These pants were the only pants I wore on my 3 day hike in Zion National Park, UT...including the Narrows in the river one day... and up to Angels Landing the next. The zip-off feature worked smoothly ...along with the quick-drying fabric. Super comfortable. Perfect construction and fit.

I got two different pairs of Bean pants seven years ago for a vacation to India. I wanted lightweight pants that would be good in a hot climate. I really like the pants I bought. They have good pockets, many with zippers, and are light and durable. One pair has leg sections that come off to make the pants into shorts. Over time, with seven years of wear, I stained both pairs and just replaced them. I like the replacements very much! I like Bean's quality and guarantee! I often buy clothes at good will stores or other charity shops, but got these pants new at Bean because they are worth it!

I am a 5'10" tall woman who finds these pants long enough (I bought 33" waist and 36" length--I wish there was a 35" inseam--that would be perfect!) and nice enough to pass in the professional world. They are also my go-to travel pants. My phone fits in the side zipper pocket!

I love these pants. They're the thinnest long pants one can wear in hot or strenuous environments, yet they are strong as an ox and I have never torn them. The material is thin like California Surfer board shorts, but iron strong. My weight fluctuates up and down nearly 10 pounds but they always seem to stretch when I'm bigger and snap back to sizewhen I'm smaller. They're magic pants! The zip off legs are a plus, and each side's zipper is color-coded to save you aggravation, but two of my pair are not zip off legs and I still love them. Let's be clear, these are utilitarian and not fashion pants. I mean they look good, and not stupid looking like cotton cargo pants, but you are wearing them to keep from overheating, be comfortable, and not damage them easily. Actually I love the older version a little bit better, because they were offered in two materials, "water resistant" and " regular". The current version only comes in "water resistant" which makes the material slightly warmer. Darn!

Great product, the fit is true to size. Quality materials, long lasting, wearing fabric. light weight and dries fast. pockets are good. My current pair have lasted me over 2yrs of Hiking and Backpacking 200 plus miles and a week long Canoeing adventure in Northern Minnesota and multiple Scouting weekends and camping out.

I loved these pants! They are durable, lightweight and versatile. Basically, 2 pants in one. They wore very well on my recent trek to Everest Base Camp, and kept me cool while I spent a week in Thailand. Highly recommend.

These seemed long when I first got them, but they were perfect for a fall trip to Utah where they served as both shorts and long pants. They are lightweight, tough, "give" just a little, have many pockets, good zippers.

I like the light feel and being able to switch between long pants and shorts.
