I bought these for my 11 year old son to wear on Scout camping trips. He wears a youth size 5 shoe and the medium were fine, with room to grow. He liked the socks so much he came back from camping and told me he wore them for three days straight. I cringed, but that's a good complement to the socks.

Essentially all my socks are the Cresta hiking socks. I have light, mid and heavy weight and love them all. They're comfortable and the light weight socks work well in summer. They're great for hiking but also for my everyday needs - zoo volunteering, dog walks, shopping trips, yard work - anytime I'm on my feet.

The are soft, warm, not itchy, and hug your foot in the right places. The come out of the washer and dryer with no shrinkage. I have not had them long enough to count on how well they will wear.
