I found these to be great! I originally bought a half size larger because of other reviews, but returned them for a size 9 which is what I normally wear. I used medium heavy hiking socks. They were super comfortable from the beginning.

Very comfortable, great support (love Ahnu!) Lightweight. Not sure how warm they would be, but they are insulated with Thermolite. I'm not keeping because I need a bit dressier all-purpose snow boot, but if I could have a sporty pair as well, I'd pick these.

True to size. Comfortable right out of the box, with or without socks. Ordered both the black and the green. Kept the green. Way more stylish. I thought the black was plain.

Love this little shoe! I was looking (again) for shoes for a trip to Australia and New Zealand. My feet are wide-ish and something always hurts, but these shoes were great! Comfortable without being clunky, yet still had enough support for a lot of walking. Took a day or two to break in, but they've been great ever since and did I mention they are cute? Perfect for traveling!

I have both the boot and shoe versions of this item. The shoe fits fine, the boot is narrower. Shoes could use some padding on top to minimize pressure from laces. Despite other reviews I've read, I doubt they will be warm enough for our cold, snowy winters.

Very cute! Ordered a 7 and was too tight...difficult to slide my foot into. Went to a 7.5 and it was better, but still not an easy-on kind of boot. The 7.5 allowed my heel to pull way up with each step I took. Bummer because they are really cute. Sort of fit like a tennis shoe in the toe area and in the couple of minutes I had them on inside, they felt like they would be very warm. So glad for free shipping/returns as I am having no luck finding boots around town. Here I go again, Zappos...bear with me!

When I first put these on, I was so pleased that they had arch support, felt light, and were wide enough for my wide forefoot and narrow heel. Plus it is hard to find shoes that are waterproof and wide. I wore them around the house just to make sure. Thrilled. BUT - then I took a walk outside. I don't know if I have a different stride outdoors or what, but the shoe has a bend right at the joint of my big toe and has been pressing into that joint - hard. Bummer! And now I've worn them outdoors, which means I can't return them. Hopefully this is just a breaking in issue.

I wanted to love these shoes, but I merely like them. I have narrow feet and think the 8.5 would have been too short yet the 9 feels a little big. I thought they were cute so I kept them and I wear them with socks.

I love this shoe except for one thing: it makes my feet sweat excessively. It is very surprising since the entire side of the shoe is open, with only the toes and heels being covered. I have these in the black full-grain leather; I wonder if that makes a difference? I am not normally a foot sweater at all. I have several other black leather ballet-style flats that aren't as comfortable but don't cause any foot sweating, even though they cover more of my foot. That being said, these have such a comfortable footbed, decent arch support (so hard to find in flats!), soft leather uppers that don't rub straight out of the box, and are super cute. People ask me where I got them almost every time that I wear them. I thought I had found the perfect casual flat for traveling! So close but so frustrating, because it isn't just a little bit of sweating, it's quite excessive. I've added an absorbent foot liner, but it's still a problem and prevents me from wearing them as much as I otherwise would. So weird for such an open shoe that you think would be super breathable! Has anyone else had this problem?

These are unfortunately going back. I have no idea how these are waterproof. The material is so thin on top but I didn't test them. I bought them to walk on the nature trail during winter and I just don't think they'll keep my feet warm enough or dry. There is also a gap between the tongue where snow may creep in as well. Overall they are comfortable and I would say adequate for more urban use - but not for winter hiking!

Just got my Ahnu boots delivered. Out of all of my winter boots, these are the most plain, and this is coming from a girl that lives in a cabin and splits wood. I had trouble pulling them up over the heel of my foot, due to the top elastic band. Once they were on and I walked around a bit in them, I realized that there was not much in the way of a supportive foot bed like my other winter boots. Because I have high arches and instep, thats not a big deal, but if you don't be warned. Also I have a slightly wider foot than average, and the medial toe box is slightly pinchy on the side of my big toe but I think it will stretch out over time. I took a good long hard look at these and decided to keep them. I cut the top elastic band and attached a small piece of black elastic band to where I cut them (medially) and it is barely noticeable. Especially because they are covered by the faux fur. They now slide on and off easily, just the way they ought to be. Time to fell some trees!

I tried these shoes because I wanted something for every day / light hiking other than sneakers. Based on previous experience with Ahnu, I tried both 10 (my usual size) and 10 1/2. The 10 1/2 fit best, as expected. Width is great, even after the addition of a thicker sock. My heel did not slip, which is a common problem for me. I have concerns about my ankle bones contact the top of the shoe in spite of the cutouts. Could be resolved with a more substantial insert (the one it comes with is just a liner, offers no additional support). I also have a concern about the amount of flex and give under the forefoot + my high arch. It feels like it might break down too fast and aggravate plantar fascia. Again, could be resolved with a more substantial insert with extra support there. I got them in Nightshade, which is a great purple color.

These boots might actually be the best pair of shoes that I have ever owned. I live in Boston and the winter are long and cold and wet and these boots stand up to all of that. I've worn mine for the last year and a half and during the winter I wear them almost full time, that's more than 5 continuous months of everyday wear and tear and these shows still look great! They're also super comfortable, I hardly had to break them in at all and they look cute enough to wear with my everyday college wardrobe (I own them in black). The mint colored accents are a really cute touch and I feel like they keep the shoe feminine which is sometimes not really an option when you're talking about hiking boots. I've worn them for hours at a time, both while walking and hiking and I've never gotten a blister. I usually pair them with a lightweight wool sock, but I've also worn them with gym socks and they still fit fine. These boots are a breeze to clean, I wore them while volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in the early spring and there was a lot of mud involved. I was worried that I would have to sacrifice the shoes to the cause, but when I got home I found that the mud wiped right off with a damp washcloth. Honestly I can't say enough good things about these shows, I'm genuinely considering buying a second pair just because I love them so much! Would 100% recommend them.

Good sporty casual shoe. Super comfortable and cute. Runs large. I'm normally an 11 and needed a 10.5 in these. My only complaint is that they don't breathe well and get pretty stinky after only a few wearings. I don't have this problem with other flats I wear with bare feet. Fortunately, the insoles are removable and I've had good luck just tossing them in the washer every now and then.

Well, when there are no reviews you never know. I LOVE this boot, however, I wear a 9 and ordered a 9 and my toes are right up against the front of the boot. With the insole pulled out it fits fine but I want that in for comfort and warmth. Need to go re-order. I hope Zappos isn't hating me with all the orders and returns lately.

These shoes are very pretty and comfortable. I have high arches, and had to add a little extra insert, but not as much as usual. So there is moderate support. The color is true to the picture. I normally wear a 7, although I sometimes take a 6.5. I needed a 6.5 in this shoe, possibly could have worn a six if worn with nylons or no socks.

I love these shoes. They're super cute, super comfy. I was very nervous about potential odors, but you can wash the soles out super easy if they start to be a little smelly, and they're good as new!

I wanted to see if they are really waterproof. Did a short mile walk in the pouring rain, my feet are warm and my socks are dry, wish I could say that for the rest of me. Plus they are super cute.

When it comes to shoes I'm all about comfort first and if they are stylish too, then that's a plus. These shoes are so comfortable and I have gotten many compliments on them too. They are really cute with jeans and I think would be great with tights and a skirt too. And again, comfortable. I have several pairs of Ahnu shoes and they are all true to size, comfortable and well made.

Took them hiking in Texas State Parks up and down rocks. They are unbelievable, lightweight, fun, cute, supportive, just wonderful. I sized up one half size and it was perfect. I had gotten the Air Mesh version but when I discovered that this one is actually lighter, went for it. I did like them better. The black with pale blue is precious. These are now my walking, hiking shoes and super. Go for it!
