The Rex is fantastic - This is one of the most elegant dress shoes I have ever worn. The Nappa is buttery soft and has a natural sheen that can be polished to a shine. It will look great with a suit every day--conservative enough for certain professions but edgy enough to portray a modern styling. It represents a balance that I have not found elsewhere. The shoe is also extremely comfortable, fitted correctly. Regarding my experience with Zappos, I cannot overemphasize my high regard for this firm. They were diligent in working with my requests and quickly fixed a sizing issue. I would rate them among the best online service providers that I have encountered.

Poor durability - This is a nice looking shoe. It's just not an everyday shoe. It's leather is very soft, and therefore vulnerable to everything. The second time I wore these, my desk took a chuck of leather off of the right outside toe. Be very careful when wearing these. Not really worth the price.

Pliner Rex - They definitley fit a half size large. They are extremely comfortable and sharp looking. Have yet to wear them without getting compliments

Favorite dress shoes - They are simply gorgeous. I was shocked by how comfortable they are. The "breaking in" period is less than a day. Unfortunately, you need to be careful with them since they scuff easily and the top will warp if you don't use a tree.

I purchased the Rex and they are by far one of the best fitting, looking shoes out for the price. I tried several pair before deciding on this one it was perfect with slacks and jeans. The leather is extremely soft and I have narrow feet so I don't believe these particular shoes are for the larger feet however I could be wrong. Overall an excellent, excellent shoe, fit and style if there is a better one please email me !!

Nice shoe for big feet - I have only worn these a couple of times. The leather top is very soft so there is room to stretch if the shoes were too narrow. They are comfortable on my 17D feet.

Nothing Beats Real Leather - I spent a couple of years in the military spit-shining my shoes several times a week and even stripping the polish off to start over again at a base coat. You'd think I'd hate leather. I love it. Good leather can be maintained and last a very very long time, thus justifying the outrageous price of a fine shoe. I was not impressed by these nappa things. It's like overpriced pergo, except not as durable; the material is far too delicate for traipsing through urban jungle. Additionally, the appearance of the shoe (as well as the stuff in the catalog that came with it) is pretty mediocre. As well as lacking the high-gloss sheen in the photo, my pair somehow looked plainer - less molded. I tried them on with a pair of nice jeans and was completely uninspired. If the footwear industry is looking for a model overpriced mediocrity, you're looking at it. To be fair, they were pretty comfortable for a slip-on.

If you want a hand made Italian shoe that fits like it is custom made for you, this shoe is for you. The shoe stretches to fit your foot.Great looking and fitting. The craftmenship is impeccable. I have gotten lots of compliments. Worth the expense!

It's been less than a month and the soft leather has started to peel. There is a scar on the side of one shoe where the leather has come off. Cracks are beginning to show in other areas. There are two different materials on the heel of the shoe. One section is more rubbery, the other section is not and is extremely slippery when walking on surfaces such as marble. I've slipped, though never fallen, numerous times when walking over wet surfaces. This same section of the heel also gets small rock particles stuck into it. The sound of the rock particles in the heel scratching against my tiles at home makes me cringe. I was excited to get this shoe but now I'm really disappointed by how things have turned out.

I bought these shoes for my wedding. They looked great with the suit. Very light and comfortable. The leather is soft. Felt slightly larger than marked. I will definitely buy from Zappos again.

The best dress shoes I own. I even bought a 2nd pair. Stylish, comfortable, fits well. Can be slippery on ice though. Hard to find great dress shoes that look good in wides.

The area where the tongue would be starts to crack and dull very quickly (2-3 months). It's disappointing because other than that, it's a fantastic looking shoe. My pants cover the cracking, so I still wear them.
