Honestly these are the best winter adventure pants. They keep me warm and dry but aren't too bulky or thick. I ended up buying three pairs since they are so versatile.

A lovely compromise between synthetic and wool. I love the wind-stopping ability. Perfect for cycling. Unzip at the ankles and fold up for capri-length.

These are my favorite base layer for downhill skiing. I've had them several years and they continue to hold up well. Excellent product.

I love this fleece tight. It is wonderful to wear in chilly weather hiking in Tucson winters. I wear these tights during my morning hikes. Keeps me warm and comfortable.

Love these for the weight but no drawstring at waist is a defect. When I put a small water bottle in the pocket and a phone the tights slip down. No way to tighten.

I bought these to run outside during cold, Nebraska winters. Unfortunately, they really aren't the best for running without a drawstring. If you're super skinny, this may not be a necessity, but I'm normally a size 10-12 gal so no drawstring just doesn't work for me with these. The warmth is good, but not enough IMO for temps below 30. They can work very well as a base layer underneath another layer for outdoor activities like hiking. Overall, sound quality, but just not what I wanted to use them for.

The pros: true to size, warm, fleecy, solid black, high waist but not too crazy tight, pockets.
The cons: not much stretch, and because of that, zippers on the ankles. I found the odd lack of stretch uncomfortable even for everyday use or running, they began to bag out pretty quickly, and the zippers at the ankles mean I can't wear them with boots, therefore can't wear them skiing, mountaineering, or with hiking boots.
I've been looking for years for a replacement for my beloved, do-it-all Smartwool PhD run leggings--solid black, soft fleecy wool, warm, stretchy, and pockets. These aren't quite the replacement.

I am offering two stars because I still love the Smartwool tops I purchased years ago. However, I placed the order for the fleece tights on 11/1. Now it is 11/22, and I still have not received the package. Disappointing.

I've bought a new pair of these pants every winter for the past 3 years...this year's version are so disappointing. No drawstring, rise is too high. So bummed.
