This vest was so worth the wait; it was on backorder for over a month. I love the blue and purple color combo. It fits perfectly and I am top heavy. The zipper inside the hand pockets was an added bonus for car keys. I ordered a similar vest from another outdoor retailer and expected to like it better because it had a hood. However, the fabric from the competitor's vest attracted fuzz and hair like velcro. The fabric on the LLBean vest does not do this. I am excited to go out every day when I get to put this vest on.

This is a well made, comfortable and warm vest. Great for long walks with my Airedale in the woods and on hikes. I like that there is an inner pocket so keys and cell phones are secure. Highly recommend

This vest is amazing. I loved it so much I ordered another one in dusty olive. They wear like a coat. Very warm and great at blocking the wind, I ordered an XL for layering purposes and it's perfect. Lots of pockets in this vest too. Worth the price I paid.

I love this! I was afraid it would look ridiculous in orange/blue color block because I am 78 years old and I look like Mrs Santa Claus. It's warm and comfy and leaves my arms free. I get compliments all the time. I purchased a similar style winter jacket in teal a couple of years ago. I haven't worn it once since this arrived. Couldn't be more pleased!

Comfortable. Warm outer vest. I am a rural livestock owner and am always looking for a balance of form, function, looks and durability. Strong zipper!! Really important. Snap flap over zipper if you choose to use. Really nice feature - outer pockets w snap and inner pockets w zipper. Great for keeping car keys, phone, chapstick etc and still use outer pocket! Drawstring hem. Material soft and decently durable. Important to note - runs large. I am grateful for reviews - I ordered a size small ( I am broad shouldered and am usually a medium). A Small fits easily over a sweater for me. When cold I can also Fit under my barn jacket. It's also great for extra layer for inside when in someone's chilly house. I look the good old fashioned down vest look. It's not as durable as Say waxed oilcloth but it's more supple. Its not as sporty and sleek as the down sweater type vests ( I don't have one). It is my main under or over extra layer this winter!! It is a really good value vest. Thank you.

I love this vest...it's very good looking, comfy, and warm. An example of how well designed it is--It has a feature that I've never seen before, a zippered pocket along side a regular pocket, which means I can stick things (phone, money, billfold) in my pocket, zip it up and still be able to put my hands in the other side of the pocket to warm them up. Genius! Can't report on how it washes yet, but, I have no reason to think it won't do fine. So, I highly recommend it.

I recently bought an LL Bean Winter Warmer Coat, to be worn as my raincoat, for playing fetch with my dog, when it rains. It was not as warm as I'd have liked, so I received this vest to wear under the coat, to keep my core warmer, and to wear inside, as our house gets chilly in the winter. This is a superior piece of outerwear. I got the green two-tone vest. It is very well made. All the snaps and zippers and fasteners are first class. It looks great, and feels great. Nice and warm. A little puffy, but then it is a down vest. Pricier than other vendors, but worth the premium price. I love the difference in textures if the two materials. Now I'm considering getting the two tone down jacket as well.

This down vest is well-fitting, light, warm, and handsome. It's a real cold-weather garment, not just something to wear from the car to the mall. The vest's details--cinch around the bottom hem, inside pocket, moderate armhole width, longish body length, storm flap that snaps over metal zipper--all indicate a garment that's made to be used and to last. I like the contrast between the muted greens of the exterior and the deep, bittersweet orange of the interior. My normal size fits comfortably over a sweater or light sweatshirt, a necessity in our northern climate. I'll be wearing this vest often and with pleasure, and I have my eye on the men's version as a future gift for my husband, as well. The Mountain Classic vest is one of the best clothing purchases I've made in 2018.

This vest is awesome. Initially I ordered a small, which is my regular size for outerwear and it fit more like a m/l. I exchanged it for an xs and it's still roomy but perfect for layering a thick sweater or fleece under it. It's comfortable and the pockets have an inside pocket with a zipper for keys or money which is nice since the big pocket has just a snap. The kelp green is a really nice muted green too. You won't be disappointed!

Super warm and cute! I usually wear a small but bought XXS after trying on all sizes in the store. I still have plenty of room for layering a fleece underneath. Absolutely love it!!!

I'm glad I bought this vest, especially since it was on sale. The colors are pretty. It's a very soft, comfortable and warm item. Great for walking or other body-heat generating activities. It is rather boxy, as testified to by other reviewers, which is mostly due to its puffy construction, but I don't consider that a major issue. It's very comfortable. I wish it - and other LL Bean jackets and vests - had at least one inside zip pocket (in addition to the one inside the left pocket) to carry necessary items when I don't want to carry a purse (which is important due to increased purse-snatching activity).

Warm and stylish, but It was too big for me. I normally wear a large and would recommend a medium. I gave it to my grandmother and she loved it.

Love this vest. It does run big. I'm normally an xsmall/small in various brands but had to size down to xxsmall. It hasn't been cool enough to wear yet so can't comment on function.

I ordered this vest in my usual small, expecting that it might be too big based on reviews. I'm curvy (size 8 petite on bottom, size 4/small on top), and this fit my hips perfectly but was incredibly boxy and formless above the hips, absolutely no tapering. That combined with the level of fluffiness of this colder-weather vest made me look like a marshmallow. I ended up giving it to my boyfriend who is 5'5" and broad-shouldered, and it fit him perfectly, you'd never know it was a women's vest. Other than the fit, it's a beautiful item, the vintage look is awesome and the quality is great!

Usual LL Bean quality, but I was disappointed to find no two-way zipper or inside zip pocket for safekeeping. The zipper pocket is inside the left pocket, instead, so there are two pockets right next to each other. I find it a little confusing. The vest is also "fatter", puffier, than the old one. I don't know about warmth comparison - it is perfect for my needs in N Central Florida. I had gained weight and ordered the large, but it was huge on me, so I went back to a medium - very snug in the hips, and looser as it goes up the body, typical for a 'pear". Over-all, still a very nice vest.

I love this vest. It's incredibly warm and durable. But be aware that the inside is bright orange which shows a bit at the shoulders, and it runs quite large. I bought a medium because I knew I would be wearing hoodies or sweaters under it but even with me doing that I should have bought a small.

I am excited about this vest. It has colors that LLB typically doesn't use which is a nice change. It is exceptionally warm and exactly what I am looking for. My only complaint is that it is big; I ordered my regular size (large) but it fits like an XL. There's a lot of room and I can pull it away from my body by several inches. When I sit down it bunches up by my neck. I'll be going back to the store to exchange it.

I love the color, fabric, and warmth. But it's huge! I like vests to be a little roomy to fit over sweaters, but it was so big I had to check the packaging to make sure I didn't accidentally buy a Mens vest. I'm usually Medium in llbean tops & jackets, but I'm exchanging this one for a Small.

I love this vest - I have one in blue that I've owned for several years. Washes & dries like a dream. The only thing I'm disappointed in with this vest is the snap pockets - my other one has zipper pockets - I'm a photographer so I put lenses in my pocket & I can't with this vest because it doesn't zip. I bought this color because I'm always in the woods during hunting season but now I will have to carry something else for my lenses - that was disappointing.

I read the other reviews AFTER I ordered it and there was a review with my same height and weight and she ordered an xxsmall. The small was sooooo big. More like a large. Sizing seems way off. I love the look and it's super puffy and warm. I'll try an xxsmall....which is funny because I am NOT an xxsmall in any other brand.

Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to sizing, otherwise the quality was fantastic. I ordered a small, and really needed a xxs. I'm 5'6, 140 lbs, in good physical shape and it was giant on me.

This is a great quality vest but just not a good fit / not the color I was expecting. I'm usually a Petite Medium, but as a busty person - this was too snug and unflattering on my short curvy bod. I loved the retro orange/brown look of the Red Ocher color block option on the website, but when it arrived - it's a true red versus the orange I was expecting. I tried looking at it on different monitors in case it was an issue on my end but it definitely looks more orange online. I exchanged for the Women's Mountain Classic Puffer Vest and I'm thrilled with it!

I am tall and muscular and normally a 8-10 in tops so I read some reviews and bought a medium. It was HUGE even with a hoodie underneath I was swimming in it. I think it is a very cute vest but was too lazy to try and see if a small was worth it!

This vest is very warm, but I just could not find the right size. It runs very big in my opinion. I gave up after returning it twice.

While the vest is warm, I've now had this for over a year. The collars, due to the material, cannot escape oil staining. It's terrible as I have the orange/red color and it is very visible to everyone. I've literally never owned anything that has done this and now I cannot return it because of the return window. Disappointing.
