes. They are for my daughter's school uniform. We love them because they are different than the usual blue/white oxford shoes. As a mother I love them because they are made well and fit well. Love them. Made well w/ lots of style.
These are old school schools. You have to wear them yo break them in to fit your feet. Once you have done this, you will have a long lasting pair of shoes that fit like a glove. To break them in, wear them in brief spurts and, if needed, wear blister patches on your heels. Again, well worth the effort. The other Doc Marten's (5 eyelets) break in easier, but wear out in less than a year. I do not mind the extra effort for the significant benefits.
Seriously awesome work boot. I work in a Data Center and need steel toe, but want some style to look good in the office when not building out server racks or running fiber. These boots fit the bill and then some. Plus with Doc's they are going to last a loooong time. I have a pair of Docs from 1996 that still look brand new, hope these last as long.
I ordered these in a 13 (what I normally wear in Docs) and I was swimming in them. I returned them for a 12, which were much too small.
Suede is very soft so the upper is loose, not rigid, and I found the wedge heel very comfortable and walkable.
I had to return these shoes. I bought a size 13 and they were far too loose in the ankles. I also had to tie the laces really tight to take up the slack around the foot, leading to aching feet. 12 is too small. I hope DR. M will make 12.5. These shoe soles squeak on wood surfaces; tile and marble seem silent.
I had a foot injury in high school - no obvious fractures, but I've got a very high/painful instep. Changing shoes helps me. I go from MBTs to Doc Martens, sometimes wedge/platforms for short periods of time. I like to be 'different' and these are definitely for me - the sparkles are great, do not flake off & I wore them a full day the first time I put them on - my feet were very happy. Love my Martens!
I bought these for my daughter for her birthday...I would really like to keep them for myself! Since I have may pairs of Doc Martins, I feel comfy completing the review.
Dr. Martens are crap. Every pair that I have ever owned has fallen apart within six months. I have sworn that I will never buy another pair. They are cheaply made and a waste of money.

I have not broken in a pair of smooth leather Doc's for over 20 years. These have really broken in after only two or three wearings and are some of the most comfortable Martens I have owned. Love the all black look on these and wear them 3 or 4 days a week.
Love these boots! They feel great and look fantastic. Needed a durable high-heeled boot. Felt absolutely true to size, too. I usually get a UK6/Woman's 8 but they were out of it, so I opted for the UK5/Woman's 7 and was pleasantly surprised to find that they fit just fine.

Love these boots! They feel great and look fantastic. They do lack the usual cushioning on the inside that other Docs seem to have, however, but that doesn't detract from the awesome. Felt absolutely true to size, too. I usually get a UK6/Woman's 8 but they were out of it, so I opted for the UK5/Woman's 7 and was pleasantly surprised to find that they fit just fine.
These are nice boots, but the quality is not that great. I was kind of let down. I have had them for a few months, and I have worn them on a regular basis, and they are squeaky. The boots literally squeak with every step you take. I had to actually lubricate the tongues with Vaseline to reduce the noise. They are comfortable once broken in, but the squeaking is insane.
Love, love, love. I have long been an admirer of the DM style and quality. I've owned similar styles of DMs before, and these have fully lived up to my expectations. They feel sturdy without being too heavy. They are uniquely styled without being ostentatious.
I'm a big Doc Marten's fan and actually were these shoes to the office. At eight years old, these are the oldest pair of shoes I own! I do a lot of walking and usually shoes just last a year. But these have defied the test of time and aside from needing a polish, still look brand new.
I'm on my third pair of these boots. Comfortable, go with almost everything. It's like the boot molds its form to your foot.
I purchased a pair of Dr. Martens earlier than have a deep seated sole. The shoes fit fine otherwise but - the back of my ankle was rubbing because the soles were too deep. I purchased two pair of these insoles and - put one in the dr. martens and - problem solved. They fit / size the same as the dr. martens so it was a perfect fit. Very comfortable. The reason I got these over something from the drug store (i.e. Dr. Scholls) was because the latter breakup so easy. These seem to be great and - after wearing them for hours - they don't break up. I used the other pair in a pair of Clarks I have. Very comfortable.
Fantastic. Beautiful boots. Solid, durable material. I've gotten several compliments from strangers while wearing them. The color is very appealing in its subtly. Overall, a classic boot. And it's vegan! Here's to hoping that Dr. Martens exponentially expands their vegan line of shoes. How awesome would it be get some of their other shoes in a vegan version?!
