I just got my new shoes in a few days ago. Yesterday, I wore it all day (10 hr shift) to break it in. I’m a picker so I had to walk a lot. I made the mistake of not having my other uncomfortable composite toe shoes, that I also bought from Zappos, to switch with during my shift. So, Day one (full 10-hour shift): My toes felt a little squished under the composite toe cap and I ended up getting blisters on both of my big toes; on the outside of the phalange (hehe… phoebe vibes) area where you’d curl your toe. The edges of the composite toe cap end right at the side of my pinky toe ‘knuckle’ causing uncomfortable friction since that where the stretchy middle fabric begins. The fabric park is good because it allows that part of my feet to reach it full range of motion (or spread out when taking a step). However, the material at the heel of my feet is like hard plastic. So, it hurt the side of my heel where the hard plastic starts again. My description above is mainly focused on my right foot. My left is very similar but on different areas. Imagine your feet standing in your favorite house slippers. Then, you’ve gotta squish your toes into a ‘one size fits all’ composite toe cap. Afterwards, put your heels into a somewhat ‘tight-fit’ hard plastic “U” shaped mold. Leaving the mid-section of your feet to relax like normal. That’s how my feet feel after wearing them a full shift and a half (15-ish hours). On the second day (last half of the shift), my blister popped so I got some bandaids and lots of mole skin that our nurse station had to cover the area that hurt. Mole skins helped but overall my feet were killing me and my heels were swollen when I took off the shoes. As I mentioned before, I do have a second pair of Zappos composite toe shoes from when I bought them at the beginning of the year. Those aren’t all that great either and lost a lot support. I will be trying to change out the insole and maybe deal with it until I find better shoes elsewhere. I already returned a pair of shoes before ordering these so I don’t want to return again. I’ll be ordering mole skin, wearing an extra pair of socks for more cushion and maybe tiger balm to relieve the pain for now. I like the shoes and feel that I can make them work for now. I hope this helps!

These are a five star shoe. First, they are wide enough even with my arthritis. Second, the arch support is great. Third they have a composite toe for protection. Fourth, all around the foot cushion and support. They don't bother my hammer toe which sticks up a little, instead, the cushioning on the top protects it. Fifth, they are really light physically and good looking. There is an extra pair of shoe laces included. Could not have done better than these.

These shoes are so well made, i am always a size 8 so that is what I ordered. The padding on the inside I think caused the shoes to feel smaller that anyone who wants to get these I would recommend ordering a half size up. Other than that, the shoes are super light, comparable to the timberland pros that I purchased the last 2 years.

These shoes have have been the best pair I have ever bought since having to buy safety shoes for Amazon back in 2020 I have worn them every day for work for the past year since the day I received them I did not have to “break” them in at all perfect amount of arch support plenty of wiggle room for my toes. Absolutely no issues with them. My only disappointment was that with the new year 2025 I went to order them again and I can’t get the in the 8w only the reg 8 I need that extra room lol

Thorogood is an very awesome brand and provides comfortable support. There was enough foot room. I love my Throgood Marshalls. I would definitely recommend this brand to family and friends fork work shoes. Happy New Year.

best shoe for the half size bigger for toe room, very little stretch for width and arch support was there

It’s a tight fit to first put your foot in but it is very comfortable after you break in the shoe.Can’t slip on has to loosen the string (shoe lace)

Perfect

As other reviews said, the toe area feels very narrow before the shoes are broken in. It was just a little uncomfortable at first, but I gave them a few days and now they are so comfortable! The top of the ankle support will rub a bit before your legs are used to it, but I never got any painful blisters as other shoes do. These boots haven't chewed on my heels at all, which is something I find unbearable in other pairs. Style-wise, they are so cute! Several people have commented that they couldn't really tell it's a safety shoe. I wear a women's 7, and that's what I ordered. They fit very well, and I've been so comfortable during my 12 hour nights. Give the shoes a chance! The sort of cramped feeling in the toe goes away once they're broken in!

Nice shoes but need bigger size

Was a bit of a squirm to put my foot in at first, but a loosening of the strings and a pull of the tongue did the trick. Felts comfortable plenty of space toe space, true to size I am a size 6. Also, came with an extra pack of laces in a different color. Feeling content and satisfied with my purchase.

Decent fit

My shoes arrived and they feel awesome. I can barely feel the toe guard, they are a bit heavy on my feet, but over all comfortable and warm..

These shoes fit as desired. I did get them a half size larger so I could wear my anti fatigue insoles comfortably.
