It definitely runs large! If you want a fit similar to that shown on the model, I would recommend sizing down. I am a true XL or 16 in EVERYTHING I own by LLBean. I initially ordered this jacket in XL and it was huge. Sleeves to the knuckles and 4 inches too large in the body. I could have worn two big chunky sweaters under it. The fabric is more substantial than I had expected and it has a good and comfortable amount of give thanks to the Elastane.

I have been looking for a jean jacket for a long while. This one is a classic denim tone that works well with all shades of denim from dark rinse to faded barely blue. The stretch provides a "just right" amount of ease for added comfort, without the jacket losing its classic structure. I am a petite medium in LL Bean tops and a petite 10 in jeans. The medium regular was fine. - just roll the cuffs up. I wish it had been offered in a petite for a more perfect fit but I wear it all the time this spring just the same. Very nice way to top off spring skirts and dresses.

Shopped around for a classic short denim jacket. Others: ill-fitting / 2nd-rate fabric / awkward buttons / odd length / ugly collar and details. I LOVE The Bean Jean Jacket - my go-to casual jacket.

Roomy enough for layers underneath. Be sure to wash before wearing. It bleeds.

Very well constructed. Runs very large. This jacket fit like it was a med/large.

I usually wear a small medium (chest area 34-36 C). Ordered a small and felt like a large. Way too big. Expecting my refund to order in an xsmall

In true LLBean fashion, this jean jacket is of high quality in fit and craftsmanship. I'm a bigger girl and the X-large was perfect. I love the detail on this jacket.

LLB hit a home run with this denim jacket! Not too bulky or stiff, sleeves comfortable and roomy enough without being baggy, a "tiny" bit cropped (hits right at high hip) and details are classic This jacket has the perfect amount of stretch, but still feels like a true denim jacket. I normally wear a SM or MD in LLB, but this jacket was quite comfortable in SM. A great purchase!

This jacket is of a heavy denim yet soft and comfy. Best for cooler temps. It runs a bit large. Sleeves are great for rolling. The sewing and construction of this jacket are impressive.

The BeanFlex Jean Jacket fits very generous and is a great weight material for the spring and fall. It seems rather comfortable too.

Nice jacket although it's too hot to wear right now. I had ordered it in large, but it was way too big. The medium fits just right. The sleeves are long enough so that one can roll up the cuffs.

This denim jacket is amazing! It's a true llbean medium. I am usually a large or xl somewhere els. But here I can fit in m / late depending how I want it to fit. For reference I'm 5'5" 180. I'd definitely recommend this jacket? The faded color is amazing!

Wear this all the time with casual & dressier outfits. Traveled recently to Europe and was so glad I brought this with me for the cool mornings. Washed & dried beautifully!
