Five month review - favorite pair of boots I've owned so far. These fit closer to a pair of high-top sneakers than a stiff boot, since the upper is mostly waterproof fabric instead of leather. Personally I like that, since I like a snug fit on the ankle and hate big puffy tongues. Extremely comfortable insole right out of the box. They're nice enough that I wear them on dates but also have no hesitation stepping through snow or deep puddles. The suede has picked up scuffs and scratches but is holding up well after the winter. No insulation, so they're good at 30F but a little too light at 20F. I have mostly worn these with thick wool socks this winter. The waterproofing seems to be holding up well after 5 months of mostly daily wear. The soles don't squeak on polished floors and the treads are holding up well. I think they'll probably last 3-4 years of frequent wear, maybe 2 before the tread gets noticeably smoother.

Comfy out of the box, like a well-worn pair of sneakers. I could almost go for a run in these. Perfect winter boot for town in jeans and a jacket, a light hike, yard work. On the sizing: my measured shoe size is a 10, and I have a narrower foot. In Nike AF1's, I wear a 10.5. Red Wings, a 9.5. Running shoes, I size up to an 11.5 in Nike or Brooks. In these, with a pair of Smartwool medium cushion socks, the 10 is a perfect fit. I can see how some say they run large, if you base your selection on sneaker size. Hope this helps someone.

Wonderfully made shoe. Just runs way too large! Size down at least a half size, even if you are going to wear thick boot socks.
