This is my 5th pair of Salomon Pulsar trail pro, what can I say, I'm a shameless Salomonaholic! I am not a hiker or a jogger but I wear the Pulsar trail pro sneakers pretty much for my day to day outdoor activities, errands etc. These shoes are incredibly comfortable with a wide toe-box and outstanding cushioning.

I loved version 1 so bought version 2... however, I struggle to get my foot into the shoe opening!!!! Seriously, almost five minutes of trying to get my skinny foot in, but once in the shoe fits fine. I also cannot fit the lacing into the pouch. I have to assume this particular shoe off the line was an error. Once on I love the shoe, but getting it on is a completely different issue. Never had this problem with a Salomon shoe.

I bought the first iteration of the Pulsar Trail Pro not really knowing what to expect. They soon became my go to bouncer for everyday wear and the same applies here. I'm mostly running non-technical grassland and trails and they excel on this terrain. They're nothing like the S/Lab Pulsar, which I also love, so I think Salomon have a naming issue. And I don't find them hard to put on or too tight across the toe box. Anyone who has come to this shoe via S/Lab Ultras etc. will be familiar with the gator/quicklace arrangement. A very user-friendly shoe.

Sock cuff felt super tight and didn't feel great just trying them on but after running in them I didn't notice it at all and actually like how locked in they feel. Nice bouce when running, only have about 35k so far and no complaints

It took me a few runs to get used to them. On my first run I did 20km, which was a mistake, and got blisters at the heel. Over a week I did a few small runs and by the second week the shoes were perfect. I got them for the up coming race. The shoe is very light and fits like a sock. You don't really need to tighten it at all.

I love this shoe as someone who walks in an urban environment each day. It stands up to the street wear.

Very snug fit like a sock. Very light. Grip not the best on damp surfaces. Price drop of 30% 2 weeks later is a kicker though

I was first introduced to Salomon approximately 6 years ago and I never turned back, The Pulsar Trail Pro 2 has taken it to another level . It's feels as if I am walking on air. Definitely the most comfortable pair of shoes I own . Long Range days are a breeze .

Salomon trail shoes are unique and typically pretty comfortable. The trail PRO 2, however, is remarkable in that you actually forget your feet. I have lived a life with chronic foot problems requiring the purchase of way more shoes than a normal person should have to buy. I am always thinking of and feeling my feet during runs, from 5k trail runs to marathons road runs. When I finished my first 8k trail run with the PRO 2s, I came upon a startling revelation--it was the first time I actually forgot my feet and simply enjoyed powering through the desert.

This is my second Salomon trail running shoes. It's really nice and comfortable on
trail. I tried size 10 before, it's perfect for my foot but this one fits little bit bigger than previous one in same 10 size. But it's light, soft, feeling good.

I bought this almost a year ago for spartan races. So far they have been through multiple training trails, a spartan ultrafecta (North Carolina 2023), and a trifecta (Indiana perfect slopes 2023) if you want to see conditions just YouTube the races. Indiana was crazy. These shoes have been submerged (good drainage) caked in mud, and the only time I fell in them is cause I was getting a bit careless and took a small tree stump to the toe. There isn't much toe protection but that wouldn't have prevented me from flipping and landing flat on my back either way. All in all I am extremely happy with these shoes and don't plan on changing shoes.

I am a huge fan of the Salomon Pulsar trail pro, this is my 4th pair. I purchased the other 3 from another store and was pleasantly surprised to find this blue colour in the mens section. I was able to purchase my size (womens US 8.5) in mens US 7.5, the size chart provided here is pretty accurate, I just checked the European size measurement that was similar in both mens and womens size that matched my current shoes. The Pulsar trail pro is incredibly comfortable with a roomy toe box. I am not a trail hiker or a runner but I bought these for day to day outdoor activities. I will purchase more in other colours when they are available amd on sale :)

Version one of this shoe has been my absolute favorite all around shoe and version 2 is the same great feel. Small changes to the upper make it slightly better, but overall it's really similar, which in this case, is a very good thing. This is a true mid/fore foot runners shoe. It is made for landing efficiently on your mid/fore foot and excels at keeping you up on your toes and propelling you forward. It's fun, nimble, and a super comfortable upper that fits my foot great.
It's not made for super technical terrain or side hilling with the built in plate but it does surprisingly well on technical terrain that I thought would feel very clunky on. But it really excels on smooth terrain, cruising through the forest or desert on singletrack and doubletrack.
This shoe continues to be my main daily trainer.

The only downside with these is that they are incredibly hard to get on and off.
I have to use a shoehorn and it's still very difficult!
After battling to get them on they are very comfortable

Not 5 stars because I do not do ANY trail running. Otherwise love this shoe. Looks great. Feels great. Can walk around all day with no foot fatigue. Fits snugly. I wear 11.5 normally and the sizing is outstanding. For all the reasons to own this shoe other than running over to me and tree branches on dirt paths I am would highly recommend them.

So after taking some time to break them in i quite like these. I hoped they would be more like the slab pulsar but they really feel different. For me they are a bit too stiff in midsole not sure what is gained with the plate if anything creates instability, IMO they should lose it & save some weight. Arguably there is also a bit too much shoe, the upper is quite stiff. Some will probably welcome the protection & durability but personally I tend to avoid incidents on the trail with lighter shoes & don't need that much protection. The fit is a bit better than the slab pulsar although very narrow midfoot again i'm not able to tie the quick laces too tight because of the narrow midfoot & then the lock down in the heal is not so great. Initially i had an issue in the little toe area because there is not much volume i got a blister. This seems to be no longer be an issue with thinner insoles & bedding them in & softening them up. But why make it so tight when they could just add a bit more volume here?
Apart from these issues it a good trail shoe, the midsole is good on non technical & I just wish there was a model of shoe between the slab pulsar & this of & the new colours are a bit meh seems Salomon is catering for American tastes in the styling & seem to have hired HOKA designers. They make ugly shoes so please stop.

Once I have the shoe on it is great, good cushion, light and durable, I use it for trail running.Issues I have with the shoe:
1) it fits like a glove and I have a hard time physically trying to get my foot in the shoe . First shoe I need to sit down to get on, lol, old man!
2) first time I wore the shoe for a run I had on a thin pair of merino socks. The tongue type material bunch's up on my and the thin sock allows me to feel these bunched up layers of material on the top of my foot, almost rubbing, didn't feel good. Since then I switched to a medium weight / thicker sock, no problem. The medium weight sock protects my foot against this rub.

I got these for a RAGNAR trail race and only had a few days to break them in. No problems - they fit great and withstood lots of rough terrain. Appreciated the cushion and responsiveness - tough to get both.
