Dr. Marten Reviews

I bought these as I needed a pair of dressy shoes for work; they don't have the typical Doc's chunky sole and look more formal so I went with it. The shoes themselves are very comfortable and fashionable; they're not as heavy as a pair with the large soles and fit great; I walk to the train and then 3+ blocks to my office every day and they never feel heavy or make my feet sweat more than normal. The only caveat I offer is that they are typical Docs made from high quality leather and they're brutal to break in; I made the mistake of wearing them the first day with thin dress socks and ended up with blisters all over my feet. I suggest wearing them around the house with thick socks for a bit to loosen the leather up; I used Kiwi shoe spray as well and now they fit like a glove.

Love this shoe balm! I bought it for the first time back when I was 16 for my Docs so when I bought my daughter her first Docs I had to get this! It's a must have!

I have never owned a Dr.Marten boot and was slightly intimidated to order...as I am 69 years old, have an unusually high arch and always need a roomy toe box. The wild aqua color caught my eye, and with free shipping, what did I have to lose if they did not work? Well folks....I am so much "cooler and cuter" than I was last week now that I am decked out in these extremely comfortable and fun boots. Thanks Zappos! You gave me enough information to take the leap. Love the Dr. Marten Pascals....Perky Patty!
About Dr. Martens
One of the most respected and well-know icons in the world, Dr. Martens' boots, shoes, work shoes, and sandals continue to set the standard for durability, comfort and fashion. Dr. Martens's trademark look and quality construction has been recognized world-wide since 1960.
Where the classic 1460 style was being used by mailmen, union workers, and factory workers, it soon became popular among the masses. The 1460 continues to thrive, symbolizing individualism, originality, and taps into a individual's unique style who's willing to make that bold statement.
Dr. Martens doesn't think of itself as a "shoe" brand, but rather a way of thinking, a self-expression if you must. Popularly known as Doc Martens, they allow you to feel free to rock your grunge shorts, spike up your hair to the heavens, show off your body art, whatever floats your boat. So whether you call them Dr. Martens, Doc Martens or just Docs there are no limits to your creativity.
