They ran narrow and were too short! Need more leather across the top also.

Overall, a nice sandal and I like the metallic grey. They look a bit hipper than the usual comfort sandal. Unlike the other Mephistos I've purchased, I won't be able to put them on and just go out for a day, since the wide front strap is very tight across the inside of the bridge of my foot. I have wide feet and there's quite a bit of restriction. However, they are leather, so I'm wearing them with socks around the house in hopes of stretching them out a bit before I take them for a real walk.

These will take a bit of time to relax/stretch in the width but they are really cute an looking forward to wearing them this summer.

Leather across top of foot cuts into my foot. Some people have commented about stretching it out in their reviews but I don't want to take the risk of ruining the shoe.

I bought my usual size 41 and had to exchange for a 42 but even those were too tight across the top of my foot. The style is very cute but the fit is terrible

I also ran into problems with the inner edge of the wide leather band to be too tight. Like a knife edge. I liked the overall look and decided to stretch them. I shoved a full plastic bottle of water into each shoe. Pushed it it as far as I could. Tried them on each day. Took about four days for the leather to stretch to a comfortable level. Not the best Mephisto’s I’ve ever had but a fun looking shoe.

My podiatrist recommended Mephisto shoes, and I think these look terrific. Sadly, the reviews are correct. They are exceedingly narrow, and unlike some Mephisto styles, cannot be adjusted. I have tendonitis in my ankle that causes some swelling and while I have normal width feet, the foot with the swelling could barely get into the shoe and it definitely wasn't wearable for any length of time. Dang.

As other reviewers have stated, these are very narrow in the instep area ( and I have fairly slim feet). Also, the leather is very thin and is not lined and the sole is completely rigid. I would expect much better quality for $300 and from Mephisto. Very disappointed.
