I finally made a full price purchase for nice Gore-tex shoes and it hurts more than just my wallet. The tongue applies so much pressure to the top of my foot I kept feeling like I have to adjust it or the laces but it turns out it's how they sew the tongue to the rest of the shoe. I unfortunately threw away the shoebox and am stuck with these painful cushioned shoes.

Yahoo! The Clifton 9 GTX shoe is amazing. It has comfort and style. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new color Varsity Navy. Waited a long time for HOKA to return with a true NAVY color to the women's line up of tennis shoes. You rock, HOKA!

The fit is really good and the support feels just right. I have really had some issues with sport shoes in the past but this is really a good choice.

I purchase 3 pairs of Hokas every year. I bought these October of 2024. The tread on these ripped with the second wear. I returned them in an effort to get a new pair. Hoka denied my return stating that the one year warranty period had expired. Clearly that is not correct. They refused to address that and stated all decisions are final. So now I will no longer purchase Hokas. It makes no sense that they would lose thousands of dollars over one pair of shoes.

I wear my Clifton 9 GTX for walking. I has a wide toe box. I feel like I am walking on clouds. It has been great shoe for walking post my knee replacement.

I bought these because my feet were getting really sore being on them all day long. This is the first time I bought the Clifton and I could not be more happy. The fit is amazing and the support is great.

This is my 3rd pair of Clifton's I bought these because I loved the first two so much. These are not the same sneaker. I am currently laid up with major back and hip pain from these sneakers and have had to order another pair of work shoes

Super comfortable shoe, but don't last more than four months and that is being generous. This may be because I am more sensitive to wear and tear since I buy these shoes because of foot pain. May last longer for someone with no foot pain at all. When new they are so comfortable my feet don't hurt.

Color was nice just a simple combination of black and vermillion/red. However, material is too hard for a 12-hr shift. The minute you put in your foot, you know, this will not be a good shoe for the entire day. Had to return quicker than a speed of lightning.

I purched the shoes for Australia. They are comfortable, not cushioney like Bondi's however i wanred the water proof protection. Only one suggestion, i needed 8W, no wide widths are available in GTX so I returned the 8 for a 8.5..Blue is a Very cool color

Was disappointed with the shoe. Love the style, but the Clifton 9's have much more cushion feel and support , and a cheaper price.I Wish the Clifton 9's came in this color.

The colors are amazing, very comfortable is like walking in clouds, I have a few Hokas shoes already, true to size.
I love these pair but sadly it created a blister where the shoe tongue sits in my feet so I have to let them go

I'm in the market for "walking an amusement park all day" shoes. I decided to try Hoka's. When I slipped into them I noticed that there is not much arch support & my foot began to ache. I'm giving them the 30 day test to see if they are worth keeping or not.

I've always likes my Hoka's but these are by far my favorite. Such a cute design, not too bulky looking. Yet comfortable for all day on your feet, 12 hr shifts. They don't rub my feet anywhere and my feet don't slip in the shoe. Plus the Gore-Tex is perfect.

I bought a pair because a friend of mine said they were great. I corrected him and told him they are awesome.
Thanks again

The heel part on the side kept jabbing on my foot making it very uncomfortable. Also felt a little too big. Thought it was because of the gtx so tried original version. Same problem. Hoka Clifton 9 is not the same fit as Hoka Clifton 8 in my experience.

The bottoms of the shoe started coming apart within 3 months of my daughter wearing these at her part time job. These cost way too much to have this to happen.

I ordered these based on reviews and I liked the design and look of these. I was between Brooks and Hoka and I'm glad I got HOKA my feet feel so good in these. I could walk forever in them and I don't get foot pain or lumbar pain. I have a high arch and usually my pinky toes are getting squished and it feels like there is 0 support for my inner sides but these feel like a dream with lots of room and tons of support. Now I'm going to buy a pair for my 13 y/o and my husband who both are picky about shoes and foot pain. My normal size 7.5 fit perfect so I'd say these are true to size.

I love these shoes, love that my feet stay dry they fit like a glove. I hope they come out with black with white souls in the GTX. Perfect shoes I hope they don't change anything.

This shoe feels very comfortable and light feels even better when walking. I have been wearing it to work. The only problem I have is my flat foot it makes my pinky toe feel sensitive to painful sometimes. The shoe feels great.

The Clifton 9s were too heavy but after a shipping/return mishap on my part I was able return and basically exchange those for a new pair of Mach 6. Fabolous shoes!

I have owned several pairs of Clifton sneakers and probably run/walk 7+ miles every day. They hold up great and are very comfortable. I got these because I do run in rain or bad weather sometimes. There are several reasons I don't like these goretex shoes. The tongue is completely attached on both sides making it lumpy if you tie your shoes tight. The goretex in the tongue adds more to the uncomfortable feel in the tongue as it is rigid unlike soft fabric tongues and bulky making it feel like you have a piece of hard plastic on top of your foot. It also tends to wrinkle and hold the wrinkle no matter how loose you tie the laces making lumps in the tongue that are very uncomfortable. I kept the pair, because I had worn them a few times and they were now used and also very expensive. I think I ended up hurting my toes, feet and running in an odd way because I can't lace them tight enough for my feet. The tongue is just too rigid and not forgiving and so uncomfortable that I lace slightly loose and it still hurts the top of my feet. I think I might have to retire them already and I just got them in January. So bummed and thinking I might have to switch brands due to expense of the shoes, how quickly they wear out and comfortability

I really was excited about the GTX form of the Clifton 9. I currently run in Clifton's and training for my first half marathon and wanted the GTX for the waterproof options while running in the elements. Unfortunately it seems there is a design issue that just didn't allow me to wear these. The seam on the tongue was rubbing the top of my foot so bad and causing pain. I did a replacement order with another Clifton 9. Clifton's are my GO TO shoes and will buy more in the future just not the GTX.
