Love these shorts! But I wanted to write a review for those of you who purchase online because the fabric has less stretch than the Callahan and Buttercup shorts and overall, they seem to run small. I prefer a snug fit, particularly because in shorts and pants the hips always seem to always fit well on me, but the waistband is usually too big regardless of the brand so I size down one size to make sure the waistband fits. I normally wear a size 2 in most brands including Lilly, but with these I really did need that 4. I tried the 2 on and yes, I was able to button them, but they fit noticeably tighter than other styles. According to the size chart I am a 4. Hope this helps somebody!

Loved the white shorts but when I washed the gold colored pockets faded through and customer service wouldnt return since they were worn. Very disappointed that company does not back there products for defects after washing or worn.

I bought these shorts in black last summer and was so excited to see white and navy! They fit true to size. The legs are not tight and they are the perfect length, not too short! The waist is not too big ( sometimes I have a gap in the back of high rise pants). I only buy the high rise shorts and pants. Please make more solid colors: pink and true red (not orange/red, pink/red, or coral) please!

I absolutely love the fit of these shorts. I purchased in navy and white. Im a new member of the 60s Club so finding a short with greater than 2-3 inseam is challenging. These are PERFECTLY suited to my age and a classy basic to have in the closet. Please dont discontinue this one!

These shorts are so cute and a great length too! However, they do run small but with some stretch. I typically wear 10s in Callahans, Jaynes, and Buttercups and these are definitely snug in a size 12. Still keeping bc the print is fab!!

The Palm Beach toile is gorgeous and the shorts are gorgeous but I think they took all of the too big reviews too far because these shorts are a good two sizes smaller than the buttercup shorts that I just received as well. My Callahan size 14s fall off of me. This size 14 I cant even come close to buttoning.

This was bought a month ago. I usually get 00 size and it fits perfectly. However, this runs large in that size.

The fit on these is the best of any Lilly shorts Ive bought. Im tiny so the waist in many bottoms is usually a bit too loose but these fit like a glove. Length nice as not too short. Keep making this style!

I sized up from a 6 to an 8 and they fit but the waist fabric inside the shorts bothers my abdomen (I had a an intestinal resection and anything touching the scar hurts after 8 months) So I am returning. If I ordered size larger it would like I was wearing a paper bags. I gave the product 5 stars b/c they look super cute for fall in Florida, especially with an Elsa top. I wish they came mid- waist. They do run small so I am putting 'runs small' b/c I did have to size up.

I love these shorts. I was worried they would fit like the high rise Callahan shorts made last year, but the leg is a little more loose like the buttercup shorts. The length is not too short but short enough to look in style for those of us who do not want to look like teenagers! Please make more solid colors!

Bought these shorts last month for a cruise and the fit is perfect and the print fantastic (Aegean Navy Calypso Coast). I like the fit so much, I bought it in other prints! South Florida is hot all year round and these shorts can be dressed up or down. I am 56, 133 lbs and I ordered a size 4, which is my regular size on Lilly shorts.

The material is very nice in the Gretchen shorts. Stretchy and a nice weight.

These shorts are a perfect fit. I love they are higher waisted and still long enough. The material is comfortable to wear all day, just a little stretch but they hold up and dont get wrinkled after a long day of wearing!

Great pattern. I find that the Gretchen shorts run a little snug so I size up. Love the color!

We wear Short Shorts. Everybody wears short shorts

Different short. The cut and size is not what I am used to in Lilly. Not sure I will buy more of this style

These shorts are the best ever! Very flattering on and the material is wonderful. I feel it wont stretch out like the buttercup shorts do. Runs true to size.
