After living in Chicago for 9 years and the mid-Atlantic for 6, I finally decided it was time to get myself some snow boots. Being a city-dweller, the thing I was looking for the most was traction, and waterproofness second. After looking at a lot of options on Zappos, like Merrells, I decided to try these. These looked as rugged as I could get but a lot more stylish than some of the others. I'm quite happy with my purchase. We've had several snows since I received them and some ice as well and they've kept me stable and dry through all of them. I chose the grey color because it seemed like they would disguise soiling the best, and I like the bright turquoise soles (it's like a hint of tropical waters at my feet in the midst of a blizzard). I normally wear a 10.5-11 and got these in an 11. They are very comfortable for my daily commutes when I'm wearing dress socks, and they work fine with light-weight trouser socks. They probably would be snug if I tried them with heavy socks--but I really can't imagine ever wanting to do that because the lining makes the boots quite warm (warm enough I think I would actually be bothered by them if I was a serious hiker). I'd never heard of this brand before and this was my first purchase. I am quite happy with them and would purchase again should I be in the need for more athletic footwear.

Great find! This shoe is sooo comfy and versatile, cute and even flattering. Lots of cushion underfoot. Cute with shorts, pants and skirts - that's tough to find! Only caviat, not for walking any distance - at least not without socks- as the foot moves around quite a bit causing a broad blister.

Cute shoe with rich looking details. Wanted them to work but the sole had my toes hanging over the side like"Man Overboard!" They just were not wide enough.

These boots are great! No break-in time, completely waterproof in snow. I have never ordered this brand before and fully intend to again.

Right away I liked the way these shoes looked on the Zappos web site, but what sold me were the reviewers who said that the toe-box has a little extra room, and that the shoe is well ventilated and padded. Now that I have the shoes I can confirm that all of these statements are true. But to add my own bit of detail, the arch support is provided by the cushion insert, so if you need a different level of support (or none at all) then you can replace the insert with something that's suitable to you.

Loved these as soon as I put them on. I bought them along with the Good Karma style because they were a little more whimsical without looking too juvenile. Wearing them all day right out of the box. Might get another pair.

These shoes are fairly comfortable out of the box, especially for dress shoes. The colors of the picture are true to the real thing.

When I received these, I was so excited to see how cute and soft the leather was. Unfortunately they were way too big. For me, I felt at least a size and a half. They probably would have been comfortable but too hard to tell with them being so large. Too bad, as they are super cute but sadly they are going back.

These are great shoes! Easy to slip on and offer a good deal of support. They run a little big and a little wide. Assuming the quality holds up over time, they are worth the price.

I love the look of this shoe, but sadly the comfort was not there for me. I have high arches and these shoes rubbed the top of my foot. The tongue seems short and it was not comfortable for me. The other issue with this shoe was the lacing...the metal grommets were slippery, making the shoe difficult to lace tightly. I really wanted this shoe to work for me because it is stylish and well made, but I had to return it.

Great boots! I got a 1/2 size larger, which seems to be the way with boots and sneakers anyway. Comfortable and they look really great! Very happy with their performance. Never heard of Ahnu before, but I am very glad that they are out there. I tried many other name brands and they just didn't make the cut.

Very comfortable! I have worn LL Bean and Sorels in the past and these are better than both of those. Love the color also. I am wearing these for winter hikes and snowshoeing and am more than satisfied. I didn't even have to break them in.

I have the wackiest and painful feet. These boots make the ache go away. Weird, like they hypnotize my feet. I want to wear them every day and not just for hiking. Love them. So well made.

Very stylish -- very cute, sorry they bother my persnickety feet. I have trouble with shoes that are stiff by the achilles/heel, and these rubbed me the wrong way, as it were. My heels are narrow and my forefoot relatively wide, and these were okay in both departments. They are very versatile stylishly speaking, so it's too bad they had to go back. A bit pricey, too.

Purchased these for my high school son. He really likes them and said they are comfortable. We live in Northern Michigan and have snow nearly 6 months of the year. These shoes work well going back and forth to school since he doesn't wear snow boots. The smooth leather has done a nice job of handling snow and salt and still look new after several weeks of wear.

These shoes look and feel very nice. Very well built. The only downside would be how easily they get scuffed. Nothing some buffing can't fix though. Very nice shoe and I hope to see Ahnu Harris make more kinds of shoes. It seems they are a good competitor for Clarks.

This is a great shoe straight out of the box. I bought two pairs last year. This model is more towards blue than charcoal black like I expected. But still a cute and comfortable shoe.

I worked in these boots for a year+ every day and love them. They are supportive, comfortable and had zero break in time. Love!

I ordered these because I needed some semi warm, waterproof boots to walk my dogs. I wanted them to be comfortable like gym shoes but rugged like boots. These work well and are very comfortable. My only issue is that they are very warm but in a bad way. They make my feet feel sweaty and clammy. They are better if I am outside in the cold walking in them tho. I don't notice it as much when I'm moving because I think the movement helps push air through the fabrics but if you are sitting indoors they are almost unbearable to keep on because of that cold clammy feel they produce. I'm not sure how anyone could wear these in the summer but I'll probably try come warmer weather. I also found that it is better after I put my own insole in them. Maybe the one that comes with them is not breathable or moisture absorbing. Just wish they were made better with higher grade materials considering the price. They are comfy, however, and do suit the purpose.

These are wonderful! I have other Ahnu boots, but for a casual look these are perfect. Surprisingly solid arch support for such a casual shoe. The look is retro, which I like. Most important, the toe box is roomy, and the overall shape is sleek, so it doesn't look like a dreaded "old lady walking shoe."
