could not give it a fair shake==the wide version is not wide enough for my foot. I have a 8.5 size and thought wide would work, but it didn't. I plan on returning

Very stiff. Will need to wear to range a bit before I can hit the links. Tried them the other day and lucky for me I packed my old shoes in bag. Changed after 9 holes

Great looking shoe but unfortunately after wearing them for over 10 rounds they still feel very tight across the toe area, maybe I should have ordered wide fit but assumed they would be the same fit as previous versions

Bought in an extra wide as had previously ordered them in wide which were too narrow for my foot. I only appeared to be able to order extra wide in blue which was a shame but not a huge problem for me, and the extra-wides were wide enough for my feet - which was good.
Unfortunatley though they were way too big in the ankle/heel area and so I have had to return the shoes because my feet were slipping out at the heel. So I'm araid to say that if you are a person with a slim/average build (and simply have extra wide feet), these shoes probably won't be any good for you, as they appear to cater for people that are large everywhere. Other than this the shoes looked fine but for me another dissapointment.

Prior to purchase of the Pro/SL, I combed the internet for comparison and reviews, both written and video, and they were favorable to this shoe. I did a live chat with a FootJoy ambassador as well letting him know my main criteria was high comfort, spikeless, and long lasting waterproof shoes. I gave him some info on how my feet fit in various styles of shoes and my golfing frequency. He agreed that the Pro/SL would be my best bet. I purchased two sizes online to make sure I received the proper fit for my feet with the idea to return the pair that didn't fit. Once received, they looked fantastic, the leather was soft and I noted they were very light, as light as my some of my running shoes. They do run a half size big. The tongue and the sides of the shoes both at the mid foot and hind foot were very comfortable with no heel slippage while trying them on and walking around on carpet. They were very grippy and I have no doubt they would be great on wet grass. However, I was disappointed with the insoles, very uncomfortable to my feet with the raised portions underneath feeling like hard "columns". The toe box is narrow and had some squeeze on my pinky and big toes even though I ordered wides. I cannot comment on stability. Bottom line for my feet, not for me. I returned them and ordered the Carbons in wide, no available extra wides were in stock in my size, with hopes the insole will provide exceptional comfort as other reviewers stated and that the narrow toe box would not be an issue. #sweepstakes

The shoe looks great, but unfortunately the tongue of the shoe has a very hard ridge going right across your toes and rubs them sore. Nether had a shoe rub there before.

I'm 5ft 9, 11.5 stone, and have size 9 feet that are wide (11cm). Bought these shoes in 'wide' and they were far too narrow so have been returned.
FootJoy claim to have a superb selection of sizes yet they don't have a width size chart online that actually includes measurements (inches/cm). I had to consult a guide I found online which stated that 11cm width was '2E' which after consulting FootJoy's chart led me to buy 'wide'. So, was the original guide simply incorrect or were the FootJoy shoes not really a '2E'? This is concerning as customers don't really know how wide the shoes are that they are buying from FootJoy (at let's be honest, a premium price). Please FootJoy, be transparent on your width sizing!!
On a separate point, FootJoy also don't have much of a selection in stock of 'extra wide' shoes, unless you want black ones, which as a guy in his mid 30's Just isn't too cool.
Come on FootJoy...you're still the best the industry has for us wide footed guys, but please do a little more to help out the flipper footed community. Otherwise you're in danger of being like all the rest, and I'm in danger of having to try to play golf bare-foot!

While the shoes look, feel and perform great I had a severe problem with the back rubbing on my ankle causing blisters and bleeding. I had to buy heel cushions to prevent the rubbing and hope that this solves the issue.

More difficult to tighten BOA then expected, the old style was much easier. Not as comfortable as in the past.

I had to send this pair back to you because the toe insert in the right shoe is defective. When posting up on the right toe during the swing the toe of shoe folds or creases. You need to use a stronger toe insert.
I have a previous year Pro/SL in white and they are just fine. Could it be that these shoes were made in different factories?

well I have ordered twice before once for the contour shoes and then the arc .
I sent in the same size and wide width as the other ones but these sl feel tight on the toes sides although I have walked a few times with them just some soreness on my baby toes...the others for like gloves.

Purchased Pro/SL shoes size 7 extra wide fit, Delivered on time, unfortunately I found the shoes not quite wide enough and a bit too long. Shoes were promptly collected and refunded.
Delighted with the service and would recommend.

First time Footjoy customer. The shoe fits great and is comfortable however, buyer beware: I ordered a "new" pair and Footjoy clearly sent a used pair another customer had worn and returned. Footjoy, if you are going to sell used products, at least be a little better about cleaning them up before shipping them to new customers.

These are very nice golf shoes. They have given me blisters the first time I wore them. Just hoping they will wear in the more I wear them. The last pair of golf shoes I brought only lasted me 6 months so hoping these stand up to the punishment.

Great shoes but they weren't as wide as I expected. I ordered Wide-Fit and they were still a little too narrow. Not as wide as previous wide FootJoy's (eComfort). Disappointed that the pair ordered had a visible fault with the shoe that I'd have expected quality control to spot (since I spotted it immediately!)

Liked the shoes, however my 77 yr old feet had trouble with them. Not Footjoy fault. Had to return them and am trying them again.

I like the shoe but after 14/15 holes I start to feel the sole and if am honest find them quite uncomfortable which I have never felt with any FJ product I have had.

Very solid construction, look really nice. Unfortunately giving me a blister after extended wear, partially solved by swapping the rather bulky (but very shock absorbing) insole for another type. Still not sure they will settle down into the type of comfort previously experienced with Contour. So sadly no, I won't be buying again, but that's not a criticism of the construction, it's just really difficult to know after the try on around the house that pressure points might arise on my rather bunion-y feet. So fellow bunion sufferers beware, they might not suit (even in extra wide).

I ordered same size of the Pro/SL shoes I currently wear, but these are much longer. I will have to exchange them for a shorter size.

I just purchased this shoe after doing a ton of research and reading reviews online. I was very excited to try out the new Pro SL's walking 18 for the first time. I made it through the first five holes, and had to walk back to the truck to change into my older FJ Flex golf shoes because my heels hurt so bad. I now have huge blisters on my heels. I've owned many different brands of golf shoes over the years and have never had this problem.
I am really disappointed. Not sure if I should try to keep wearing them to break them in or try to return them for a different shoe. Has anyone else had this problem?

The 10.5 wide is wide at the arch but too narrow at the edges near the ball of my foot. The was no wider choice in a 10.5 The 11 only offered a EEE which would have worked but too long

3 stars as I can't assess the shoes due to covid19. They look ok!. I like the fact they are black and as such easy to clean; had some white shoes before with red bits on - nightmare; don't buy white is my recommendation. Also like the sole with no cleats which can also be a nightmare - spent extra cash always having to replace broken ones which are difficult to get out and the shoes although good for a few weeks are never the same so great that there is nothing to replace. Would have preferred to have played in them before assessing so can't comment on the fit.
