Great beach/pool hat and this is definitely a large brim, which gives great sun protection. Packs/folds beautifully and with no damage. It's a little large on my head, but for a casual beach hat, that's fine.

Purchased this hat for a Kentucky Derby themed bridal shower. It's enormous... which is exactly what I was looking for! I plan to wear this again on beach vacations. If you're looking to blend in, this is not the hat for you, especially in the hot pink color.

Super cute hat. Has a bit of gold in the weave. Will look fantastic on the beach. Perfect size for blocking out the sun rays from face, shoulder and neck.

Great extra wide brim - well worth the money. The head size is perfect, some hats can be a bit small, I have a small/average head but very thick puffy hair and this fits perfectly. I would definitely purchase from this company again.

Gave this as a going to church hat gift. She loves the way it flops when she walks. The color is not as bright as the photo. It is more of a grapefruit peel color.

LOVE this hat! The brim is huge giving my face and shoulders full coverage. I brought it on a resort vacation and wore it every day at the pool and beach. With big black sunglasses and sarong it was classic 1940's Italian style ( think Sophia Loren). The hat is a bit unwieldy in the wind so not great for walking around day to day but on the beach it was perfect.

I love this hat. I have very pale sensitive skin and this hat covers not only my face but my shoulders and decolletage as well. I have a big head and it is slightly tight but better than other one size hats that I have purchased. The only problem is that I have to keep pushing the edge of the brim up in order to be able to see when I walk. I do not know if it would be possible to engineer it so this is not the case, but it does it 's job blocking the sun! I even bought a second hat two weeks after the first. It is my fault. I left it on top of my car when putting my son in the car seat and drove off before I retrieved it. I was heartbroken but my husband got me a second one in time for our son's outdoor birthday party.

Bought hat in white and citron. Returned citron as it was actually not as bright and pastel as the picture, but rather, a mustard color. Very bendable for packing, but creases stay.

Love the way it fits,don't like the color -- more citrine than butter. Brim is too big. Wish Zappos would give the size of the brim in inches so there is something exact to compare.

If you want to feel fabulous -- and a bit like Samantha in the first Sex and The City movie -- then this hat is perfect! I love this hat. It's a little tiny bit big, but that actually helps you not have hat-head at the beach. This hat has presence! It's perfect to read under, flip a bit up to people-watch, or simply sit and relax. You will get compliments!

I bought this hat at the behest of my dermatologist. She actually suggested the San Diego Hat Company. It covers shoulder to shoulder which is also what she recommended to prevent sun exposure. The hat is well made and comes in more than one color. I wore it first at a neighborhood event held outside. Got compliments from some of the women and noticed how many people did not have any kind of sun protection. I noticed that there was also not much shade to sit in and my daughter joked, "we'll just get under there with you." The hat itself is very stylish and reminds me of one worn at the Kentucky Derby. Very nice! I'm very pleased.

The brim of the hat is huge! It fits my head just fine. It's a nice hat. But it's wide. Very wide. I was a little self-conscious when I first pulled it out of the box, but since I bought it for the Kentucky Derby, I figured "Heck with it! I'm workin' it!" You need to make sure you're confident enough to wear it. The brim is flexible and can be loosely shaped, which is nice. It'd also be a great sun hat by the pool or beach because of its size. It also has an UPF Rating, as the material has some sun protection.

Great hat! I purchased it for Preakness and dressed it up to match my dress by sewing on ribbon and an extra large bow. I received many compliments! For Preakness next year, I plan to wear this hat again and change out the ribbon/bow to match my dress for next year.

This is a great hat! I wore it to the Kentucky Derby and it was perfect. It is very large! You can kind of guide the rim where you want it so its not too in the way.

Perfect hat. Bought this for a spring vacation in the sun and the ability to angle it depending on where I was in the sun was really helpful to shade my face. Would love this in other colors too!

Great hat! Wide brims is what I was looking for making it look so elegant. It easily adjust shape of brims, so that's great. The only downside is that it still contains paper products, so I better not get it wet!

At last, I found what I was looking for. I went through two other hats. What I like most about the hat is that it holds the shape and doesn't block my view. Completely blocks the sun. I am so glad I bought it.

This is a big hat! It's going to BVI with me and it will come in handy for keeping the UV rays off my head and shoulders. Looks spectacular on and easy to fold and travel, it pops right back into shape. A great big hat with a great low price for what you get. A great look for anyone on a boat, yacht, beach or by the pool. Excellent for any resort!

I absolutley love this hat! I bought it for a beach vacation and feel in love before I even left! It is one size fits all so if you have a big head or a lot of hair it might be a little tight. Overall this is a great buy!

Great straw hat, very large. I like that it is pretty bendable, I'm sure it would be easy to pack in a suitcase. It's a bit heavy and may blow off a lot in breezy situations. I have other San Diego Hat Company hats and love them all.
