Needed a multi purpose trainer for Hiking & casual. My 2nd pair of trainers from Salomon after my alpha cross 3 . A little bit tight on first trying them on but after a minute the fit is excellent, really comfy. The lacing system is fantastic. Will be buying more of Salomon trainers over the next few months.
10/10 well done Salomon

Bought these for summer Alps trail runs. Was worried they were too tight to start with (I'm always a 10 so ordered online without trying) but they loosened a little and are a perfect fit.
Nice and lightweight - great traction on dirt trails and loose stuff - not too bad on wet rock either.
Having always been a Speedcross fan these are great and are now my go to summer trail show.

I hesitated to spend this much on a shoe I wouldn't use that much. But, I needed them quick for a trip to Brazil. I wasn't sure what I'd get into but i knew I couldn't live with myself if I didn't hit at least one trail. I didn't want to bring my boots because i also needed hood walking shoes for in town since that was my main mode of transportation each day.
I ended up taking an Uber to north of Corupa to an amazing park. No one spoke english and the park was basically closed because of all the rainfall that week making everything slick and dangerous. I met a honey farmer and shopkeeper who volunteered to be my guide and take me through the trails, climb boulders, and deep into caves in knee-high water. These shoes were outstanding. being so lightweight, they kinda seem cheap but they feel awesome and took a beating on this trip. I'd post some wild
videos of I could but here's a few snap shots of the terrain, etc. Afterwards I crammed 2 hairdryers in them to dry them out. they were ready to go in about 20 min. Def recommend these. We'll see how they hold up in time. I probably put 30 miles on 'em in a week wearing them most of every day. The trail, slick mossy boulders, rickety mossy boards/bridges, Ankle to knee high streams, sidewalks, cobblestone, dirt, mud, they pretty much saw it all. And no i'm not paid or anything, I reluctantly paid full price. haha

I have been using speed cross for OCR's for years and wanted something different for training. Super cross is the one I decided to go to and I am not disappointed.

These are my 3rd generation pair of these, absolutely love them for trail running. Because of the thick tread they are not the best for pavement. But they are excellent for gravel and forest trails.

This is my second pair. It's great for terrain and pavement running. I ran over 5K on pavement. I preferred regular laces over the quicklace.

Been using these primarily for walks in the woods. Really happy with them, especially for the price I got on black Friday. My only con is the sole isn't very comfortable so I've been using inserts.

Would be a 5 star but the in sole slips a lot when playing sports. I was able to fix it easily with a bit of shoe glue. But it would be nice if they put in a Better in sole in sucha nice show

This is my 2'nd pair of Supercross shoes, and I love them on any off-road, wet or cooler weather hikes... something which I do often. Though you could use them year-round, I mainly wear them as my fall/winter choice. The lugs are incredible, there is a reason Salomon is so well respected. The soles are solid feeling and you don't ever feel like you are out of controll (unless on slick wet roads or supermarket floors in winter...). The one downside I have with them (and Solamon shoes in general) is that I wish they had more selections with a wide foot option. Still, a great shoe!

I've put better than 30 miles on these directly out of the box and they're extremely comfortably and great on trails. A little slippery on wet, smooth surfaces (wooden walkways) but otherwise awesome.
I deducted one star for two reasons:
The speedlace thing is a little wonky-regular laces would be better IMHO.
They absorb any moisture if you run in the morning with dew, etc. It takes until the next day to air dry until they aren't damp. In dry conditions, these are my new favorite shoe.

I've used these shoes now for a couple of weeks. I have a previous pair of Salomon Speed Cross 4 trail running shoes that are a good size for my EE width feet. After I was diagnosed with psoriatric arthritis in my hands, I came to appreciate the quick lace system in the Salomon shoes.
I first bought a pair of the SpeedCross 5 and was very disappointed that they had been redesigned to be so narrow that they were not possible for me to even wear. I read a review that the Supercross 4 might be okay for wider feet. I find that the size 11.5 Supercross 4 is a little narrower than the 11.5 SpeedCross 4 that I had. But they seem to be breaking in and are no longer painful to wear. They are a little higher profile and so they have some instability for me. But, I think they are serving my needs adequately for now.

I purchased the Supercross model for the excellent traction and durability it provides. I began wearing my pair for neighbourhood walks with my wife to break them in. I immediately noticed the the shoe was rubbing against my Achilles and causing blistering. That eventually resolved itself after callouses formed however the fabric on the inside of the shoe began to wear and ultimately tear. I applied a small amount of Gorilla tape over the tear to prevent it from tearing any further with success which is more effort than should be necessary given the price of the shoe.
