I bought these for rainy day runs and they do not disappoint. At the end of a six mile run, my feet felt great and the shoes did not feel any heavier at the end of the run.

I got these as soon as they came out! I have had the speed force for several months and love them, but I wanted something more stop on, and that would work for my upcoming trip to Cancun, where I plan to do a lot of walking and water-based tours. I have been wearing them on walks with my kids, just to make sure they would work before traveling with them. At first I was having some pain, but after I took the removable insoles out, they have been fantastic! I love that I can take the insoles out, even though they are thin and it SEEMS like it wouldnt make any difference, it absolutely did for me. So excited to stable and explore with these!

My husband and I both tried out the new water shoes as a free sample before they were released. Because we live in Michigan, testing out water shoes in February was going to be difficult!
I love wearing inside shoes or slippers to keep my feet warm all the time, so I decided to start wearing the water shoes as inside shoes. With socks, they actually absolutely added warmth to my feet and felt so comfortable sometimes I forgot I was wearing them.
I'm a huge fan of multipurpose items, so I'm very happy to report that the water shoes do well (not just well, fabulously!) as indoor shoes, and I'm planning to wear them as my normal tennis shoes all summer long.
The flexible sole and zero rise heel-to-toe means that my posture isn't impacted by poor footwear, and as a busy Mom I love that they're so easy to get on and off.
I also got to test them on some rocky hikes over a number of miles, and they held up really well. I felt supported and also loved that I could feel the ground through the shoes so I knew what I was dealing with when rocks would shift.
if you are someone who wears slippers, I'd definitely recommend wearing these shoes instead, because when I got home I tweaked my knee walking across the kitchen in slippers! I think it's because slippers aren't secure and I ultimately work harder to keep them on then when wearing minimalist shoes.
The water shoes are fabulous, and not one negative things to say about them.

I really like these shoes but the tongue rubs against the top of my foot/ankle too much so I’m returning.

I was so excited to get these! I have 3 other pairs of Xero shoes and I love them! The Aqua X Sport fit well and they were comfortable as long as I wore socks. When I wore them as water shoes (no socks), they ripped the skin off the tops my right three toes. I was so sad! It might just be my specific anatomy, but I was unable to wear them. The hero here was Zappos; I contacted them about this issue and they immediately agreed to accept them back for a full refund, which they did. I’m still looking for water shoes and I will definitely buy them from Zappos.

These shoes feel really good - no blisters - and have great traction on dirt/rocky trails. Ive had some problems slipping on wet rocks, but overall a great shoe!

The toe box is fantastic for wider feet but it was too narrow from the toes back to the heel. I couldn't get them on my feet. I ended up buying the mens version which had more room throughout. I did have to replace the elastic laces bc the ones on them did not loosen up as long as I wanted. They were an easy swap out and you had replacement laces on your website to buy.

Got one shoe caught on something that ripped a small hole in the mesh upper so I had to sew the hole up. It would have only scratched a sturdier upper material.

Ordered 1/2 size smaller than my other Xero shoes due to not using socks with these. Turned out to be a good call. There was a breaking in period where I was worried these werent going to work out, I walk just over a half mile to and from the local swimming pool 4-6 times a week, there was a tender spot on the top of my right foot, but after the 1st week they were perfectly comfortable. I wear them on the deck while I teach swim lessons. I leave them on even if I have to get in and demonstrate something. I also use these paddle boarding. Highly recommend for anyone who spends time getting in and out of the water on a regular basis.

Got these shoes for easy hikes and days on the boat or in kayaks and they are perfect for it. They are much more comfortable than my other water shoes.

These are great. Theyre super lightweight and flexible. They drain quickly and dry quickly too. I can wear them with or without socks. Ive used them as a lightweight hiking shoes and also been swimming while wearing them.

The laces were too short making the shoe too tight. I removed the toggles and tied knots in the ends of the laces then they were comfy. Haven't taken them in the water yet but seem like they will be good.

I love these shoes the most visually (i bought the color surf) out of the xero shoes that I have purchased (the hfs and prio) however they feel more narrow than the other xero shoes that I have especially around the joint at the base of the big toe but its not so bad to where I wouldn't wear them because of it. I actually really love how they make my feet look and feel, but I will say there was a rough piece of stitching on the inside of the shoes near the toe that i had to snip out with little nail scissors and they didn't rub at all after that and having the elastic laces was a big plus to me because i absolutely hate normal laces so all in all they're a fantastic shoe for pretty much anything.

A mixed bag of oddities. I sized up 1/2 size. Length-wise, this helps. For those with narrow feet, this does NOT help. The toe area has fabric that is all puckered weird. Like sewn all crooked with too much material. Maybe a wider foot would not cause this issue. Even though I have a narrow and thin foot, the tongue definitely cuts on foot area beneath ankle (FRONT of ankle).

I had to order up a 1/2 size to get a comfortable fit (from 6.5 to 7). They are comfortable. No blisters or rubbing. But I would have expected more traction, they filled easily with sand (which was then hard to rinse out), and they didn’t dry quickly so they ended up smelling. Pros: Very lightweight and generally comfortable. Cons: not great traction and ended up being smelly.

I would love to be able to review this newest pair of Xero shoes but theyve been lost for almost two months and so far customer service hasnt been helpful in addressing the fact that they were accidentally shipped to Germany instead of Canada. Hoping very much Xero customer service can pick up their game.

I wanted to love these shoes. I still want to love these shoes. They run small so they were a bit tight by my little toe. (I wear a 7 or 7.5 so went with a 7.5.) So I figured I'd wear them with no socks and it would be okay. (Read lots of reviews of people doing this with no issues.) I was wrong. They gave me blisters on the ball of my foot, under big toes on both sides and on my little toe. I'll go back to my joomra minimal shoes for now. They aren't as nice looking and take forever to dry out but they've never hurt my feet. Since I can't return now that I've wore them out (again... really wanted to love these shoes). Maybe I'll look at trying a size up (8) someday.

In many respects these shoes are great for water .... except for the fact bare feet work better on wet rock. I wore these shoes for whitewater kayaking and discovered these shoes were too slippery on wet rock for scouting. The bruises from the falls are impressive. The upper part of the shoe is good. The traction on wet rock is horrible.

Poor design - miserable for beach trips! Supposed to keep crap out ofthe shoes - mesh is too large and the water shoes let tons of sand in. Made for some very, very painful times on a coarse sand beach.

I was thrilled to try on the shoes, loved the look of them, excited to wear them nonstop on an upcoming ten-day trip to Galapagos, hiking, trekking. I cannot describe my disappointment when--before taking the first step in them--one of the little plastic tabs used to loosen/tighten laces came unglued and fell on the floor. What a crappy product!

***Do not order directly from Xero shoes or youll end up paying $15 to try on a pair if you dont like them.*** And then, they take 10 business days to return your money (minus $9.99 shipping and whatever additional $5.49 fee they decided to deduct). I tried them on in my living room for less than two minutes before carefully re-wrapping them just as they came.
They sell them at REI now. If you can buy through them, youd be wise to do so. Their return policy and customer service is second to none.
If you do purchase, things to note from instant observation and not from daily use:
1. They run very small. Im a womens 6.5-7. In these shoes Im a 7.5-8. I ordered a 7 and my feet were jammed into the toe of the shoe.
2. The material in the Aqua X shoe is very rough and walking or running in it wouldve resulted in blisters and/or abrasions very quickly. I wanted them off of my feet as soon as I put them on.
I was considering trying other shoe model options but after the all around poor experience, Im out.
