GREAT SANDALS ALL AROUND - Just like any Birkenstock sandal, these are top notch. I found these on Zappos and I liked the price, when I was looking for some new sandals for this spring and summer. MUCH cheaper than the all around leather ones, but just as comfortable and durable. The soles are the same, the footbed is the same ((suede and everything)) the only difference is the upper which is made of Birko Flor which I like better than leather. It's better when it rains and doesn’t crack like leather. These will be great for years to come. My last pair lasted over a decade.. The fronts were crushed, the leather was almost off and the soles were worn 100% smooth. Birkenstocks are the best and I will wear these until they can't take anymore.. (about 10 years) A recommended alternative way to save money and still have great Birks. I got the brown, and it looks just like leather. And thanks Zappos for the FAAAST shipping

On the left shoe, the sole is separated from the cork on a section about an inch and a half long.

Great fitting shoe - This shoe is great! I completely wore out my old ones after 15 years (I did get them re-soled around year 10). My originals were a little big so I went one size smaller for these and was concerned when I put them on that they were to small but remember: Birks form to your foot; after a few days they fit my foot like a glove. I gave the shoe five stars for looks but remember, they are Birkenstocks; they'll always seem a little odd. But within the genre of this type of shoe they look great.

Birko-Flor's are a dream! This pair of shoes has been my best experience so far. I have a bad back and these have helped my pain as well as given my airy support. The straps are very comfortable and I'm glad to support non-leather uppers. Great-fantastic shoe! Would recommend to anyone.

Birkenstock Arizona (Birko-Flor)- This is the first time I have tried Birkenstock...I found that the shoes are comfortable... I have trouble finding shoes because of my wide (wwww size) feet. The regular size fit perfect for my feet. After a few days of wearing these shoes ...I found myself online to buy another pair... Thank you. Nina

Awesome sandal - Super comfortable shoe. It’s my first pair and I’m a complete convert. I ordered a half size larger and they fit perfectly. I wish they made a flip-flop style sandal. I’d be set!

These Birkenstocks are very comfortable and have a classic style. I can even walk 2 miles to work everyday in them. In addition the staff at Zappos was very helpful when I needed to return one pair and get a smaller size.

Birkenstock's Arizona (Birko-Flor™) size problem - I wear US men’s size 10 1/2 and used your size chart to order a size 43 (men’s 10-10 1/2 = 43) even though my old Birks were size 40. The 43's were at least 3/4 of an inch to long so I exchanged them for size 41 which fit better. The length is good but my feet slide forward with the straps as tight as they will get. After a little more break-in time I will probably need to punch an additional hole in the straps for a tighter fit. Zappos telephone tech support through all of this has been great and I would order from them again.

Shoe review - I was very pleased with the product and the help I received from Zappos (customer service) when I phoned regarding my order. Your service was fast and efficient. I was concerned about the width of the shoe and your sales person advised going with the narrow shoe and she was correct.

Freedom from socks - It took me a while to train my feet to wear Birkenstocks again. The arch support is pretty severe, but I am now used to it, and the shoes fit like a second skin. I could do with a higher heel.

Love my Birkenstocks - I ordered the Birkenstocks that were supposedly my size, but even though they were the "right" size they were too big. I called Zappos and was immediately sent the smaller size and info on sending back my too-big pair. It was amazingly simple! I love my Birkenstocks, but it does take a few days to get used to them. Plus, I've always had the leather before and decided to try the Birko-Flor this time. (I'm a vegetarian so try to avoid leather when possible.) My leather Birks lasted between 10 and 15 years, I had two pair I alternated. I'm happy with the Birko-Flor, they're comfortable, but I will admit to preferring the look and feel of the leather. This might be because I've worn leather versions for 20 years and am just used to the leather. And it does take awhile for the wearer to get their Birks "just right." The "fake" leather does clean up nicely, and after a couple of days the shoe feels great! Still, if you're an 8/39, you should probably order a 7/38. My old Birks were 38's but I'd worn off the size thru the year so wasn't sure. Again, great service from Zappos. I couldn't believe how easy it was to return/reorder! Thanks!
