These are narrow. The toebox felt cramped. I wear Dansko Professionals all the time but these heels just don't fit my wide feet.

I normally wear Keens but wanted something still comfortable yet a little more feminine. However, if you have a wide foot/high foot rise the toe box will cut into your foot.

I just started my first teaching job, and my feet were absolutely throbbing at the end of every day in my Born flats. I needed help immediately and found out about Dansko shoes. These are a lifesaver! Not only did my feet not hurt after nine hours in these, but my back, which has had pain for years, felt better than I can ever remember it feeling. For the first few times you wear them, they will rub a bit - for me, it was on my pinky toes. Not enough to blister, but enough to be painful. Once they are fully broken in, though, the actual footbed feels wonderful These shoes look super cute with skirts, shorts, and definitely with pants. If you have not worn Danskos before, be careful with the fit as they are supposed to be big enough to slip a little on your heel (not all the way out, like your foot is falling out, but enough for it to slip an inch). I wear 8½ with every other brand and I got two pairs of Danskos in size 40. I went to some comfort shoe stores in my area first to find the right fit and then ordered these on Zappos because they are not in the stores yet. Others mentioned issues with the shoe being narrow. I do not find that at all. If you normally wear wide shoes, then yes, they may be slightly narrow.

I adore these shoes! I can hardly wait for Fall! The Corduroy, Scarves, Wool, Hats, Falling Leaves finally allowing me to get to wear these! They are super adorable, awesome quality! At first I though I should exchange them for one size up because they felt a little snug across the widest part of my foot (this is an occasional issue for me). But I realized if I did that, then my foot would slip out the back. So, I have faith that the leather will give after a couple hours wear allowing me to comfortably rock these all Fall and Winter for years to come. I ordered my standard size 39 which I consistently wear in this brand. These are just so beautifully made and styled! I also love a similar style released for Fall from Poetic Licence. But I know from experience that the extra money is worth it for the Dansko's which will last many years comfortably. The Poetic Licence pair I bought last season are super cute but cheaply made Zero shock absorption in the ball of foot area. I can only wear P.L. a couple of hours before my feet are killing me. As a High School teacher I can wear my Dansko's all day long and even through evening conferences without any pain. So, this is an easy choice! Love these!

This shoes are really cute, but unfortunately as I have noticed with a lot of Dansko shoes the sizing is off. According to the size chart a 42 is 11.5-12. I wear an 11 and a 42 is almost always too small in Danskos. It is also the largest size Dansko makes in most styles. I bought these in a 42 because I purchased the Dansko Ryder in a 42 and it actually fit. As other reviewers have noted the Reeny is tight in the toebox and I had the same problem. I am keeping the shoes and will take them to a cobbler to have them stretched because they are just a bit too tight. It's too bad this company's sizing is so inconsistent and I wish that they would make more shoes in larger sizes.

These are not the possibly mythical "comfortable heels" I hope I may someday find, but they are pretty close. They are certainly more comfortable than most heels, but I would not want to stand or walk in them all day. I do not feel the discomfort in the ball of my foot like I do with most heels, but I am glad to kick them off at the end of the day. The soles are fairly heavy and can sound clompy on some surfaces, like the wooden clogs they evolved from. I mostly kept them because my husband said they looked hot! I do really like the styling, tough without being too clunky.

I want to love this shoe, as I only wear Dansko's, but this shoe is too narrow for me. I love the style of the shoe and arch support. Also, the shoes are very heavy.

This shoe is a little piece of awesomeness. Wearing it makes me feel like a pin up girl. I normally wear a 40 wide. Since this shoe doesn't come in wide I listened to some of the other reviewers and ordered a 41. It fits like a glove. So comfy (for heels) and has a cute arty look. As soon as they restock the black I will be getting that too.

Love these shoes! I'm a big fan of Dansko's I own multiple pairs, and I always order a size 40 (I'm a consistent size 9). They were a little stiff on the toes at first, but broke in with a few wears. They are sturdy and comfy yet still cute and stylish.

Love these shoes! They are cute and stylish. I wear them with jeans and dresses. Definitely a very versatile shoe. Dress them up or go a bit more casual. Comfort wise, A+! I went to a concert the other night and standing on my feet was a dream. I was so totally comfortable, no issues standing and jumping around for the 2.5 hours. And the added benefit of the extra 3+ inches gave me an extra boost looking over the crowd's heads. :-) I bought the brown and definitely thinking about picking up another pair in black.

Cutest Dansko in my opinion. Very comfortable yet stylish. I love the arch. I am a 7 normally and I tried both the 37 and 38 European sizes - you will want to go with the 38 (size up) the 37 was a bit tight.

A perfect heel for girls who can't wear heels! Great platform gives you height with out the instability. Clog like and a little hard to walk on, but a sole insert will probably help. The sizing with the newer Danskos has been inconsistent. I used to wear a 39 and got the 38 because they fit in length. The toe box is a little tight(and I have narrow feet) so I'm going to see if a cobbler can stretch them.

I was disappointed... these shoes are HEAVY! Because of the steel frame they don't flex at all so they are super clunky too... I expected a lot because they are Dansko, but they did not deliver. Returning them.

This may be the best pair of shoes ever. They are super comfortable right out of the box -- great arch support, great stability, not too heavy, no pinching or rubbing anywhere -- and they're extremely retro-sexy. So far I've only worn them to work, with a skirt and tights, but they'll also look great with jeans. In these as in most Danskos, I took a size smaller than their size chart would lead one to believe. I'm a 6, and took a 36, not a 37. But I do have slightly narrow feet -- if yours are wider, you may prefer to follow their guidelines. I hope Dansko continues to make these, and others like them, for years to come! I'm tempted to buy a second pair just so I can have them when these wear out.

These shoes rock. This is my first pair of Danskos, so I cannot compare them to the Professionals that everyone loves, but I really can't say enough about these. Definitely comfortable to wear all day; I am an elementary school teacher, and I wear them several times a week. They are super cute with skirts, dresses, skinny pants, and wide-legged suit pants--gorgeous, well-made, and kind of bad-ass with the studded strap around the back of the heel. I get compliments every time I wear them. They are spendy but I love them so much I am saving up to get them in brown too.
