Baggy and comfortable. Love the blue color. Ordered size 4- reg. Usually I'm a 6. The petite were a little too short for me.

It's not often that I buy something online and can say it is perfect! These pants are: the fabric has some weight (not flimsy); the color is as pictured; and most importantly it fit well through the waist and the hips and the legs are perfect for this newer style - neither too tight nor too floppy.

So flattering. Iconic design. I'm 5'6, athletic but also a mom. I love this pant. Ordering more.

I love these pants! These aren't aggressively barrel-y: more straight-legged with a bit of a tapered look, roomy in the thighs/hips and more fitted through the waist (they are very high-waisted. They are stylish and feel like they'll hold up for a long time. One note of caution - I am 5'4" and inexplicably had to purchase the M/T size, so possibly keep that in mind unless you're looking for a super cropped look.

These pants have replaced the stretch cargo as my favorites. They are so comfortable! The high waist is not at all binding. The deep pockets are super useful. The thick material feels perfect for fall and winter. Rugged looking yet as comfortable as lounge wear. Please make them in more colors!

I love these pants. I got the indigo and love the dark blue color. The pants are very comfortable with minimal shrink after cold wash and normal dry. I was afraid the length might shrink up after wash and dry, but that was not a problem. I usually wear a size 6, which I ordered and they fit perfect.

I love these pants! I wasn't sure what to expect but found these pants both comfortable and flattering. I bought both 4 and 6 MT and kept the 4 MT in both colors. Would buy another color if available!

I didn't plan that these would be garden pants when I bought them but they are. I wasn't sure what to expect. The fabric is heavy duty and will likely take years of abuse. I am a consistent LL Bean size 10 in pants and that is what I bought, also in the medium tall because I like pants longer than ankle. Fit is generous in hips and thighs but the size 10 is still correct. The waist accommodates shirt tucked in without being tight. There is no back waist gap with shirt not tucked in. They shrank a little under an inch in length after cold wash and hot dry. Size a little smaller after laundry but not significantly and not enough to think about sizing up. The pockets are deep and useful, front and back. They lay smooth and do not gap. The ankle width of the "barrel leg" cut is not as small as the mom jean look but more like a fuller straight leg. They will get a lot of heavy use.

Beautiful fabric. A nice thickness but silky feel. Unfortunately, they were too fitted around the waist. I was looking for something a bit more drapey. Try them for sure, they make work for your body type. Great return policy if they arent perfect.

I bought the olive and love them so I got a pair of the indigo in the same size and it felt one whole size smaller! Not sure what is going on but I'll buy the next size up in the indigo and give them a try. A little frustrating but inconsistency in sizing seems to happen a lot these days. Luckily our local store kindly took the return with no problem.

Quality of the fabric, construction of these pant were up to the old LL Bean standards we all once expected. Unfortunately, the very small waist with roomy hips and thighs is meant for a slim, straight figure. I have a curvy figure and wear a size 10 in Bean's Signature Skinny jeans, but a size 10 in these were uncomfortably tight.

I was uncomfortable in this cut. The fabric and design are very good but not the fit for me. I think the leg combined with high waist does not flatter me.

I loved these pants when new and after washing. They don't shrink; I wish they would. They have easily grown a half to full size while wearing after now more than a couple of hours. They wash and dry beautifully, I just wish they didn't change sizes so dramatically.

I love these pants, but they must be ironed to look their best. LL Bean, would you do this to a man?

Too short, too tight at the waist. They looked better in the catalog.

These pants are nice, though overpriced in my opinion. I am grateful to find a high waist in another style besides jeans or the Bean Bayside, so I do like the waist and the style of pockets. I ordered size 4 in Medium Tall because I need a 29-inch inseam, and the Medium Tall is a 30-inch inseam, whereas the Regular is a 28-inch inseam, so I can hem by one inch. I had to inquire from customer service about the inseam lengths because the product description does not state the lengths (oversight?). Only two complaints: first, the color olive appears, on my monitor, very appealing, but in reality is a flat, drab "army" green with a blue undertone. Second, the fabric feels more polyester than cotton, though cotton is stated as the dominant percentage. Regardless, I am keeping the pants, though I have ordered the size 2 in order to return either the 4 or the 2.

The fit was bad. I normally wear a 12, but I ordered a 14 and they did not fit. Too small. I had to return them.

I bought a pair in the olive color, which I washed in cold water with gentle detergent and then line dried. A strange rusty color came through in patches when dry. I returned them and tried again, but it happened with the second pair as well. It's a shame because I love the fabric, styling and fit.

I really like the color, and material but it's way too high-waisted which means the crotch is comically long and the way it hits at the waist makes it billow out unattractively when I sit. Sadly returning.

I loved these when I first purchased them but when I finally got around to washing them they shrunk! I had appreciated that they were a little more looser fitting but still flattering on my petite frame with a narrow waist and full thighs. I got so many compliments on the olive color that I ordered the same size in the blue (which were returned due to being a whole size smaller it seemed). So sad I had to return the olive color too but for the high price I couldn't justify keeping them. (I tried the Perfect Fit straight leg pants in petite recently though and really like them.)

These work as not-jeans and fit and wash well. I will be ordering these in another color.

So few pants - and usually the least stylish ones - are offered in extended sizes.
