I wear them for trail races over 30 miles with lots of descents to save my toes!

I love Topo shoes for their roomy toe box. I used this shoe for the second half of my first 100 miler. They were perfect for my swelling feet. The race was on a limestone gravel railtrail. I also wear them on routes near my home that are a mix of gravel, road, and single track. This is a versatile shoe. Many trail shoes really suck if you have a road section, but I found these to be quite comfortable. I definitely plan to continue using this shoe.

Just completed a 14 mile wilderness Trail Run in my Ultraventure-3's, and these shoes ROCK! Race included @1500ft elevation gain, extremely rocky, slippery, muddy terrain AND it was DOWN-POURING HEAVY RAIN 90% of the time, with chilly weather. I was hesitant re: the treads, but they held steadfast in ALL OF THESE CONDITIONS, the extra cushion saved me over such rocky terrain, and even while my feet (and everything else) were soaked, my feet were so comfortable. LOVE the roomy toe-box! The best!

When on a recent vacation out west, I wore my topo ultra venture 3 most of the time. Usually, after a hiking vacation I have to nurse my feet for several months because they are in so much pain from the boots that I am wearing. The vacation ended this week, and my feet are fine. When I did more technical hiking I had to wear my altra high tops, which did not make me very happy. Please make your hiking boots in a wide. That would make my feet happy beyond belief.

5th pair of topo shoes. I have gotten all road running so far. Since I have a bad bunion I am hard on my shoes so I thought I would try something sturdier. I had just sprained my ankle before these arrived. I walk on pavement and these were great. They gave the cushion with the support that I needed. They are very durable and I wear them during the day too. Cool color!

I love Topo shoes! The Ultraventrue is my go my favorite for long miles on all kinds of terrain. I used the ultraventure2 and was not sure about the new design of the 3 but it's amazing. Has support, cushion and flexibility with a roomy toe box.

I have loved the fit and feel of these, even after three months having to glue the soles back on once using ShoeGoo. They held up for another three months and then the sole separated in another area, I have yet to glue that back. So I went to order another pair thinking I just had a 'lemon' pair, but I was sad they are no longer available.

I just left the AT in GA and the inability of these shoes to handle the slick leaf litter on the trail was a factor. I have also had these slip on wet rocks. I believe this could be addressed with a more aggressive tread, but no other topo trail runners are available in wide. I need a supportive shoe with a rocker toe and unfortunately to get that I have to sacrifice the tread. In the summer it was liveable but with the autumn leaf litter quite deep on the trail at times, a few falls and several near misses I decided I didn't feel safe with these shoes in these conditions. I also get blisters from these shoes because my feet are slightly different sizes. I have difficult feet but I hear shoes are still a big compromise, especially with the tread not being able to handle slippery surfaces. I know there are better options but topo doesn't make them in wide. I recommend these shoes IF they fit you well and IF you're not in slick conditions. Be really careful!

My feet never get tired or sore when I wear these. I can walk for 8 hours in them on complicated trails and my feet are great! I usually also run 2-3 hours in them at a time.

The most comfortable running shoes I’ve ever worn. I wore Altras until they made recent changes that made the toe box so uncomfortable, and did some searches to find other running shoes that were known for wider toes boxes. These shoes are perfect - plenty of room for toes, arch support, comfortable heel - all with the perfect amount of spring while you’re running or walking and without the wide bottom base of shoes like Hokas. I’m a Topo convert!

Great for mixed trail running (fire trails w/some pavement in the mix) I plan on taking them up a canyon for a heavy terrain run and will report back. Otherwise, these shoes are a literal game changer! Goodbye soreness and low back aches, hello longer runs and faster recovery!

Trail shoe is worth it this shoe is great maybe not enough grip for a really loose rocky trail but good for most trails I have put probably 100 miles on them so far and I'm happy

1st 3 mile hike no pain at all so did an 8 mile hike up & down hill on scree & road thru several trail & no pain. Both hikes with Injinji toe LINER socks as since I gain weight in now in between a 7 and a 7.5 but 7.5 make me trip so hard to find the right 7 shoe size unless I wear liner socks no cushion. Then I wore them with regular Injinji toe socks & still so comfy. I even started running again & notice less stress on my joints! Heel stick is like I'm on a cloud actually hiking is like I'm on a cloud. They are wonderful, just need better colors! 7 med fit but when I tried the 7 wide SOOO much better... like I'm barefoot but with pillows under my feet. Thank you Topo! Please keep making them & sorry gray & white color options please. 5'2 160

After suffering for 4 months in Altras and needing serious PT for how much damage zero drop caused my feet I decided to give Topo a try and I am blown away. They have saved my feet and tendons! It was risky, but these made their maiden voyage on a 11 mile hike with over 3k elevation gain and my feet felt AMAZING the entire time. Zero pain, zero hot spots & the laces stayed in place the entire time. I bought these and the traverse - I'll be returning the traverse because I prefer the fit of these! HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you need a trail shoe that is not zero drop.

So comfortable. Like walking on air. I have no arch and usually wear an orthotic but these feel great even without that.

If you're on the fence, this is your sign to just get them. Perfect fit right out of the box at size 10 which feels like a miracle. Zero blisters or weird rubbing spots - like I've worn them for years except they're brand new and springy. I think the arch support is solid. I have high arches and these, essentially, rise to the challenge. Also can't say enough how nice it is to finally have the top part of my foot, toes and toenails be able to "breathe" without being squished. I've lost a couple toenails to Hokas and Asics and Nikes but these Topos seem like they might be the exception to the rule. Have taken them out on multiple grades of trail and they did what they were meant to: gripped rocks and roots and loose sand and gravel and even gave me some traction on muddy spots. I tested them first on the treadmill and ran better than I have in months. Got the dusty rose/navy color and it is bright, happy but also relatively neutral in the best way. I don't feel like I'm wearing the saccharine pinks and oranges other women's shoe brands force on the general population. All the stars :)

I have problem feet, and these really work well for me. Lots of toe room, and no zero drop (hurts my instep). They are very cushiony so I aded SuperFeet orthocis to give more support.

I've had 3 pairs of the first iteration of the Ultraventure, and was hoping I would still be happy with the new style. I love them. They're my daily hikers. I walk about 3 miles on trails in them each day. I love the roomy toe box, the low drop and the traction. I have another brand of wide toe box hikers, but the heels slip off my feet. These are perfect for me and I have the road version as my work shoes. I have a job in medicine, and am on my feet most of the day. Keep up the great work, Topo! #sweepstakes

Typically I wear a 7D or 7Wide in New Balance or Merrell. This is my first pair of Topos. I purchased a 7Wide Ultraventure 3 and used it for several 5+ mile walks at a Recreation Park. The wide toe box was awesome and this pair fitted my feet "right out of the box." I wore these shoes with Darn Tough Low Cushion Microcrew socks. This is a perfect combination for me.
