Cascadias have been my go-to trail hiking shoes for many years. Pros for the 18: Better cushioning; fairly wide toe box; great traction and stability; and the outer fabric, toe cap, and rand appear to be durable. Cons: Tongue is thin and a little short (if you use the upper lace-holes to get a snugger fit, you might feel lace pressure through the tongue if you're wearing thin socks); and although the toe box is wide enough, it could be a little taller to accommodate hiking socks or custom insoles. The multi-colored outsole is kind of fun, but makes it harder to see if you've stepped on something you'd rather not track into your vehicle or abode.

Nice looking, but didn't fit like the pair of Brooks Adrenaline gts 22's that are on my feet now. I found the Cascadia 18's to be unusually short in length & very stiff. I'm returning these.

Love my glycerins for the road so I thought I’d try a Brooks trail shoe. Very happy with the fit and feel. They are more comfortable than saucony peregrines and not too narrow like salomons.

Owning these Brooks Cascadia 18s has been my go to for running in my indoor gym that has a track. They fit snug around my ankles which i love! It makes me feel safe while running. The inside soles are comfortable and I can wear these shoes all day without any discomfort. I love the aesthetics of these Cascadia 18s as they are not regular boring running shoes. The colors go well with each other. The bottom of the soles are my favorite. Brooks did a fantastic job in creating these shoes. The bottoms grip well and I love how they have ridges to grip on the track. These are wonderful gym shoes and running shoes. I use these everyday and have zero complaints!!! Im very active and struggle to find a good shoe for running and for the gym. These have been a Hail Mary for me!

I have had several Brooks of different styles. They are durable and comfortable for my plantar fasciitis and heel spur. These are really nice. Feel like I’m walking on a cloud. I did order a half size up and they fit fantastic.

I was looking for some traction on steep gravelly/rocky trails now that the ground is drying out. I couldn't be happier with these shoes! They give me the confidence that my feet won't slip out from under me on steep terrain. I love Brooks shoes so I'm glad i gave these a try!

I recently purchased my hiking Brooks and have to say thanks to them, my hiking has been awesome. I am a long time Brooks fan, but this is my first pair of hiking sneakers. They are a must in your Brooks collection. They fit perfectly, are comfortable, and the grip on the bottom is great.

When the Adrenaline trail shoe was discontinued, it was a disappointment. After trying other brands, I decided to give Cascade a try. I am really happy with these shoes overall and they are a great trail shoe. My only complaint is the limited colors in wide width.

I tried these hoping they would work for my 7 1/2 WW feet. Sadly, they are a true D width. Great shoes, sorry to send them back.

This show is my favorite. I walk on a dirt road and the sole is just the right amount of protection. The toe box is wide enough but not too wide, and my normal size is a perfect fit. A+ on this shoe!

Cascadia are my favorite of all the Brooks designs. They are amazing on trails or for everyday if you want to or need to pick a shoe for and "all day" kinda thing. They literally feel like gloves on your feet and perform so well!!!!

Fit very similar to my Ghosts. Opted to return for a Gore Tex option but did like these and they fit well.

Love these for hiking so far! I have joint pain from old injuries & the cushioning is perfect for preventing inflammation. For size reference, based on other reviews I went up 1/2 a size from my normal Brooks and that was perfect. I wear a 7.5W and got the 8W. Definitely recommend doing so, I think had I gotten my regular size it would've been too small.

I never write reviews, but as I was hiking the Inca trail to the top of Machu Picchu Mountain, I told my husband I was DEFINITELY going to write one after that experience! WOW AMAZING. It rained a lot on our trip to see Machu Picchu and hiking the wet, slippery, cobble stone Inca trail I had an amazing grip. I'm very clumsy and don't fall once. I've always worn Brooks because I suffer with scoliosis pain and bad knees and I find this brand to be the best for me. So naturally when I needed a waterproof hiking shoe for my trip- I was VERY excited to see that Brooks offers exactly what I was looking for. Not to mention the off white color is chic and went with all of my outfits without looking too dorky. I do wish I went up half a size. I'm a true 7 and although it was fine when you're hiking it's nice to have a little room for when you go down hill. These were also very easy to clean. I used baking soda and white vinegar to scrub them and washed them in the washing machine. Brand new!!!! Fashionista hikers that don't want wet feet or to slip and still want to look amazing with all your beige this is it baby! You're welcome.

I have been wearing cascadia for 10 yrs and absolutely love this model - it fits perfectly, is lighter weight than previous model years and much easier to get off and on plus insert/remove my custom orthotics. It is absolutely the best !!! I may purchase another pair of exact same model.

I am not a runner but I use these shoes for hiking on rocky dry Southern California trails, and they work great for me. These shoes are very grippy on rocks and sand, and they make me nimble and confident on the trail. No rubbing anywhere, no blisters, very lightweight comfy good looking shoes.

This is my first pair of trail runners. I have historically gone with boots but wanted something for lighter hikes. These are lightweight and firm but also comfortable. I usually wear a stability shoe and these feel pretty close to my GTS shoes. I'm usually a size 11.5 and that's what I went with in the Cascadia 18s.

Feel like you're walking on air! Plus size girlie trying to get back into shape and have issues with my right knee. i wore these and didn't have to break in anything, my feet were not swollen. i have minimal knees pain when walking the trail, which is expected as I have put I weight and haven't exercised much. I ordered my boyfriend a pair and I am about to order some for my sister and kidd because these are a game changer!!! Not that I need an excuse to buy myself more shoes but I do need them in another color ladies looking to be more active, run and buydon't walk-in this case

Shoes are so personal, these fit me great. I've had Brooks before and ordered the same size, thankfully they fit the same. Room enough in the toe box, grip just right for my narrow heel. I might just purchase a second pair. When you find something that fits and feels good , buy two.

Bought these to hike while at a health and wellness resort in Mexico! They were great! Didn't need to break them in, no foot pain or blisters! So glad I made the investment!

I skipped a few model numbers but I'm not a fan of this year's. The laces never seem to stay tied which makes the shoe loosen over time of wear. I used to feel much more secure in this style. They're not terrible now that I've worn them a few times though.
