Overall:

These are great shoes. I just took them to Italy for 3 weeks and needed no break-in period. They were comfortable from the start. This is the second pair from this brand that I have ordered and will definitely be back for more. My only wish would that the shoe strings were a little thicker. I found them to be a little difficult to tie.

These shoes fit great, are light and comfortable. I can see that the mesh might not stand up to extended rough treatment, but I won't wear them every day.

I owned two pairs of Ahnu Benecia before recently purchasing the Ahnu Benecia Leather. I really loved them and wore them for a year. I also recently purchased the Kick. Both turned out to be very big disappointments. I knew my size (they run a half size smaller) and they fit the same as my old pairs, however, after a week of wearing, the buckle I loved kept loosening. It started as a nuisance but after a few more days became a safety hazard. Walking and driving would cause the strap to loosen so much the shoes would fall off. After two weeks, it was evident they were no longer wearable. I guess they changed manufacturers and/or components. Bottom line, until the buckle is changed, do not buy the Ahnu Benecia or Ahnu Kick or you will wind up returning them. I love the style and comfort, but the buckle is so bad I have to give this version one star. I would give it a zero if that was an option.

Overall:

I wore these shoes to Costa Rica for some walking, no climbing up steep, muddy hills, but the grip on them looks promising. I was worried there would be some blistering from the various contact points, but I didn\'t really have a problem with them. They\'re nice and light and don\'t weigh my feet down.

Waterproof shoes are necessary for about 1/3 of the year around here and these shoes fill the bill very comfortably. And there is no better service on this earth than Zappos. These people are the very best.

I bought these shoes for my winter walking and they are fabulous. They fit right out of the box, and now I wear them pretty much all day even though winter is not here, yet. They have wonderful support and so far, are wearing very well. And congratulations to Zappos who got the shoes here in what seemed like minutes!

I purchased 4 pairs of shoes from Zappos before my holiday to Europe. I wanted some all-purpose walking shoes that were not sneakers.\r\n\r\nOf the 4 I bought, I decided on the Ahnu Laney. Although, I had to insert a "Superfeet" arch support under the factory insole. \r\n\r\nI had to use BOTH the insole & arch support. One or the other did not support my arches. \r\n\r\nI brought 1 pair of shoes to Europe - the Ahnu Laney.

These shoes are as cute as they look in the picture. But, the buckle does not stay put. It loosens up and I feel like my shoes are untied. It feels one size smaller than the size marked.

The shoes are very comfortable and have great arch support, but the little strap that's supposed to secure the shoe on your foot always slides open, making the shoe slide back and forth on your foot, rub, and cause blisters.

Love these shoes. Some people say that they are small, but I actually went down a 1/2 size (partly because the first pair I bought was on sale, but they fit, so I bought the second pair in the same size!). They do loosen during the day, but it's easy to pull the tab on the shoes without creating too much attention. Enjoy!

These boots are the most padded out of any that I have tried, a really excellent cushioned footbed. I love the plaid, and they would be great as a rainy day boot. Unfortunately, I have high arches, and the 'height' of the boot from sole to top of foot is a bit short for me, and thus I have to send them back. On the same thread, they would not accommodate orthotics well. In terms of length, they fit true to size in my opinion. They are also very toasty and thus your feet might get a little damp.

True to size and very comfortable right out of the box. I bought these to wear when I travel and walk alot. I needed shoes that could go from sightseeing to a casual evening and these work perfectly. Nice support and cushioning.

I bought the Ahnu sneakers about a month ago and I love them! They\'re easy to put on, very stylish with jeans or sweat pants and extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for stylish AND comfortable everyday sneakers.

I have the same complaint as I had last year. I ordered a new pair, thinking that the problem has been solved in the new line. This shoe does not stay closed. The original line had no problem three years ago, but last year's, and this year's model have a ribbon, or clatch, that continually loosens up. I had contacted the manufacturer, and they said that they were aware of the problem and that the new line would resolve it, but alas, I have continually loosening shoes! I am so disappointed!

I was looking for an all around shoe to work in both casual and daily routine settings. These are very comfortable, lightweight and very pleasing on the eye. The minute I pulled them from the box I was impressed by how they looked. The fabric inside is durable and lets the feet breathe, feel relaxed yet gives the snug feeling that would encourage you to run and play. Super lightweight and very supporting in the arch. I could wear these every day to a multitude of events. If you're looking for a shoe that has style yet is not pretentious and overbearing, this is the one. I've had them for about a month and so far I'm stoked!

I am a PE teacher and these shoes have been awesome. Immediately comfortable, sized perfectly, and they keep my feet dry on mornings when the playing fields are wet. To top it off, students have given me complements on the style of these shoes. Another plus is that these shoes "recover" nicely from being wet.

Super cute and comfy, but not true to size. I ordered my size, but my toes hit the end so ended up ordering 1/2 size larger. The strap comes loose after a little while I’m always tightening them, but I’ll deal because I have large feet (10 1/2) and these don’t make them look like boats.

These sneakers are by far the nicest looking pair that I have ever had. I\'ve gotten quite a few complements on them. They fit true to size and there is plenty of room in the toe area. I have a problem with my metatarsal bones though and wear orthotics. I had some pain in the ball of my foot so I put the original insole and the orthotic in the sneaker together and that feels better. I am not impressed with the original insole. I recommend a Spenco or other comparable insole to be used with these sneakers. I probably shouldn\'t be using the original insole with the orthotic and need to look for an insole without any arch support to wear with the orthotic. I do recommend these sneakers.

I received these boots today as always with the great Zappos service. I ordered 2 sizes since unfamiliar with this brand and I chose wisely. I normally wear a 7.5 dress shoe and needed an 8 in this boot. I think some feet would need a full size bigger especially if wearing thick socks. I have narrow feet and my heels slip a little bit. They are comfortable, warm, cute and on my list as a keeper.

This is a great comfortable walking shoe. I wore these on long walks around southwestern France on my honeymoon and never had sore feet. They are light and cushy and fit me perfectly. Not dressy but cute enough.
